Advent Calendars 2018 - delight or disappointment

Due to having a birthday not long before Advent starts I now have two calendars.
Yankee Candle - Day one - green tealight and holder - pine scented. I wouldnt usually buy a pine candle but it's quite pleasant.
Joe and Seph's popcorn - today was salted caramel, quite nice, not so exciting I'd buy a full size bag.

Hotel Chocolat Grabd day two is...

A dark chocolate praline slicer

M&S - eye cream
Elle - Nails Inc nail varnish
Rituals - a candle

I have the naked marshmallow advent calendar. S'mores flavour yesterday - very good with a layer of chocolate in the marshmallow!
Candy Floss today - bit disappointing but still good.

We have the Haribo one. Tiny little packs (smaller than the 10p ones) but that takes away the 'guilt' of having Haribo for breakfast. The German names for the different sweets is amusing to. Technically this is my daughters calender and she is a meanie and won't share so I might get myself a choc one tomorrow.

I bought 2x Ikea ones (one for each of the children), they have chocolate in them and there’s a fun app with recipes, Swedish Christmas words and I don’t know what else.

Sorry, went looking and realised that the one we have isn’t available in the UK. I had thought all Ikea stuff was the same everywhere!

A wooden yo-yo today. Pretty cool!

I have a mixed brand beauty one that I bought from a German department store.

Day 1 was a lancome youth serum, have used it twice now and really like it.
Day 2 was a biotherm 'uplift' cream. Looks nice but did not use as would like to check the effects of the lancome before adding something else new in.

Very pleased so far.

DD has the purple Body Shop one (which I had to drive miles to get as it’d doldbout everywhere)

Day 1: Strawberry shower gel
Day 2: Coconut body milk

She’s delighted

DS has the £12 Lindt one

He’s had two balls so far and is happy

Glossybox - Nars gloss not my colour so given to greatful niece and nip and fab serum which i will try at some point
Owl body shop - strawberry shower gel which my dog had a lick of and coconut body milk, happy with both
Decleor - shower gel smells very fresh and bb cream in medium which is too dark for me

I made dds their own. So far they have had day 1: dobby lego mini fig for dd1 and a chewigem for dd2 day 2: fanta lip balm for dd1 and blueberry lipbalm for dd2. Both are delighted and I'm over the moon that they love them!

Day 3:

Body Shop - White musk body lotion, good size, smells nice.

Nivea - A bloody felt type tree decoration...wtf?!

@recently it's struck me I would have to go out of my way to find a picture advent calendar in the shops. There are some lovely ones on Amazon though, so next year ...
I'm also loving some of the other themes especially the mini jams.

So today was a Winter Glow tealight and caramel and white chocolate popcorn, havent tasted it, frankly it's too ealry for white chocolate!

I have a fab Gin Advent from Sainsburys, much cheaper than lots of them and each day contains a 50cl miniature.

I bought my nearly teen son a snaffling pig advent - he's loving it!!

DD has an Avon Jewellery one, which for the price is also great.

Hello, I have the Cath Kidson advent calendar, saturday was a original 10ml lip balm, Sunday was white clover and matcha tea hand cream (30ml) and today was llama (?!) hand cream (30ml). I really like it so far and the actual calendar is lovely.

Body Shop - Nail File...meh

Nivea - Red lip balm and a small mirror that may or may not have fallen out of another door

Day 4 for me is christmas tree scented tealight again and toffe apple and cinnamon popcorn which will be a change from caramel.

I have Bayleys calendar. So far it has been the same chocolate with bayleys filling every day.

Especially for @ButteryParsnips Today is 2 people reading books in a library - who could have predicted that? I love it much more than the kids tbh

@BusterTheBulldog Ugh, I’m so jealous! Tried to get one but they were sold-out. Did manage to get a Cilla badge though. That’ll adorn DH’s stocking on Christmas morning.
