Christmas food you can’t stand....

Everyone always talking about food they love at Christmas.. so I thought I’d be a bah humbug (even though I love christmas) and ask what you hate...
For me it has to be mince pies.....🤢
Christmas pudding and Christmas cake...
Any type of pate...

So let’s go...

Prawn cocktail 🤢 or any other kind of fish dish.

CHEESE with random non-cheese flavours or, even worse, with bits in...

Especially if those 'bits' are salted caramel, which I saw today WTF?

Christmas pudding and cake
Marzipan
Bread sauce (wet bread < not envy)
Trifle (wet sponge, see above)
Cranberry sauce
Mulled wine (why would I want hot wine?!)
Brandy butter / cream
I've not had eggnog, but I can't see myself rushing to try it as it sounds grim!
Turkey isn't my favourite either (I'm doing pork, beef and turkey this year).

I had never even heard of bread sauce until we did an xmas dinner in one of my student sharehouses, and I watched with horror as someone tipped this jug of lumpy grey sludge over their perfectly good dinner. I still have no truck with it. It tastes ultra bland and looks like the early stages of a craft project.

I eat pretty much anything, but I've also never cared for:
Kinnerton or BonBon Buddies advent 'chocolate'
Candy canes
Christmas cake with royal icing
Brandy butter
Blue cheese

Wenslydale with "things" in. There's nothing wrong with it as is, and it's impossible to find without cranberries, apricot or salted bloody caramel in it. Bligh.

Cheap chocs like celebrations, quality street and roses.
Smoked salmon
Cranberry sauce
Bread sauce
Mulled wine
Liqueur chocolates
All yuk but love everything else.

Christmas pudding, too stodgy.

I sampled some salted caramel cheese at a stall at a show, it was every bit as unpleasant as you might imagine.

Not a massive fan of turkey so we have venison. Safe to say that I love absolutely everything else

Trifle, anything with cream, sprouts Turkey breast, although I love the dark meat

Alcohol.
Christmas cake/pudding and mince pies.
Gravy
Cheeseboards.

Mince pies. Even the fancy ones mixed with salted caramel (from Waitrose) disgusting 😂

Sherry
Parsnips

Fruit cheese, fruit cake, pigs in blanket, stollen. I don't like turkey but would eat it.

Nuts. The ones you have to crack yourself. Ugh!!

I've never even seen bread sauce never mind ate it (and I'm a VERY adventurous eater.)

Though I didn't eat a mince pie until I was in my teens because my mum HATES them and never has them in the house; turns out she was right. I imagine she has also been protecting me from the horrors of bread sauce.

Don't like mince pies, can tolerate Christmas pudding and quite like Christmas cake. Hate sprouts, cauli and Stilton. Not keen on cheap chocolates or cheap and overly sweet Christmas log.

Never had bread sauce or pigs in blankets. Can't imagine I would like the bread sauce, though. We make bacon and cheese rolls similar to ones M&S used to do, they are lovely!

Marzipan and mulled wine are horrible as are after eights and matchmakers. I also hate hot chocolate which seems to be the staple treat to accompany Christmas films.

Love sprouts, bread sauce and turkey though.

Hate stuffing, never tried bread sauce because I really don’t like the look of it (reminds me of congealed baby sick).

Mince pies, stuffing, cheese, wine, bread sauce, christmas pudding, christmas cake. Yuck.

LOVE any Aldi sparkling wines...the only alcohol I like.
