Here we go again. I think the last thread was the quickest ever, so this one probably won't even get to Halloween, but we shall see!

Picked DS2 up, had chicken jalfrezi for supper, DS2 will go to bed at 7. 😋🍛😴

NoWordForFluffy · 02/10/2018 18:15

Train chaos for me tonight. Some poor soul decided to end it by way of train earlier, so it's not great, transport-wise. Worse for them though.

Sounds like a good day, Mrs. 😁🎅

I always have the free M&S wine, not chocolates! #alky 😂

Hello all Xmas Grin

I'm deciding on a day to do Christmas Shopping in peace without the DC (well DD, my son won't set foot in a shop unless I cattle prod him )

I keep looking and thinking "Oh , I'll buy that online" but I never do.

I do like to browse M&S online and deliver to store (means I don't have to search for things and I don't have to wait for delivery. )

Had a look at the M&S food, I have the Sainsbury brochure , just going to look at Waitrose ....

TheWoollybacksWife · 02/10/2018 19:46

Hello all. I've dropped off a bit due to outside stuff but I'm still following. DM is doing well - we had a lovely night out with her at the weekend and are hoping to arrange another before Christmas.

I bought some baubles for my Hall tree today. I'm very impressed with them - they will fit in nicely with my colour scheme.

Thanks to another thread at the weekend I've preordered a Fortnite Funko toy for DS. Completely useless for anything other than an ornament but it might give him a giggle or frighten the bejasus out of him

MrsMad free cake? How do I get some? I feel the same way about the high street but I do like one street (can't remember what it's called) starts at Cath Kidston and has the Radley shop etc on it. Also like the little arcades).

orderofthenix Welcome Xmas Smile You're not too late at all, new posters are welcome anytime.

Fur I remember you posting a little about your last Christmas at the time. Fingers crossed this one is calm(ish) and well for you.

Oh Fluffy what an awful thing to do. I know the person generally feels so hopeless and it's awful but I always feel for the train drivers Sad

Hello Woolly & 70

I forgot to mention, when I went out for a meal on Sunday evening, I had 'Christmas pie' off the specials board. Turkey, sausage meet stuffing, cranberry's and gravy in a pie with mash and veg, it was lovely.

I hope everyone gets their food delivery issues sorted. We don't bother with deliveries as I like to have a mooch about and pick things at random. I'm thinking I should probably give it a go though.

Looking forward to this weekend. Sounds a bit mean but DH is away Saturday am until Sunday pm and I plan to spend Sunday pottering around Sainsbury's Christmas stuff before lighting a festive candle, maybe watching a Christmas film and working on my blankets. Just need to get through the rest of the week in work first

PhilomenaButterfly · 02/10/2018 20:13

Woolly DD wants to know which Fortnite character?

PhilomenaButterfly · 02/10/2018 20:18

Christmas pie already! Where are these places that already have Christmas dishes? I may have to move. I'll just sit lie in bed and eat my parmesan and garlic twists.

TheWoollybacksWife · 02/10/2018 20:27

It's the Merry Marauder PSB

PhilomenaButterfly · 02/10/2018 20:57

Thanks Woolly. 😁

Mrsmadevans · 02/10/2018 21:12

Fur l remember your terrible Christmas last year Flowers
70 there is some lovely stuff on M& S imho
Crazy , love the street you mean , it's got a lovely feel about it there, sort of a buzz of excitment about it . John Lewis cardholders get a free cakey & coffee 2/3 times a year . Fluffy had hers last week , l had mine today mwahahahahaha Xmas Grin
Welcome Orderofthenix Smile
Talking of terrible Christmasses does anyone remember Muddlingthroughlife, she lost her darling son around Christmas time last year and she used to come on here , l often think of her and how she is bless her heart. Such a terrible time for her.l am not going to dwell on it just that the tragedy during Fluffys journey reminds us how fragile life is sometimes Sad

Morning! Drinking coffee and waiting for Carol the Weather to come on. Brew

PhilomenaButterfly · 03/10/2018 05:57

I don't think I "met" Muddlingthroughlife. How sad. I hope she's okay. 😢

NoWordForFluffy · 03/10/2018 06:02

Morning!

I'm eating my breakfast before heading out at 6.30.

I do hope Muddling is coping. I was really sad when I found out about her son, as it all came out of the blue after being told he was doing well. I hope she's able to come back to join us at some point when it's less new and raw for her.

