Here we go again. I think the last thread was the quickest ever, so this one probably won't even get to Halloween, but we shall see!

Picked DS2 up, the DC had chicken chow mein for supper, I'm not hungry, DS2 fell asleep in our bed at 7.20, DD went to bed at 9.20, I'm in bed now. 😋🍗🍜😴

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 03/10/2018 21:57

I am on Day 3 of not having sweets/biscuits/cake.

It isn't pretty Xmas Hmm

It gets easier (I did this last October, it was do-able once I'd got past the first week)

Roll on Hallowe'en I say , I'll sample the ToT sweets on the 31st , just to make sure they're ok !

NoWordForFluffy · 03/10/2018 22:09

I've spent the evening doing my cross stitch. I should have the tree all finished by the end of the week. Then it's on to all of the coloured fiddly bits! I think I'll dig out my pack of needles so I can have them loaded with different colours, save swapping all the time!

Hi, Rhubarb, welcome!

I'm up far, far too early again. 😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴

Redgreencoverplant · 04/10/2018 05:50

Hello rhubarb :)

NoWordForFluffy · 04/10/2018 06:04

Morning!

Are we all OK?

Seafood, you made me laugh when you said you were permanently pregnant. I've only got two but was pregnant for two Christmases running. That was bad enough!

It's my Friday today. Woooo. I'm starting the 'get ahead on my task list as I've got a week off soon' project today! No doubt something will scupper me, but it's the plan I have. Grin

Morning! Not 2 Christmases running for me with my first 2, Fluffy, DD1 was born in November, but I had no periods for 3 years, because I was either pregnant or breastfeeding!

Drinking Christmas coffee (thanks Acey) and watching Carol the Weather. Brew

AceyMac13 · 04/10/2018 06:36

Philomena - did you get the coffee? I hope you like it Grin

Been up since 4am, just want to sleep until next Friday when I finally move home 😁

About to try my first hot cup of coffee since before I fell pregnant; please let my coffee love be back 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 04/10/2018 06:47

Acey, I slept like shit when pregnant. From conception right through! All of this get sleep before baby comes nonsense people spout too. No chance here!

Are you managing to get packed up?

Seafoodeatit · 04/10/2018 06:53

rhubarb welcome :)

70 no cake! I'm twitching just reading that, I'm impressed at your self control.

Acey waking up so early is crap, I hope the coffee works it's magic on you.

Fluffy show us a picture of your tree, I love looking at cross stitch. You're up pretty early this morning too?

I'm awake because the eldest threw up in bed this morning and the youngest woke up from the noise of it all so I'm watching cbeebies now.

With a 12 month age gap and now what will be a 19 month gap or so it does feel like I'm always pregnant, this is the last time though.

Seafoodeatit · 04/10/2018 06:54

Philomena no periods sounds bliss! Why are you up so early today?

NoWordForFluffy · 04/10/2018 07:08

I've asked DH to take a photo of the cross stitch as I'm on the train. Which is why I get up so early, as I'm out the door at 6.30 at the latest to get the train!

I've got a 13 month gap, but we didn't want a third. We couldn't afford for me to be off work again, and after two c-sections (one hideous EMCS where DD needed resuscitating and SCBU and one lovely ELCS) and the fact I'd need a third, I just wasn't up for it! I couldn't face a newborn again either, especially now our two are both at school and gaining independence.

I hope your eldest perks up. Do they seem ill or was it a random 🤮?

Tree! It's definitely a work in progress, but getting there slowly!

Morning all Smile
Acey won't be long m'dear soon be back home Smile
Fluffy , l love that cross stitch of yours, just up my street Smile
l also could not have another child after the EMCS after 20 hrs of labour and all the manhandling and terror that involves. I think we both nearly died and l am not exaggerating. I had PTSD after and had to have Anti d's and counselling, could not work for 3 yrs after. Horrendous.......
Sea , hope your DC is much better now m'dear Flowers
PSB Christmas coffee sounds delish! I don't like what Carol the weather has on this morning it is the belt l think ....bit common Xmas Grin
Well done 70 , l need to take a page out of your book ...permanently Grin
Right l had better shift my expanding behind , going to Goldcliff today for a lovely walk can't wait .
Have a great day everyone Smile

NerosFiddle · 04/10/2018 09:14

Fluffy I'm the same. My 2 are 13 months apart too, but a lot younger. Ds will be 2 on Halloween and Dd will be 1 the week before Christmas.

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/10/2018 10:43

Because once I wake up I can't get back to sleep Seafood. 😭 My gentle wakeup app doesn't even start until 5.30, I don't need it! I try to get to bed before DD to compensate, I have to have the light on because she's in our room for WiFi, but at least I can get some rest.

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/10/2018 10:46

The tree's so lovely Fluffy! 💛

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/10/2018 10:49

Mrs bit common 😂

The Christmas coffee is delish, thanks to Acey for telling me about it! 😋Brew[santa]

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/10/2018 10:53

My eldest 2 are 14 months apart, then 16 years, then 4 years.

DS 28

DD 26

DD 11

DS 7

I had the added fun of having a seriously ill DS1 before having DD1. Why did I ever think that was a good idea? Confused

April2020mom · 04/10/2018 11:31

Good morning everyone!
@aceymac13- I suddenly was roused from my sleep the other night thinking I was 62 not 22 for some unknown perplexing reason. Essentially I have wasted my entire life. Thankfully it was only a dream however. I’m loving seeing my family growing up with me. Congratulations on your pregnancy!! How far are you currently? When will LO come? Any names picked out for baby or not? Is it a boy or girl or do you prefer not knowing? We’re hoping for another one Jan 2020 as well.

Seafoodeatit · 04/10/2018 11:40

Mrsmad I don't blame you for not wanting to go through that again it sounds very traumatic Flowers Goldcliff looks lovely, enjoy your walk. :)

Fluffy I'm glad it all turned out okay in the end, her needing resuscitation must have been very frightening, ds1 had to be taken to scbu for monitoring when he was born and that was upsetting enough. I know what you mean, once you're past the baby/toddler stage it's hard to go through it again, if I hadn't fallen pregnant now when I had we would not have been having more. Your tree is fantastic!

Philomena do you wake up roughly at the same time? I wonder if something similar to whats suggested for babies would work - getting up a bit earlier before you normally would and going back to sleep, sounds a bit crazy though and might just have you up even earlier! One to try on a weekend that's for sure.

NerosFiddle yours are even younger than mine!

Thanks everyone Flowers He just woke up at 6 and came into our room saying he'd been sick in bed. He was sick again immediately after trying to eat breakfast but nothing since, I'm waiting to see if he asks for any food later.

Christmas coffee sounds really nice, might have to pick some up for DH.

We have DS1 7 - turning 8 in a few weeks

DD1 27 months old

DS 2 15 months old

DC4 due in early Feb

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/10/2018 12:31

Seafood right, I'll set my gentle wakeup app for 3.30 and see if that works. 😆

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/10/2018 12:38

Your poor boy Seafood, I hope he feels better soon. Our GP told me to give them whatever they want to eat if they've been sick, because your body usually knows what it can handle.

Heavystream · 04/10/2018 12:38

Afternoon all! Sorry I haven’t been able to keep up with everyone. Everything’s a bit hectic here with moving and my anxiety has flared up a bit due to all the stress. Hope you’re all doing well!.
