Gooooood morning!
I am caffeinated Grin

Paddy’s feeling very pleased with himself as he’s managed to buy the baby monitor we want for Addie, for half the price we were going to pay for it and free delivery Grin

Still waiting on lots of deliveries, hopefully some arrive today! I want my new wrapping paper as still have quite a lot to wrap Grin

We were going to pick up my charm with dad’s ashes in today, but they’ve very kindly said they will post it to me as it’s a 40 minute journey each way to the funeral parlour!

Mrs - thank you for the peppermint tea advice and that link is very helpful too! I just want to do right by Addie and keep her safe, so I’m constantly googling what I eat and drink Grin
It’s so cool that my grandad can tell me about my mum and what she was like etc. Hmm maybe you are like your dad? It’s a strange thing gentetics isn’t it! I was an avid reader as a kid too, you wouldn’t see me without a book in my hand, my mum was like that too! When I went to school I discovered sport and then lost my interest in books! Ah thank you my lovely, what a lovely thing to say! I hope they are proud Grin that view looks lovely! I hope you have a lovely day at goldcliff my dear Grin recharge your batteries and try not to stress too much about your sis looking after them! You’re no use to anyone if you don’t take a break and end up getting poorly! Flowers my nausea has gone as has the migraine and headache woohoo! Yep my birthday is the 24th and I’ll be 28 😁 my mum died when she was 27 so I’ve outlived her which is a very weird thought! My grandad told me I was born at 11.59pm so very nearly an Xmas day baby 😆Grin he was also saying that my mum was so excited that I was a girl after having 5 boys, that she nearly dropped me as she couldn’t contain how happy she was 😂

Wheelie - oooo 15 lightbulbs, I bet that didn’t brighten up your day very much Grin I hope you are feeling cheerier today treacle! Your dads tree looks fabulous, what a grand job you’ve all done! Candy canes and peppermint tea are both in the cupboard should the nausea return haha. I hope you are sleeping well and that your infusion goes well today Flowers

FrangelicoCandyBoughs · 17/12/2018 11:21

Morning all! Boys are at school, last week!. I’m watching This Morning, the children singing the carols have made me cry!.

Philomensapie · 17/12/2018 12:14

No Mrs, I went back to sleep, then woke up with my lovely sunrise on my phone at 5.40! Xmas Grin

I had halloumi, eggs, a flat mushroom, a tomato, beans, hash browns and toast, a banana and a coffee today. 😋🍳🍌☕

Seafoodeatit · 17/12/2018 12:31

Acey Christmas eve birthday! how exciting! (I'm very confused, I thought paddy was your grandad this whole time! Blush.

I hope everyone has had a good weekend, I've been away visiting family and have loads of pages to read back through!

CrazyBaubles · 17/12/2018 12:37

MrsMad You have the patience of a saint with your family. I would have lost my temper with sister by now if I were you. I think it's great that you're using your nursing persona to tell them off!
I don't understand why you've been given that cushion - I think I'd either have binned it or given it to the local animal sanctuary.

You're very brave facing Cwmbran today. My DM was going to go after she finished work at 12 but cancelled when she saw the queues for the car park!

Wheelie I love your pic and your dress is fabulous.
I hope you're feeling ok and the infusion works well for you 🤞

Elf the musical was good. Fun and catchy songs. I know the name David Essex who was in it but no idea what he's famous for sorry MrsMad

I have my last day of annual leave before Christmas today. It's my wrapping day. I have the Christmas lights on, heating on (it's freezing here), dogs snoring and I'm about halfway through. I'm using my ironing board as a work bench and am just about to put on my second film Muppets Christmas Carol (I've watch Christmas Chronicles which I loved). Just using my mini tea break to post then back to it!

AceyMac13 · 17/12/2018 12:38

Sea - oh god I’m laughing so hard, bless you, Paddy is definitely not my grandad 😂 although my grandads middle name is paddy 😂 oh that’s made my day, I’ve just told paddy and he’s like ‘I’m only 30 not 80 do I look that bad’ 😂
Hope you had a nice time visiting family!