It's my Thursday today. Woooo! (And Wreck's!)

I'm finally at the joint clinic this week for my shoulder. Hurrah. I wonder what they'll recommend? I can't move it enough for physio I don't think, so we shall see!

Acey, really not too long until you move now. Yay!

Morning all, I was on some of the earlier threads then got lost. I've got all my Christmas events booked which I'm happy about so now I need to start planning presents and food. Tempted by m&s but not sure if I really need to go over the top when we're a family of 3. We do like to have people over though. Something to think about

PhilomenaButterfly · 03/10/2018 06:23

We'd love to have my mum and DS1 over for Christmas day, but they'd need taxis as none of us have a car, and we've got nowhere to put them up. Also DH would need to plan dinner for much, much earlier, as DS1 gets tired. My mum needs to leave food or ready meals for him if she goes out now, as standing in the kitchen and cooking's just too much for him. CF's a bastard (sorry for language).

WreckTangled · 03/10/2018 07:27

Yes to it being our Friday fluffy!

Have a team meeting this afternoon think we will be discussing the Christmas do. It's hard because our team covers 300 square miles and is split over two bases so it's a little bit us and them (not in a bad way but we all live near our bases so aren't close to each other etc).

Mrsmadevans · 03/10/2018 08:58

Morning all Smile
Taking Mum to the Hairdressers , Dad to the Gp for his dressing to his hand. Then my Friend calling this afternoon for a cuppa . Some of her family are emigrating to Australia today and she is very upset about it bless her Sad . I will have to cheer her up. Think l will get her some flowers .
PSB l agree with you CF is an awful disease, even with all the treatments available Flowers
Lally l remember you m'dear , you have done so well re your events planning , l have not done a lot except booking Elf & the Panto .
Fluffy ....yes to Muddling being able to come back to here when she is feeling up to it.
Am Glad you are going to see about your shoulder today Good Luck!
Right better shift
Have a great day everyone! Xmas Grin

AceyMac13 · 03/10/2018 09:43

Morning! Grin
I hope they manage to come up with a plan so you get some relief from your shoulder fluffy :)

9 days until I move home, I’m so excited Grin

Feeling so festive today, might do a spot of shopping in a little while and get some more Christmas presents bought 😁

PhilomenaButterfly · 03/10/2018 09:59

Just had toasted banana bread and a banana. 😋🍌🍞🍌

BiddyPop · 03/10/2018 10:06

I can't keep up this week.. manic week at work and DH is away. Protests on the street outside that I have to get through later (I'm used to it but today's looks bigger than usual). Boss disappeared just when I need someone to take some responsibility (oh well - my next interview will be so much better cos I know what HIS job is!!). Knitting going dreadfully slowly and I still have a bunch of scarves to do (I think I have 8 finished except to sew in ends, 3 on needles but another 2 at least to start - how many weeks are left?! I may buy other wool for those and do very chunky ones for speed!).

Hope you are all doing well....hopefully I can catch up over the weekend.

Seafoodeatit · 03/10/2018 12:30

Fluffy Oh no, how sad :( I always hated that part of train commuting. I always have the chocolate as it seems like I'm always pregnant! I hope it goes well at the joint clinic :)
70 Hello to a fellow chronic window shopper, the amount of online baskets I have is just silly.

mrsmad lovely of you to cheer your friend up, I'm sure she'll really appreciate something thinking of her.

biddy your knitting doesn't sound like it's going too slowly. Big chunky wool is the way forwards, I love those massive knitting needles, always look like they'd be good for self defense too Grin.

PhilomenaButterfly · 03/10/2018 15:56

Met my mum in the Sainsbury's café, she had beef bourguignon pie, mash, peas and gravy and a Magnum Classic, I had slow cooked butter chicken with rice and naan bread, the DC are at Adventure. 😋🍛

RhubarbCrumbled · 03/10/2018 16:02

I'm ready to stop lurking and embrace Christmas! Christmas shopping officially started on Saturday and I'm looking at DIY decorations. We're all quite hyped about Halloween just now and going away for October half term but then it's all go for Christmas! I'm pulling out all the stops this year as it's the last one DS1 will be at home on Christmas morning with his chorister duties.

@BiddyPop, I'm just casting on a Weasly jumper for DS1 and hoping to get it done quickly. Although I expect I'll be sewing up on Christmas Eve again.
