I just noticed we only have 20 posts left and I'm off to the allotment! So here is thread 7!

Fluffy similar issue here - I zone out completely and it drives DH nuts but he does the same with his phone

Have a lovely last day most

Is it bad that DH is going to
end of term drinks (outdoors) after work today and I'm excited because I can watch something murderous on tv and cross stitch without feeling like I'm being a bit of a rubbish wife?

NoWordForFluffy · 17/07/2020 07:59

161

Scrolling back to check the previous day's countdown has become a bloody mission! 😂😂

I bookmark each section Fluffy or it takes ages.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/07/2020 08:01

Crazy, I neeeeeeeeed those towels. Where are they from?!

At least it's not just me that zones out blocks my DH from existence when I'm doing something! 😁

Mrs I nearly fell out of bed laughing at the idea of Fluffy being Julie Andrews!! The stories I could tell you 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 17/07/2020 08:02

Woolly, did you mention Vit D yesterday? We've been taking that and C during the pandemic as they're apparently useful. The C ones are like sodding horse tablets.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/07/2020 08:04

Oh, and I'd love that, Crazy. Can your DH take my DH with him?!

CrazyBaubles · 17/07/2020 08:05

Fluffy they were from TK Maxx. They have reduced lots of stuff to clear stock from when the stores were closed. Dm works there so shes been picking up all sorts of bargains (handbags, suitcase, socks, saucepans). She's driving df mad but I'm not complaining!

Ooh you have to tell some why !

NoWordForFluffy · 17/07/2020 08:06

Fellow bedding fans (we have far too many sets in this house!)...anyone up for this one?!

My aunt (PJ's mum) just shared it on her Facebook! 😱😱😱😱

OMG DD1 would have a conniption if she saw that duvet set never mind if I actually bought it. She'd never sleep another wink. We have to fast forward the spider scenes in Harry Potter and the LOTR films.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/07/2020 08:18

It's not just the spider, it's that it's 3D in effect! I wouldn't want it!

I've got better with spiders since having an allotment, however.

Beautiful towels Crazy 🤗
Enjoy your murderous cross stitching tonight 😂
That duvet cover is something else! 🕷️🕸️😂

HairsprayBabe · 17/07/2020 08:32

Morning all,

I went to see my grandparents yesterday - social distancing of course. They are very excited about their first great grandchild, so I don't think I will be able to enforce any type of social distancing when baby does make an appearance 🤷

They have been at home the whole time with my dad's brother dropping shopping off, so I think the risk is very minimal from them - it's the risk to them from us that I don't like!

I still have all 4 grandparents and I would like to keep it that way!!!

I need to have a good clear out of all our bedding - problem is it is in ok condition I just don't like a lot of it! I don't want to bin it because it's wasteful but the charity shops round me still aren't open either!

Mrsmadevans · 17/07/2020 08:35

You know 161 means it is cracking on !

CrazyBaubles · 17/07/2020 08:40

Fluffy 😱 at that bedding!

Hairspray I don't think social distancing is enforceable when it comes to children.
I bumped in to my friend and her daughter in the park a few weeks ago. Before either of us could even try to stop her, she ran up and jumped on me, telling me off - "Auntie Crazy you haven't seen me in ages and ages" followed by a non stop, no punctuation sentence about not going to school, watching Frozen 2 and learning to ride a bike 😂

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 17/07/2020 08:44

Crazy I think Fluffy would kill me if I shared her stories to be fair and she is down soon 😂

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 17/07/2020 08:45

That bedding is hideous Fluffy I am tempted to hide that post from my feed or I will freak out every time it appears.

FireflyGirl · 17/07/2020 08:47

Amazon have dropped the price of the Playmobil space rocket to £15, and £1 bonus if you select slow delivery. Usually £50, previous lowest price was £28.99 according to CCC. I doubt it'll stay at this price for long.

I've just posted on the bargain thread, but thought I'd post on here too for anyone who doesn't check that often.

I've ordered one each for DS and DN.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/07/2020 08:56

Eek. That's what I've just ordered for DS. I don't have Prime, but it's still way cheaper even with postage.

My in-laws have Prime but aren't answering the phone / messages and these things go up quickly!

Thank you!!!

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 17/07/2020 09:02

Ordered it for DS too, thanks Fire :) We have a lot of Lego City stuff but DS doesn't like building them just playing with them and I am sick of having to rebuild them so I think Playmobil is a better bet.

Mrsmadevans · 17/07/2020 09:05

Ohhh my DH would love be that 😂

Mrsmadevans · 17/07/2020 09:05

Love!

NerosFiddle · 17/07/2020 09:07

Morning!

I'm tempted by it but I think it's too old for ds

NoWordForFluffy · 17/07/2020 09:27

Most, DS loves Lego, and I was looking for a Lego rocket. Then found the Playmobil one with sounds etc, and he'll adore it. I actually ordered it from Very at £39 the other day, so even having to pay postage it's half that price!

DS is obsessed with shuttles at the moment! I'd managed to keep the Challenger disaster from him until last night when a YouTube video mentioned it! Ah well, he'd have found out at some point; it was all the 'Why?' questions afterwards which I'd been avoiding! 😂😂 I muttered something about O-rings failing (the extent of my knowledge!).

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 17/07/2020 09:37

Oh, I did tell him also that back in the day all shuttle launches were on TV, so we all watched it happen live. He didn't seem very impressed!
