I just noticed we only have 20 posts left and I'm off to the allotment! So here is thread 7!

DS is really sensitive, so we avoid mentioning anything like that as well, Fluffy.

We went to the National Space Centre in February, and managed to avoid it until the big cinema show. Although, DS was too distracted being upset about the dog the Russians abandoned up there to realise. He concluded that the Americans rescued her when they went up (3 years later Confused)

NoWordForFluffy · 17/07/2020 09:53

Yes, that's why I'd not mentioned it before too, Firefly.

An abandoned dog would probably upset him more (his favourite cuddly toy is a dog!).

NoWordForFluffy · 17/07/2020 09:55

Oh, and DS sometimes says stuff similar to the potential dog rescue. I just make non-committal noises! Makes for an easier life right now. I can explain more later!

Morning everyone.

Bit overcast and chilly here today but we were promised sun

Mrs think they call you up until age 64 [sun] My smear test is due Summer 2021 I think, put everything on calendar, or I would forget it too. Grin

Lovely Christmas towel Crazy

Count to 10 Why Flowers

Have a fabulous last day Most

No it's not bad at all Crazy, if I had the same I would be zooming through Netflix crime dramas, and then sitting in the garden with a book and a Baileys and a Frys bar-- enjoying the nonexistent sun! Grin

Fluffy we have been taking them too, and everyone seems to be well fingers crossed Grin The Duvet looks fabulous but I don't think I would sleep a wink Wink

Fabulous rocket Firefly, shame my DC are too old for it my DH and I would love it though!

MarshmallowManiac · 17/07/2020 10:28

Mrs don't know why I wrote sun, possibly dreaming of some Grin Grin

BiddyPop · 17/07/2020 11:06

OMG, I don't post in (about a week?), and you have another thread over half full!! Work is bananas, I've had to go into the office a good few days and will again next week - but should be done by next Friday with the ultra important aspects, so can enjoy a week off in peace. Maybe. And catch up with all you chatty people!! Xmas Grin Happy CIJ!

NoWordForFluffy · 17/07/2020 11:28

I was admitted to hospital 6 years ago today as DS was an unstable transverse lie and there was a risk of cord prolapse if my waters went. So I went in so I was there if they did go (Cat 1 section if so, to be whisked out in 15 minutes or less!).

Anyway, this was the food option given on my first day (bottom item)! I still laugh now.

It was bloody roasting at the time. Hideous week in there.

Patient Meat Sandwich! Don't all sandwiches just sit and wait until you eat them 🤣

MarshmallowManiac · 17/07/2020 11:59

Haha Fluffy I think I would fancy an Impatient Meat Sandwich as if it can't wait to be eaten! Grin

CrazyBaubles · 17/07/2020 12:07

A peaceful week off Biddy? I'm not sure you know how to do that!

A patient meat sandwich Fluffy? 😱

FireflyGirl · 17/07/2020 12:08

I just actually guffawed Blush

That's what happens to you if you press the nurse call button too much Wink

I was in for 3 days after having DS, the food actually wasn't too bad but my favourite part of the day was about 9pm when the tea lady came round before bed - I don't drink tea, so she used to give me extra biscuits. Not all heroes wear capes...

CrazyBaubles · 17/07/2020 12:09

So today, neighbour who was drilling / banging yesterday continues to drill and other neighbour is having some work done - I think it's their garden but could well be the house instead / as well as I can feel the banging on the walls inside my house 😩

It's a sunny day outside and I was going to spend my lunch break sat in the garden but don't see myself enjoying that very much now

NoWordForFluffy · 17/07/2020 12:29

I envisaged a Sweeney Todd-type character in the hospital basement! 😂😂

Readers, I didn't have the sandwich (I had pie)!

Your neighbours are menaces, Crazy.

£63.37

  • £73.06 Delivery

Shock that's one of the options for the Playmobil Rocket listed .

Does the delivery involve a Ferrari and Gerald Butler bringing it to the door ?

Patient Meat Sandwich could be made from actual patients ......like Shepherds Pie

NoWordForFluffy · 17/07/2020 12:37

I'd want an actual rocket for that price! 🚀

Mrsmadevans · 17/07/2020 12:54

I see Princess Bea has married her beau .

MarshmallowManiac · 17/07/2020 12:56

I'd want a voyage to the moon for that 70 preferably with Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin in situ. Grin Grin

Remember when I had my DD (caesarean) and the day nurses told me to not get up, but ring the bell whenever needed. Then the horrendous lazy tea drinking doctor bashing-- night nurses arrived, and promptly told me how they'd never met anyone who rang the bell so much!! Can't win eh Grin

Just had a lovely bath with Body Shop bubbles while reading Slimming World and munching a jammy doughnut Wink

MarshmallowManiac · 17/07/2020 12:58

Ahh Mrs she looks so happy Smile

FireflyGirl · 17/07/2020 13:04

I'd forgotten all about her, MrsM. Good for her going ahead with the wedding without the pomp. Shame other people don't have the money to rearrange their weddings like that.

That's a crazy price for the rocket, 70. I figured it would go oos pretty quickly at that low price, which is why I posted it on here as well as the bargain thread. I usually miss out on those types of bargains!

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 17/07/2020 13:04

When I was in hospital after having DS the food was brought on a trolley and you had to go up to get it. The trolley stayed for about 5 minutes. No help offered if you were busy feeding baby or struggling on the loo changing pads etc. Was in for four days and managed one meal! It was awful.

Mrsmadevans · 17/07/2020 13:18

Where did you see her please Maniac

NerosFiddle · 17/07/2020 13:19

Patient meat pie yum.

When I was in hospital in December they served me some sort of grey meat slice thing and veggies that must have been on the boil since the millennium. Thankfully I was nil by mouth

Mrsmadevans · 17/07/2020 13:21

They were catering for everyone Fluffy Meat eaters, Vegan , Vegetarian, lactose intolerate , Gluten free and Cannibals [grin

Mrsmadevans · 17/07/2020 13:25

Yes it's good she went ahead Fire. l don't bame her keeping it private. I did have my doubts about Edo but with the shit show that is Prince Andrew's life atm . l have to give it to him for standing by her. I hope she is very happy ..... they are very happy , it's not her fault her father is a liability. As for Fergie, well say what you like about her she has stuck like glue to Andrew, been so loyal to him and it makes you wonder what she has had to put up with. She can't be that bad because those girls of theirs haven't set a foot wrong tbf.

Mrsmadevans · 17/07/2020 13:26

Am just desperate to see her though & what everyone wore Smile
