Evening all! I'm not sure if this will be the last or the penultimate thread, but here goes!

Been to the parents , showered Mum dressed her nicely 'for Daddy' bless her , Washed & dressed Dad , he is about the same to be honest no different. I don't know why but l have started telling the DSIS where to go and how to do it. I suspect it is because the protective mode toward my patients l used to 'wear' when l was nursing has reared it's head . Dad said to Mum that she is very impatient with him , I am not having that, no way, so when she rang l told her straight. She denied it but l have told her. How dare she be like that to him, she's cruel and a bully. Definitely something wrong with her , have put a pic on of the cushion , lovely cushion but it is not in a very good state , l felt bad saying that to her but l couldn't help it at the time!

mrs I don't like your mom sometimes and not your Dsis either lol. Also that cushion is lovely but eeeeewww looks like it needs quite a bit to make it all nice.

I cannot wait to see what I get but it will probably not be anything exciting but still can't wait to see what turns up haha.

My iron infusion is in the morning and I'm kind of nervous about it.

Wheelie you are very astute to pick up on my Mum , she is very selfish, a bully , control freak , childish and has been spoilt by my Dad and everyone else. The Age concern lady came to help us with the forms for help for them and said to me straight out that Mum is very spoilt this was only after aout 5 mins of meeting her !! Despite this of course l love her to bits but suffice to say l have bought my own DDS up completely differently
I will wash that cushion cover to within a inch of its life and then put a new pad in and sew poppers on it so l can change the pad and wash it
Please don't be anxious over the iron infusion, they did one for Dad and it was over in about half an hour , think how much better you will feel after it

Mrs, you should tell your BiL and DH that you will both be with your parents for Christmas and they can either join you or sort themselves out for the entire day.

Fluffy , DSIS and Mum are very alike , they hate being told that they are like but it is true they are!
Cushion is grim indeedy! It needs fumigating , trouble with DSIS is she can't throw anything out , now imho it needed to go, she supposedly bought it from a stall . I will rescue it but it will be almost boiled to death lol.
You are right about the DH and Bil they can stay home on their own if they don't want to come. l will be spending Christmas day with my Dad no matter what happens.

Mrs I totally understand! My mum is the same way. Gd I love her but she is very spoiled and very selfish. The entire world is centered around her.

My worry about the infusion is that I'll have a reaction. They are giving me benedryl first though so at least there's that and my husband will stay with me during the infusion. IT should last about an hour and a half.

Fluffy Man I feel you on that. When my kids were that age I got them a portable dvd player because they'd go to bed with it and stop carrying on hahaha

Wheelie, l am sure you will be fine and as a plus the Bendadryl will chill you out too .
Sorry you have a Mum like mine, honestly mine is very spoilt and has to have her own way no matter what . She and my Dsis fight like hell all the time , l don't bother to cross her because l have realised there is no point , she makes me feel guilty and it just isn't worth it.

Mrs LOL very true! The benedryl will definitely chill me out. My husband says I shouldn't worry because I'll be at the hospital for the infusion and they know what to do if you have a reaction.

Your mom sounds a lot like mine! So much so it's almost scary

Mrs - that Cushion is vile and grim at best 🤢 if washing it doesn’t work, I suggest setting it on fire 😂 it definitely seems like your sister has picked up your mums traits too! At least you bypassed all the horrible qualities 😂
Sod everyone else, let them know you are going to spend Xmas with your dad, and if they don’t like it they can stay home and sort themselves out!

Wheelie - I’m sure your iron infusion will be fine, and you’ll feel so much better after! You are definitely in the right place should you have a reaction, but at least they are prepared and are taking preventative measures by giving you Benadryl!
We have candy canes in the cupboard, I will give anything a try at this point! I had nausea from the week before I found out I was pregnant up until nearly 19 weeks, I’m 26 weeks on Tuesday so hopefully it doesn’t return for the next 14 weeks!

I think Addie has moved positions again as she’s not kicking me constantly like she usually does! She’s kicking me enough though so I’m not over worried she’s probably worn out from how active she was all day and night yesterday 😂

Went to the Tolkien Society Yulemoot, DS2 had sausages, chips and corn on the cob and vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce, DD had a BBQ pulled chicken, cheese and bacon panini and chips and chocolate fudge cake with ice cream, I had a Brie and bacon burger and chips, came back in an Uber, DS2 was in bed by 8, DD will go at 9.20. 😋🍟🍧🍗🍟🍰🍧🍔🍟😴

Mrs - I think it may well be migraine related my lovely, purely because my pregnancy nausea / actual sickness was constant, 24/7 7 days a week! This, while horrible, comes and goes in waves the same as the headache. Hopefully I’ll be waking up feeling good as new tomorrow

My grandad said to me earlier that I’m such a 50/50 mix of both my mum and dad, I don’t remember my mum really other than finding her passed away, but he says I look the double of her with so many similar mannerisms, especially my constant sarcasm and take no bullshit, confident, not phased by anything attitude (his words) but I also have my dads skin tone, and a lot of his mannerisms and his dark sense of humour it’s crazy to think of my mum as a stranger, but that’s how it feels in a way!

I am thinking l don't know where l come from tbh because l am not a bit like my Dsis or my Dbro. I was a very early reader and read everything l could get my hands on and l think l used to bury myself in books to escape.
I think it is great you have your Grandad there with you to tell you all about your heritage , he sounds a lovely man and he and your Dad have done a smashing job bringing you up, they must be very proud of you sweetie

Only 4 days until I finish. Woooo! Good job too as I'm totally knackered and still ill. I so need the break.

I just realised that I didn't actually sit down properly yesterday until after the kids were in bed, other than when eating breakfast and dinner. At least I only have the upstairs to deep clean now, and that'll be quicker than usual as the woodwork on the landing has just been painted so doesn't need cleaning!

Can't believe it's a week tomorrow. Quite bonkers really!
