Thank you @CupoTeap for the title!

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Can anyone help me with bags? My dd (13) has a Hype bag which is dying. What's cool nowadays? She is so unfashionable a d hasn't a care in the world, but I don't want to make her a target!

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 20/11/2019 21:32

Huge apologies - my son JUST asked for an ammonite fossil for Xmas and I have searched but for the life of me can’t find the recommended company that someone mentioned on here! They said you give them a budget and they let you know what there is in stock?

Unihorn · 20/11/2019 21:38

Was that the Jurassic Jim Facebook page?

WisestIsShe · 20/11/2019 21:41

@EvilHerbivore I used to tell DC the same. Every year without fail father Christmas left a wrapped potato for DH and the children thought it hilarious. We started to escalate it to a bag etc and last year he got a sackful! Even though DC are now teens they laughed

WisestIsShe · 20/11/2019 21:43

@springlike I'm sure I've seen them in Primark. We are off to Florida next year and have considered them. They only do the Harry potter one in cabin size though.

Themazeoflife · 20/11/2019 22:06

I had the fossil link saved

IJustWantToWearDungarees · 20/11/2019 22:36

@UnderTheSleepingBaby oh my goodness that one is brilliant, too! Thank you! Now going to have to decide between them. Never though I would find one, let alone two!

gaggiagirl · 20/11/2019 22:45

@NotYourHolidayDick hype is still cool! Or Nike. Most kids from our local secondary have hype or Nike

binday · 20/11/2019 22:48

I have two M&S codes. PM me if anyone needs one

beadyboo · 20/11/2019 22:58

For those of you who bought the buyagift vouchers a few weeks back, I just wanted to report back that I used mine for afternoon tea with my mum.
For the bargain price of £10 we had a gorgeous tea for 2 at cafe rouge. It was easy to book.
Thank you to the poster who first mentioned it.

I’ve come out of hiding to ask for some help,

I’m looking for a decent quality shopping bag that can be personalised with my own motto/phrase. Bag needs to have a gusset/bottom, not just 2 pieces of fabric sewn together. Problem is secret Santa budget is only £10. (But could stretch to £15)

HauntedmessFrogbeaver · 21/11/2019 00:01

I've got some good personalised stuff cheap from here plus you get 20% off your first order

noodledoodler · 21/11/2019 00:07

Nice one @beadyboo 😀

binday · 21/11/2019 00:08

Both my codes are gone now

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 21/11/2019 05:20

Thanks @Unihorn and @WisestIsShe!

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 21/11/2019 05:21

Whoops, meant @Themazeoflife!

imsorryiasked · 21/11/2019 06:51

Wayfair have some good reductions on xmas trees/decs etc.
Also spotted this kidcraft wooden baking set (food mixer, cookies etc) for £12.99. Have other colours if you search for £13.99. However p&p is £5 for orders under £40 so go to Amazon if you're not buying anything else.

Wayfair also have this rather hideous delightful naked Santa ornament which might make a good secret Santa gift?

Finally Amazon have the ryans world advent calendar down to £16.99.

CupoTeap · 21/11/2019 06:54

Morning all

Anyone else start their day here everyday Grin

margaritasbythesea · 21/11/2019 06:58

Can anyone help me think of somewhere i haven't thought of to look for extra large soft toys, please? Dd wants one but we've trawled all the websites i can think if and the only thing she likes so far is the Melissa and Doug Giraffe which is £80 or an orangutan from Selfridges that costs £70.It's not her main present! We were going for the Ikea Orangutan linked to threads ago but she's decided she doesn't like its eyes.

I have more MandS codes valid today to 25th. PM me if you want one.

margaritasbythesea · 21/11/2019 06:58

Ooo me CupoTea! With a cup of tea!

Vebrithien · 21/11/2019 07:03

imsorryiasked That naked Santa! My eyes! shouldn't have looked

imsorryiasked · 21/11/2019 07:05

Reastie · 21/11/2019 07:06

Margaritas it depends how giant you’re thinking. Costco I believe do a giant teddy. I’ve seen pretty large cuddlies in home bargains before.

@margaritasbythesea asda or aldi at the moment I believe. Asda have been selling Disney ones and when my dad was In Aldi last week he caught a lady taking a selfie with a giant sloth
