We use our Echos for music, alarms, reminders, to talk to the kids when they’re in another room without having to bellow, we have a smart plug so we turn the heated airer on and off, and I create my shopping list on it.

I’ve just bought two echo dots (been waiting for Black Friday discount and an echo show (with a screen). Does anyone have an echo show? If I put one in dds room and one downstairs can I use it to video call her? Or if I have one in Ds’ room can I use it as a baby video monitor?

My main things i am looking for atm are a basic laptop for a 11/12 year old, and either a ps4 or an xbox one with game of choice being minecraft!

Also looking at the echo dots going cheap on amazon. Two dc have asked for these, we already have a big one downstairs. Will it drive me nuts if two of them have them in bedrooms next to each other. Will there be an Alexa war?

MrsLeclerc posted an offer on the Honor 10 phone. I just wanted to say that it looks a rught bargain to me. I bought the Honor 9 with less memory for about £160 eighteen months ago. I think it's a great phone. My favourite ever. So far I haven't noticed any effects from the Huawei scandal (Huawei own Honor). £209 is a great price.
