Thank you @CupoTeap for the title!

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Restlessinthenorth · 21/11/2019 15:28

Help...looking for some nice men's slippers, designer ones if poss. If anyone sees any good Black Friday offers, please give us a shout!

Zillaindie · 21/11/2019 15:34

Sounds like they have doubled up a lot of the Hype orders...
I also have a plain green and Sandy from Spongebob.

Happy to do a straight swap with someone for the Sandy one if someone has a need or use for it, send me a PM and can work it out.

Looking4wards · 21/11/2019 15:49

Can someone please explain to a very non-techy me about smart plugs?
Am I right in thinking that if I plug a table lamp into a smart plug, I'll be able to turn the light on/off from my iphone (if I download the app for it), even if I'm not at home?
Do I need a something like Alexa if I just use it via the app not voice control?
What are the decent but barginous brands to buy please?

Kraggle · 21/11/2019 15:49

Ooh @Lovemusic33 do you think iron on patches would work on the bags? That would be a perfect solution if I could jazz up our plain green one.

Christmascookiesmmmm · 21/11/2019 16:01

Not particularly festive but I wanted to buy a cast iron skillet or frying pan for DP, have spotted one in Aldi if anyone could vouch? I’ve no idea what seasoned means as I’ve never had one before! Could anyone recommend? Think le Creuset seems too expensive but I would pay more for one that will last!

Smelly50 · 21/11/2019 16:08

Seasoned is putting oil in the pan , heating til smoking and wiping with kitchen roll. Helps make it not stick and last longer . I have had aldi pans and not had a problem as long as they are looked after , ie not using scourers and often I just wipe clean and not wash

imsorryiasked · 21/11/2019 16:09

yumi have some kids onesies (unicorn / reindeer) and lots of women's clothes and accessories.
20% off with code FOLLOW20 - works on sale stuff but £2.95 shipping.

Chippytheelf29 · 21/11/2019 16:10

If anyone knew of an ASOS discount I'd be really grateful?

imsorryiasked · 21/11/2019 16:18

Tesco have echo dot @ £22 and Google home mini @ £19, plus firestick / chromecast for £20 each.

MulberryPeony · 21/11/2019 16:20

Still holding out for a Boden money off code if anyone has one to PM pretty please.

As an aside I think codes should be kept in here so web trawlers can’t access them and effectively give them to non Mumsnetters. I’m already a bit miffed how quickly they go on this thread given only a few people bother to reply saying when they have used them. There must be a lot of lurkers!

recklessgran · 21/11/2019 16:20

@Chippytheelf29, hold fire, I'll pm you in a sec.

Luxplus · 21/11/2019 16:21

Luxplus · 21/11/2019 16:22

I can't order from m&sor boden but don't mind the codes ect.

recklessgran · 21/11/2019 16:33

@MulberryPeony I agree with you about the codes - I think they should stay on here. I'd love a Boden code too but keep missing them.

Letsbegin · 21/11/2019 16:34

@margaritasbythesea re the giraffe he still loves him. He named him Gerald - very original and after 3 years he's still in pride of place next to his bed. However we may have to make some room for the giant melissa and Doug dinosaur I've brought him for this Christmas!

Carrie76 · 21/11/2019 16:36

Someone recommended a hand held game console with a few games on it on a previous thread. Can anyone remember the name of it, or better again link to it please?
I’ve done a search but can’t find it.

PinkDaydreams · 21/11/2019 16:36

Mumsnetters you are a bad influence.......turns out I need a lavazza milk frother and didn’t realize! Confused

noseynose · 21/11/2019 16:53

@recklessgran I've PM'd you a code. Expires 26/11.

PinkJam · 21/11/2019 16:58

@MulberryPeony I am also miffed that the codes being posted are obviously being taken by lurkers and I think people who are only on here for the codes rather than to participate. I have mentioned before that I would advise people to PM codes rather than upload a photo or put them on here for all to see. But it’s obviously up to individual posters what they prefer to do.

PinkJam · 21/11/2019 16:59

And I think if people take a code they should at least be polite and mention that they have used one.

Tooner · 21/11/2019 17:00

Mulberry, it annoys me so much when people very kindly go to the trouble of posting codes and then somebody nabs them quickly and then doesn't even have the common courtesy to say thankyou.

Also people posting a blunt.... I want a 'whatever'. No please or thankyou.
So rude.

lotsofthingstolearn · 21/11/2019 17:03

Please can someone point me in the direction of the Touche Eclait deal- I can't find it anywhere.....
