mrsmad I hope it went well with your parents being watched by your ds today, you definitely need the break/a massive break really! Lovely bright day for a walk :) I've just seen your update, that is very tough for you and your parents to go through (I would say family but lets face it this doesn't seem to be having much impact on them) I hope that depression eases off for him soon, that must take such a toll on him and you. . I'm not really a hug person unless it's my kids but you really need a big hug. You're doing amazingly in some very tough conditions, keep your head and keep going.

I'm still exhausted today but that's pretty normal since I didn't sleep well at all! I woke up at 5 am because my eldest child was up and laughing and watching youtube. I took her ds and sent her to bed. I was not a happy mom

Mrs Hopefully I can get to sleep soon. It's 10:30 PM but I'm eating something and then going to watch some telly in bed and hopefully fall asleep.

It's about 3 AM for you all! I hope you all are asleep and toasty and snug in your bed. I have an appointment tomorrow with my new (hopeful) PCP. I'm going in with a list of questions for her including:

Do you have experience managing care for someone with complex medical needs? and

Will you treat my concerns seriously each time despite my anxiety and depression diagnosis?

My old GP I just fired did not do either of these things. I was very disappointed in the care she gave me.

Morning! A week today, people!

I'm going into work a touch early today in a bid to get through as much as possible before I finish. I did a load of stuff yesterday that got rid of a task from today as well as a task for when I'm off, so that's going to have helped a bit. It's always so busy getting ready for time off!

Wheelie, I hope your PCP is everything you need in an HCP.

Mrs, I hope your dad's transfusion helps.

No news but will update ltr re Dad's transfusion. Suffice to say the NHS was at it's best for us yesterday l am so grateful for the compassion showed us yesterday ❤️. Hope you are happy with your Dr today Wheelie ❤️

Weather here is really windy and wet but l don't mind it 😄 Up early to get Dad ready for the hospital , he is severely depressed love him and it breaks my heart to see him like this. I think his Consultant could see it too and was so kind bless her heart. I know Dad is really old and will die in the not too distant future but this misery is just excruciating to watch. You feel so helpless. Thank you all so much for your support and kindness , you are all amazing 💐👏👋.
One of my children l used to nurse is really poorly. I always go and visit her. l have known her and the family for 11years but l can't go because of Dad. I saw her 2 weeks ago when she was in and she was better but she ended up in Itu and is now going to Ty Hafan and may die . I know l am being selfish regarding my Dad , he has been well until the last 3 years and my little patient has not been well all her life. It is normal to feel like this l know. I have gone on so much , l will shut up now 😄.
Just counted the presents for the girls and need another one for DD1 so ordered exploring kittens lol 😃. Supposed to be good so we shall see. Have a great day everyone 😀

Yup all ticked! But I am on a 2 week holiday from the course, 2 weeks away from the boat, finish work on Friday, and I'm sure I can get the rest organized in the next few days. Once I come down off the ceiling that is - my chesty cough seems to have affected my head so I feel like I am floating up there. I really hate the days that happens. But I have a list for work, a plan for dinner tonight and the rest of my cards to write at lunchtime (last posting date not until Thursday, I've LOADS of time!!). Or else just give up and open the prosecco in the work fridge.....

Why do random strangers think it’s acceptable to come up to me and start touching my bump?! Do they have no personal boundaries or social etiquette?! Like damn, back off I’m not public property!

Acey Happy 26 weeks Almost in third trimester now! The carrycot looks very sweet. (So who is Paddy ??) I hope you gave them strong words, people are very weird around pregnant ladies!

Paddy is someone I’ve known since I was 4, we went to the same schools & uni and did a lot of sports and stuff together too! We also work together 😁 His family are worse than mine, so he spent most of his childhood at mine and he went NC with all his toxic family when he turned 18. He is my absolute rock and constant source of happiness and laughter! I certainly did give them hell, then the Postman said ‘oooo you’re ready to pop you’re huge’ and went to touch my stomach! I was like did I ask for your opinion?! NO! Did I ask for you to touch stomach?! Also a big fat NO. Grrr I’m seeing what you mean, people are strange aren’t they!

Biddy - good god woman you are like superwoman but so much better! I hope you get everything sorted, and failing that just crack open the Prosecco
I am minding the bump and keeping her nice and safe maverick is very spoilt with his tuna bless him!

Acey I'm 32 now, it feels like it's gone too quickly! (probably because I'm dreading giving birth .) It's lovely that you have each other. With rude people and pregnancy sometimes the best policy is just to face them down - I'm not pregnant, what do you mean I look ready to pop? , if they're going to act like an idiot you may as well treat like them one is my opinion. Yay for wrapping paper!

Evening all
Back from the Windsor suite in the hospital, Dad had 2 units of blood , he is fine, exhausted but fine, we were there from half 8 till half 2 , it was awful, there were so many terribly ill ppl there bless them all . Dad is seeing the Consultant on the 28th if all well so we shall see. Fingers crossed.
I have great news re the little girl l used to nurse, she pulled her tube out this morning and is breathing on her own, the HDU have sent her to Ty Hafan for 2 days then home if she is alright! Miracles do happen. l am otm for her and her Mum and me they can have a good Christmas now bless her

Just waiting for dd to spend more (of my!) money on way home from the dentist- all good there for both of us. Then I think I will be ignoring lists and (once I’ve hidden a few treats) cracking on with my contingency plans! 🤣
