Morning. Cloud and rain forecast here today. Meant to be 29° on Friday Shock might take the dc to London Wednesday not sure yet...

Lazy day today.

MarshmallowManiac · 27/07/2020 11:39

Morning everyone.
Heavy rain here a moment ago, but now just overcast.

This is the Christmas Planner I went for Crazy

Countdown to Christmas 2020 (thread 8): those bendy yellow bastards!
MarshmallowManiac · 27/07/2020 11:45

I am really happy with it, I have Christmas card list, place for gift ideas, present planning, gifts received, notes, entertaining, meal planning, fave Christmas recipes, cooking schedule, shopping lists, calendar, things to do, and a place to put lists and pieces of paper YAYY Crazy [santa]

Hope your street is tranquil and peaceful now Mrs Smile

Sounds like a lovely day Most

That should be a day in the calendar I feel Boots

Woolly I hadn't been shopping since March but on Saturday we braved the crowds (and had a coffee in Costa for the first time in months) and had a really lovely day Smile

NoWordForFluffy · 27/07/2020 12:48

We're on the way home now. So far it's wet, but not monsoon!

I'm exhausted. And I need to speed cross stitch / frame when I get home as I need to get my friend's baby gifts in the post today. The last post is 5.30 at the post office about a mile away. I'll be home at about 3.30. I'm pretty sure I can do it with a bit of help from DH to find the frame / box / put the last bits of the present together! Grin

Sounds like a perfect day most

puss me too - I absolutely cannot teach myself to knit no matter how hard I try

Who were you arguing with Fluffy?

Planner looks lovely Marshmallow

I'm taking a break from frantically trying to tie up a load of work - I think this is how my last 3 days are going to go tbh

Never mind. Get to see nieces and nephews later and that always cheers me up!

HairsprayBabe · 27/07/2020 13:10

Still not had a baby, still not moved house

NoWordForFluffy · 27/07/2020 13:18

Did you ring the Land Registry, Hairspray?

Crazy, it was the Calpol thread in AIBU. I was having great fun poking the OP with a metaphorical stick! 🙈😂

I used to be able to knit. I assume I still can, but I'm not really interested!

HairsprayBabe · 27/07/2020 14:52

Yes sorry should have given a better update on the house that was crap 😂

So. For speed the land reg have us the option of holding both the freehold and the leasehold and just waiting for the lease to eventually expire rather than removing the lease all together.

We sent our signed contracts and other documents over to our solicitors on Friday morning. As well as paying our deposit.

I really really hope everything falls into place super neatly now, the bank releases funds and the seller chucks us the keys so we can move at the weekend.

I think it is pretty wishful thinking, and we do have a plan B I just don't want to do it 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 27/07/2020 14:54

That sounds logical. Good on them!

FX for the weekend!

NerosFiddle · 27/07/2020 18:48

Evening all.

We had a nice break away at the weekend and I'm trying to spend less time on my phone.

Hope everyone is well.

MarshmallowManiac · 27/07/2020 19:07

Hairspray happy that the details are slowly falling into place for you, good luck for the weekend.

Neros glad to hear you had a lovely break Smile

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 27/07/2020 19:14

I am close to tears here as some boys have just made off with every single one of the apples from the tree in our front garden. I worked so hard at keeping that tree healthy this year and it was doing amazingly. I have to say that for me this is the last straw for the area we live in, so sick of being surrounded by people who speed, run red lights, break into sheds and now steal my apples!

WreckTangled · 27/07/2020 19:17

Oh no most that's horrible!

TheWoollybacksWife · 27/07/2020 20:05

Oh most that is utterly shit. Do any of your neighbours have CCTV or a Ring doorbell that might have captured some footage? Have you got any decent neighbours that might have seen something?

TheWoollybacksWife · 27/07/2020 20:10

Round here people would be falling over themselves to post grainy photos on the local FB page, tagging the neighbourhood watch guy and setting up vigilante patrols to "keep the streets safe". It's going so far in the opposite direction that there's a core of busy bodies that are challenging legitimate tradesmen and querying visitors. They practically self combusted last week over three fireworks at 10:30pm. There was a lots of frothing about a sinister van that was driving around the estate in the early hours of the morning until someone worked out they were talking about the milkman 🤣

Mrsmadevans · 27/07/2020 20:12

Evening everyone 😀
Been to Cyfartha parc today shopio but didn't buy anything. Did 3 loads of washing & had to dry it in the tumble . I HAD to do it 😬🙄. Dd1 did Mum for us today but Mum ate a while box of sugar free sweets yesterday and it has Sorbitol in and we all know what happens when you have too much Sorbitol. Dd1 is an angel bless her . I just told her to black bag the lot and bring it home for me to see to💩👃😬🙄.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/07/2020 20:24

Most, the utter cockwombles. What arseholes. I'm so sorry.

OP posts:
MarshmallowManiac · 27/07/2020 20:28

Oh no Most that's terrible, Flowers little toerags, hope one of your neighbours saw something.

Mrsmadevans · 27/07/2020 20:43

AHH most l was too wrapped up in my 💩 washing to see your msg. I hope the little bgrs have a dose of what my Mother had! 💐

pussycatinboots · 27/07/2020 20:49

most mate, that's awful. It's why we have nothing out the front not even a welcome mat anymore as it will sprout legs and walk away.

Mrsmadevans · 27/07/2020 22:15

Oh forgot to update you re the electrics , they worked outside till half 3 this morning, everyone is knackered here Grin all sorted now though thankfully Smile

pussycatinboots · 28/07/2020 05:27

Xmas Shock how did we get here so quickly?!

NDNs cat has been fighting under our bedroom window for half an hour, so I got up to make a Brew, DH was snoring when I took it back up to him Hmm

I may have to send our 2 up to bounce on the bed and wake him. 😈😺🐱‍👤

NoWordForFluffy · 28/07/2020 07:11

Morning!

We'll be below-100 before we know it! (We celebrate Mr Firefly's birthday at 100 days!)

I was going to go to the allotment today, but it's apparently windy (seems like it's not too bad for now, actually, but I'm not risking it!). The kitchen needs to be cleaned and I need to dust too. Plus I'm going to Home Bargains at some point. The excitement is beyond measure. 😂😂

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 28/07/2020 07:11

Did you send the cats up, Boots?

OP posts:
pussycatinboots · 28/07/2020 07:30

Yup 😁😹😇

Home Bargains? Wowzers! That's so exciting 🤣🤣
We're off to Sains in a bit - highlight of the week!

It's a bit blowy out there, and really black, so I suspect there might be a bit more rain to come saves DH getting his hose out🤐😱