We are eating pizza and I’m enjoying coke with vanilla, it’s sent Addie wappy whoops Grin

My grandad got me a new stocking, it’s got a llama on it, I’m easily pleased Grin

AceyMac13 · 17/12/2018 14:40

Yay, had a notification that my wrapping paper delivery is due tomorrow Grin

Been having fun with the lightbox that will go in Addie’s room Grin

FrangelicoCandyBoughs · 17/12/2018 15:45

Acey I love that lightbox, Addie is due close to my DH’s birthday!. I also thought Paddy was your grandad too!

Crazy I really didn’t like Christmas Chronicles, the only reason I watched it was for Kurt Russel!. I hope you had a productive day, I’ve done all my wrapping, just will see if I buy any last minute bits.

Mrs I hope you had a good day, lovely. It seemed very jam packed!. And you’re right, you need a day off sometimes.

Philomena I love seeing what you eat, it all sounds really tasty.

FrangelicoCandyBoughs · 17/12/2018 15:48

Laszlo has been crying a lot today, starting to worry he has colic (I know I sound silly but I’m such a worrier). I’m taking him for a walk around the park later and hoping the fresh air might help him a little. The big boys have only just got home son DH is doing a cottage pie and we’re going to have some gingerbread men that the twins made for pudding!.

WheelchairWoes · 17/12/2018 16:50

fluffy 4 days? Fantastic! Are you ready? LOL

PSB it was so funny to get free lightbulbs but hey! Everyone needs more light!

Hard to believe in 1 week it will be Christmas Eve!

Those sound like good pressies to me.

Mrs You definitely need a break but I understand worrying about Dsis doing it.

Acey YAY for baby monitors! LOL Today is another sunny day! I do have another appointment at 2 pm. This is with the Psych finally since they rescheduled my last one.

I LOVE that light box!! I need one! lol

Frange Kids singing Christmas carols always gets me teary eyed. I'm sorry about your little man crying. I hope it's not colic. Maybe just a bad day.

Crazy good luck with all the wrapping!! We are done amazingly! No more wrapping lol

My iron infusion went well! The benedryl has made my mouth all dry but no bad side effects that I've noticed so that's fabulous news. I start seeing my new PCP tomorrow. I hope she's nice, if not, I'll keep looking for a good one.

Hard to believe I'll be getting an infusion on Christmas Eve. Seems a bit wild haha I do feel a little achey which might be from the infusion. It can give you bone pain sometimes.

My dad is driving a bus Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week and my carer is out here tomorrow and Friday.

Philomensapie · 17/12/2018 17:16

DS2's at his friend's house, DD and I had Lancashire hotpot for supper. 😋

AceyMac13 · 17/12/2018 17:30

I don’t know what genius designed this house, but the clever fucker decided putting a smoke alarm right above where the cooker goes would be a grand idea! 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️👏🏼
It wasn’t a problem with the electric one, but every single fucking time you turn this gas oven on, the fucking thing starts beeping, which then sets off the other 3 it’s linked to. It’s like a fucking symphony of alarms, not.fun.at.all. 🤬😡😠

We’ve got someone coming out tomorrow to hopefully relocate the bastard thing!

No no, Paddy is definitely not my grandad, that would be weird on so many levels 😂

Frange - that’s cool that she’s due close to your DH’s birthday. Hope everything is well with everyone.

Wheelie - you should have seen paddy’s face, he was so excited when he bought it Grin yay for baby monitors! I hope your appointment goes well later! I’m glad your infusion went well, yay for no side effects!
My dad was a bus driver for 10 years, he absolutely loved it!

Smoke alarms going off again, excuse me while I go smash it to smitherines (joking, fire safety is paramount obviously!)

NerosFiddle · 17/12/2018 17:36

Evening all. We've had a busy few days so haven't really been on. But will try and catch up.
We went out for dinner yesterday and saw Santa at the hotel. Then today l, it was the turn to go to DS crèche where Santa again made an appearance. Tomorrow is dd first birthday. We're having a wee tea party for her.

WheelchairWoes · 17/12/2018 17:55

Psb I hope your DS has fun. What is a Lancashire hotpot?

Acey We've had that issue with alarms. It drives me batty! My dad was a bus mechanic for about 35 years but he also taught the drivers. Now that he's retired he's a substitute driver because he knows how badly they need good drivers.

Fiddle YAY for two Santa trips! Happy birthday to your little DD!! I hope she has an amazing one.

My kids will be 15 and 13 in a few short weeks. I kind of want to cry and blubber like a baby.

