Pigs in blankets. How many per person?

My DM is hosting Christmas lunch but has bought a 12 pack of pigs in blankets for 6 adults and one child. Before I look like a greedy sod and take another 12 pack with me, how many per person should be served?

Your mother is in the wrong.

We have 50 for 5 adults and 1 child! They will be snaffled after as a snack....

TheBitterBoy · 23/12/2018 12:29

I've got 48 between six, and one is a vegetarian! I initially thought you meant 12 packs, and thought maybe that was slightly ott, but one pack of 12 wouldnt touch the sides here!

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 23/12/2018 12:38

Eeek. I have 12 to serve 4 adults and 2 children. Is there going to be a riot?

SauvignonBlanche · 23/12/2018 12:45

I’d bought 24 for 5 of us but thought better of it and bought another 12 this morning. Xmas Smile

ipswichwitch · 23/12/2018 12:45

Where on earth did you get foot long pigs in blankets Puppy? And more importantly, why don’t I have any? 😂

JudgeRindersMinder · 23/12/2018 12:48

I just made 48. There are 3 of us for dinner. I don’t foresee them lasting till Boxing Day...I’m wondering how dd who went vegetarian this year will cope, if anything breaks her it’ll be the pigs in blankets 😂

ilovepixie · 23/12/2018 12:49

I would eat 12 and more by myself!

MummyItsallaboutyou · 23/12/2018 12:52

I did 72 last year. Full size ones not the piddly little ones. That was for 7 adults and 6 children.

saphycat · 23/12/2018 12:56

At least 100 per person. There are never too many pigs in blankets. They make Christmas Christmas.

richierichardsaunt · 23/12/2018 13:01

I have 4 bags to cook and there will be three of us.

I will have too many said no one ever

KittenEsque · 23/12/2018 13:06

Double whatever number you think is reasonable.

Princess1066 · 23/12/2018 13:08

Too many is never enough Xmas Grin

Flooffloof · 23/12/2018 13:14

There are never enough pigs in blankets. I can cook a hundred for 4 people and have none leftover. And I love them cold later on. Need leftover pigs

Nenic · 23/12/2018 13:14

I’ve got 36 for 2 adults and a child plus another 2 packs in the freezer for back up

Babygrey7 · 23/12/2018 13:21

I have 2pp

Will need to go to shops again Grin

Quickerthanavicar · 23/12/2018 13:22

About 15

user1486250399 · 23/12/2018 13:22

Oh my goodness, thousands! They are excellent leftovers and you must have them in your boxing day sandwich... take 50.

NicoAndTheNiners · 23/12/2018 13:23

I'm the only non vegetarian in the house and have bought myself a pack of 12!

MrsMcGarry · 23/12/2018 13:27

I make my own version with logs of sausagemeat and stuffing mixture to an ancient family recipe rather than sausages.

I’m not even having Christmas dinner this year (kids are at Dads and I’m not able to eat properly atm) but am still making about 30 because it’s jot xmas without a bowl of leftover pigs in blankets in the fridge

EmeryisntthenewWenger · 23/12/2018 14:44

I have 76 for 6 adults and 1 child...... if I don’t get lots I am sure I would have a mutiny on my hands!

BillywigSting · 23/12/2018 14:46

Between me, dp and my dad we could easily polish off a good 25-30. That's not including anyone else. They're the best bit after roast potatoes!

Definitely take more.

Frankswife87 · 23/12/2018 14:48

2 per person and 1 per child but I'm a tight arse! Xmas Grin

OliviaStabler · 23/12/2018 14:50

Depends on the size. Some pigs in blankets are small, some much bigger. I'd only go for ones with very crispy bacon as I hate the ones with visible fat.

jessstan2 · 23/12/2018 14:53

Two per person and some spares.
