We got our tree and decorations up today :) I've got a few baubles to arrive ( I went for the silk ones if anyone remembers though as a hark back to my childhood.)

I just told paddy that the absolute idiots in my family are saying he’s my baby daddy, despite me being in the UK at the time. His response was fantastic, after composing himself from laughing so hard he said ‘aye i must have some super sperm for it to travel that far’ 😂 ah I love my paddy

Morning! I slept through my Fitbit alarm today. Good job I have a phone alarm set 5 minutes' later! I must've been tired.

Only 3 days in work this week as I'm off on Weds for DD's school concert. DS' is on Friday so I'm off anyway.

The children are so tired from school and the Christmas excitement is ramping up. Which means their behaviour isn't great right now. Testing times!

Just having coffee before heading to work. We close on the 17th and don’t open again until 3rd January, so just over 2 weeks off with full pay over Christmas, yay

Mrs - my bath was glorious thank you my dear Addie sure had fun aye maverick certainly is a wee character, that’s for sure have a grand time at goldcliff my lovely

Wheelie - the Chanukah stuff looks grand :) aye wait until Lilah starts doing it to you, it’s terrifying but so funny

17 is a bit keen for closing, Acey! We close on the Friday, so I finish on the Thursday, then re-open on 2 Jan.

I'm doing a wreath-making course this Sat, at Hobbycraft. Fingers crossed I make one which is half decent! 😂

I'll hopefully finish the beading on the cross stitch tonight, then the stars tomorrow night. Then it's probably 2 nights to finish the stars on my first one. They will hopefully be done and framed by the end of the week. Exciting!

On Sunday we're off to Speke Hall for their Christmas event.

Firefly, how was your Santa train this weekend? Ours is on 15 Dec.

It's coming round so quickly and I still have so much to do! I don't have any stamps and haven't written any cards. I've no idea when I'm going to wrap the presents and I've run out of shampoo and conditioner

I wouldn't recommend Goldcliff this morning Mrs it is chucking it down over here!

Dh got soaked in Dublin going for his plane, while it’s sunny spells here now. And he’s currently getting soaked in Birmingham.

No sailing yesterday, too windy. So I spent the day in the kitchen- large batch of curry (today’s dinner and freezer), stuffed mushrooms and tomatoes (last night dinner), my lunch for 2 days, breakfast smoothie for the week and 2 cakes (coffe for work to mark return from broken wrist if 1 lady and Victoria sponge for home - due to a revolt at home, it’s the sponge going to work after all ).

Cast off scarf 11. Scarf 12 making very good progress, about a third dome in the week . Scarf 13 is slow though so I may need to prioritize. And then I get at least one joyous night sewing in all the ends!

Def Leopard were very good Saturday night though! Dh enjoyed it a lot too! All the old favorites.

My DC's school concert's the 18th. 😆

We got soaked yesterday but we didn't care. All the people saying it's miserable in the rain, the food's awful etc, are just misery guts. We had a lovely time, the food was much better than you'd get a fair, but shockingly overpriced, £30 for 2 cheeseburgers, a hot dog and 3 bottles of soft drink, then £4 each for tiny hot chocolates with whipped cream and Flakes. It's going to be an annual tradition now though, so at least I can save up! 😂

It's supposed to rain between 11-12 here today.

Have ordered a Preston Playz hoodie for DS2, bought him a Stretch Monster and DD Pokemon Ultra Moon for the 3DS she'll be getting, just have to buy DD's GTLive hoodie, a tin of dog biscuits for my aunt's dogs, Father Christmas presents and Nectar presents. I'm winning!

Had a cheese and tomato omelette, a banana and a coffee today. 😋🍌☕

We only formally close on the actual public/bank holidays (I mix up the 2) - the service officers kick everyone out on Christmas Eve by about 12.30 to shut the doors, so a half day, but reopens on 27th. But I am using leave and will finish on 21st, and not appear back again until 7th (unless I get so bored or frustrated at home that I need an outlet. or an emergency happens that I need to go in - neither of which I expect to come true).

PB I'm glad you enjoyed the Winter Wonderland even in the rain - was it truly as Magical as the ads make it seem? It sounds like a lovely tradition to start with DD.

Everyone seems to be flying along with the plans. And the time seems to be getting really really short so fast!!

Got a drs appointment at 4.05, so I’m going to Starbucks beforehand, and I will drink it before someone tries to take it off me this time

It really was Biddy! We came in the wrong entrance so had to find Santa's Grotto, DD was horrified at the hour-long queue so went ice skating 😂, after Father Christmas DS2 and I bought tokens for the rides, he went on the Yeti Ride twice, then we met up with DD, bought lunch and took it to the Bavarian Village because benches, then got an Uber home. I'd have loved to be able to afford a gluhwein, the smell was very enticing! The atmosphere's very Christmassy, probably more so when the weather cooperates!

That's it Biddy, I bought 2 extra presents today because I could, and because I don't really want to be present shopping on Christmas Eve, both because of crowds and because they might have sold out of what the DC want!

Mrs DD's teacher has to top what yr6 did in the concert last year! The stage was completely dark then all these fairy lights came on around the DC's necks. I might have shed a little tear.