Check out this killer chair cover I got for my chair! It stays on so well so I'm going to order one for the couch now! Plus it looks vintage which I love lol

NoWordForFluffy · 17/12/2018 18:02

Evening!

I'm glad your infusion went well, Wheelie. It must be a relief. That's a nifty chair cover there!

I've had such a busy day. I'm working on my task list all the way up to 1 Jan, so it's all a bit bonkers right now. I'm going up the wall a tiny bit, it has to be said. I just need to hold on until the January job merry-go-round and see what comes up that I can apply for! Only 3 days to go til my long break. Phew!

AceyMac13 · 17/12/2018 18:15

Wheelie! It’s so annoying, it’s going to be the death of me 😂
I love that chair cover, it looks hella awesome and vintage! You should definitely order one for the couch!

Maverick’s trying to climb up me as he wants picking up Grin

Forgot to attach a pic of my new stocking earlier, I love it Grin
And also 2 of Addie’s llama vests Grin

Going to stream the football later, then have a bath using this fabulous unicorn wearing a Santa hat bath bomb Grin

fluffy It's definitely a relief. I love the cover because unlike other ones....its not budging when I sit on it. It seems stuck on good and well.

I'm so glad you are almost at your break. You deserve some time to relax.

acey I'm totally going to order one for the couch ASAP. I ADORE that stocking, and those clothes, and your bath bomb! I discovered we can get CBD bath bombs here and I'm totally tempted to give it a go.

I'm on my way to my other appointment!

AceyMac13 · 17/12/2018 19:26

Got a very happy Addie this evening, she’s giving me a right kicking Grin

Wheelie - thank you lovely, I adore them all too Grin cbd bath bombs that’s hella cool! I hope everything goes well at your appointment!

We are streaming the football and I have this snoozy wee cutie on me Grin

Philomensapie · 17/12/2018 20:36

It's a traditional stew from Lancashire Wheelie.

Picked DS2 up, DD was in bed by 7.40, DS2 was in bed by 8. 😴

Mrsmadevans · 17/12/2018 20:50

Evening everyone😄
Well l don't know where to start with what happened today . Honestly I don't. I will do my bit then do another post once l have caught up l think is best🙄 Sorry ❤️
Anyway, we went to Goldcliff this morning and it was lovely there, the wind was blowing and the sun was shining and I could feel the stress lifting away from me as we walked 🌞🌊🐦 twas gorgeous! Then l rang the parents and my DSis answered , she said 'Dad is wondering when he will have this blood transfusion' , l was in M&S in Cwmbran at the time, something made me ring his consultants secretary and explain to them about Dad .They were amazing tbf, they said to take him there by 3, so if he needed treatment they would have time to give it to him in the Day ward. I rang my DSis told her to bring Dad & meet me at the hospital, which she did no arguments 🙄. When the consultant saw Dad she could see the state of him and how much he had deteriorated in 5 weeks. She looked at his bloods and said his kidneys were trying to get better and that it would be making him feel awful. She also said he had severe depression and that he would take this for another 6 weeks at least and that we will have to ride it out with him. She said his bloods re his leukemia are better but his bone marrow is behaving badly and his HB can't stay up. So she has arranged a blood transfusion for him in the morning in the hospital. I don't know what come over me to do this today but l was desperate. She was so kind to us , l wanted to buy her the biggest bouquet of flowers ever. I kept saying to her 'thank you so much l don't know how to thank you ' Dad loves her and feels safe with her . So blood transfusion in the morning continue with the ranitidine, low dose allopurinol, and his Citalopram. We will see how it goes but l am trying Everything I can . I know he is very elderly and he has to die one day but he is in such abject misery it is just awful to see him like it. I am just praying he feels better from the transfusion tomorrow. Anyway I will catch up with you all now and post in a few mins 😃

TheWoollybacksWife · 17/12/2018 21:25

Bless you MrsMad that sounds bloody hard. Thank goodness your dad has got a whole team of people fighting for him. You deserve Thanks too.

I been awol. Funeral was last week - very emotional. I've laughed and cried with my brothers and sisters and it was brilliant. An amazing tribute to Mum. My brother compiled a wonderful slideshow of photos - some of which I'd never seen before.

My cousins from Aber came as did two very elderly aunts - the last of that generation.

I've also resigned from my job so after Christmas I'll be a kept woman Xmas Grin
