Advent Calendars 2018 - delight or disappointment

Due to having a birthday not long before Advent starts I now have two calendars.
Yankee Candle - Day one - green tealight and holder - pine scented. I wouldnt usually buy a pine candle but it's quite pleasant.
Joe and Seph's popcorn - today was salted caramel, quite nice, not so exciting I'd buy a full size bag.

I’m loving the Clarins one, even though it’s only 12 days. Decent sized beauty flash balm today.

I have two on the go, Lumene and M&S. I'm really enjoying them both. The Lumene products are lovely, and happy with the M&S products so far.

Yesterday's Lumene was fab: Lumene's Moomin hand creme.

I'm still enjoying my Pukka teas. It's cinnamon tea today, I'll have it with a hot buttered crumpet later!

Day 9

Nivea - Another Original lip balm, but with a sparkly red lid...

Body Shop - Almond Milk & Honey hand cream, very happy with that!

Great synergy (who doesnt love management speak?) for Day 9 with white chocolate and strawberry popcorn and cookie scented candle smelling very similar.

A bit meh today

Rituals - another candle
Elle - an eye mask thing (can only be used once)
M&S - Ren night cream (happy with this)

Day 8: Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow (which I'm afraid makes me think of the Wonder Cream in the first Cazalet novel, but I hope will be nicer than that...)

Day 9: Fresh rose face mask. Not a brand I've come across before.

Day 10

Nivea - Nothing...I think it was supposed to be the other tree decoration

Body Stop - Pink grapefruit gel lotion, smells amazing.

@JustLurkingAway obviously a zen decoration ...

Today I am back to pine candle and double chocolate and caramel popcorn which tastes just like the other chocolate and caramel popcorn combos. I was expecting that by now I would have hit their more exciting flavours, I know they do a marmite one.

Not super impressed with Look Fantastic .. toothpaste yesterday .. wtf !!
Cleanser today .. nothing wow
My partner was lovely getting it for me .. but I think I like the look of DD Body Shop one that I got her more !!
To be honest .. yesterday I would've preferred a picture of a star or a bit of dairy milk !!

Day 11

For me day 11 was another cinnamon candle and yet more caramel popcorn, this time a traditional caramel. Which has a very familiar flavour profile ...

Yesterday's Pukka tea was apple, and today's is cinnamon cardamon & ginger. So far, I have enjoyed them all.

Felicity I know! I think the tea selection is more fun than your popcorn, though I do like the Joe & Seph brand.

The Pukka calendar has a little cheery motivational message for each day too. There is even a bit of string to hang it up with, so I am certainly being spoilt!!

I have had Joe and Seph before and sampled different flavours both sweet and savoury and am a tad disappointed at this rather bland selection.

I often make my own flavoured popcorn, just simple ones like paprika or celery salt, so it's nice to try J&S more exotic flavours. I especially like the goats cheese and black pepper, just right for an apero!

I have the Aldi wine calendar. I'm enjoying building up a collection of little bottles to choose from. Yesterday was a sparkling rose.

Day 12 - Halfway through already!

Well after my mid month disappointment things have picked up with a chocolate orange flavour popcorn; nice tang to it and quite chocolatey too!

I have the Debenhams one. I bought it for just £35 on Black Friday (half price)

I love the products, but the sizes are minuscule. I've been given larger samples for free at beauty counters.

I had the look Fantastic one last year and the products were full sized or at least half.

This one is very disappointing in comparison.
Also, today is day 12, and there have already been 3 primers (all tiny, of course)

I would be furious if I had paid £70 for it

Pinot noir today. Lovely.

My Pukka tea today is Tumeric, as well as turmeric root it also contains galangal root, licorice root, nettle leaf, burdock root and triphala fruit, I think there is probably some toe of newt and eye of bat in the mix too!

That tea sounds interesting, I assume you have to sit within a pentagram and salt circle to drink it . I really must try one of these turmeric drinks, I quite like it in curries but can't quite get my head round drinking it.
Salted caramel today so keeping up with the flavour two days in a row, though I'm not sure if there is a caramel combination left now.
