Here we go again. I think the last thread was the quickest ever, so this one probably won't even get to Halloween, but we shall see!

Evening all.

Very excited that it's now just 2 months!

I'm impressed with your decorating, Fluffy. We've been here 5 years and haven't really done much by way of decorating. We really should...

Took DS and DNephew to the local farm today where they are doing pick your own pumpkins. Think DSis and I enjoyed it more, but we got some cute pics (especially as the boys were both dressed in Wookie outfits GrinGrin)

Mrsmadevans · 25/10/2018 20:46

Evening all Smile
We had a lovely day in Tenby. Walked our socks off lol. Weather held off for us thankfully and it was not too cold. Took a flask of coffee and sat in the car overlooking Wisemans bridge and the beach. It was so peaceful , just what we needed Smile Saw my first Christmas tree it was in a hotel on the South beach, they must be doing tinsel & Turkey stays , put pic of old lifeboat station which was on Grand designs. They spent a fortune on it but we have never seen anyone there ! I don't know if anyone remembers it ?

Firefly so cute!

Mrs he can walk fine he only mentioned it a few times, very strange.

Thanks everyone last lot of medicine was just after 6:30 and his temp is almost 40 again. Poor baby. Have given nurofen this time hopefully that'll help.

Mrsmadevans · 25/10/2018 22:13

Ahhh Wreck l did wonder because my DD had something called septic arthritis in her hip, she couldn't weight bear or anything though because of the terrible pain but after a course of Antib's she was fine .
I so hope he is better by tomorrow my dear Flowers

WreckTangled · 25/10/2018 22:15

I know they can get viruses that go to their hip too so worth keeping an eye on anyway. Thanks I hope so too! He's such a trooper though you wouldn't know he's poorly really 😊

Mrsmadevans · 25/10/2018 22:23

I am sure he will be better very soon m' dear Wreck , he sounds an utter sweetheart Bless him , am keeping my fingers crossed he is better by the morning love him Flowers

NoWordForFluffy · 25/10/2018 22:57

Firefly, such a cute picture!

Mrs, I'm glad you enjoyed your day off. 😁

Wreck, maybe take him to the GP if he's no better tomorrow. Just to make sure he's OK.

I'm going to Sainsbury's tomorrow so will look for the plate. I'm not holding out much hope as it's a teeny shop! But I'll look anyway.

Penultimate Rudolph Day Xmas Grin

Planning to take DD to London to buy some bits for her Advent and a wander round (hopefully she'll let me look in John Lewis and M&S without too much whinging)
If you see a beautiful tall slim young lady and a down trodden middle aged old bat on Oxford Street it will be us, she'll be pulling me out of John Lewis kitchenwear by my reins .

Sixty Days Peeps Xmas Grin

I'm watching QVC but it's not a TSV that interests me so I'm off to bed .

WreckTangled · 26/10/2018 03:33

Sounds fun 70!

I have to go food shopping (joyful). I've been up again with ds. He's asleep now. Temp up again and he was a bit delusional convinced he had had an accident (he hadn't) then convinced it was on the floor (it was a hairband). I need to see if the fever is reducing with the medicine otherwise he will need to see the dr.

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 26/10/2018 05:25

Morning! DS2's playing Hello Neighbour. 😆

FireflyGirl · 26/10/2018 07:25

I missed your DS was poorly Wreck, sorry.

How's he doing this morning? Has the medicine helped?

Can you do an online shop instead this week?

WreckTangled · 26/10/2018 07:35

No we need food today we have nothing and are on a strict budget so Aldi only 😁 he's absolutely fine in himself you wouldn't know he was ill just the sky high temperature. I might call the gp later as our system is that you phone in and a GP calls you back so then they can decide if he needs seeing.

NoWordForFluffy · 26/10/2018 08:18

Morning!

I'd definitely call, Wreck.

We have the dentist for DH and the DC today, but I've loads of things to do before then. I'm off into town shortly to get a pill prescription and collect DD's Christmas wrapping paper from Next. I need to go to Sainsbury's to get the bits Aldi didn't have the other day (one is frozen sweetcorn. Weird to not stock it!).

Then I need to come back via the village (I'll cheat and get the train) so I can collect a prescription and my coat from the dry cleaner which I didn't have time to do before now!

This afternoon will be spent at home as the DC are both coughing and not well. I have to put a washing mountain away as well!

We just had a massive hail storm! Thankfully it's stopped now.

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 26/10/2018 09:14

There's definitely a lot of illness on this thread! Flowers to all the sick DC.

BiddyPop · 26/10/2018 11:04

Thanks PB - that may be worth me making a trip to Newry/Lisburn soon.....

Mrs I remember that lifeboat station and how fab they made it in the end, there was lots of varnished wood paneling wasn't there?! It's on my list of "if we ever manage to build" ideas (I also love one in Scotland on old lime kilns, another few built into the ground, and the one in the woods made totally of wood that was extended again a few years later when the woodsman got a wife and child).

Sorry to hear there are so many under the weather, I hope DC's coughs improves and they feel better soon Fluffy and the temp comes down Wreck.

Firefly your Wookies are so cute!

I can see your DD leading you around 70s, are you just the reindeer/Sherpa to carry things and proffer a card on occasion for payment purposes?! I hope you got a few minutes in JL.

DD had a great time in the show last night - she was definitely nervous and looked so uncomfortable every time she came out, but then relaxed a bit as each number went on (there were 2 ensemble numbers, and then the 1st year group). But as there were only 13 1st years took part (of 33), I was really impressed that she had volunteered, and stuck with it (a good few pulled out over the past few weeks). Finally got her to bed at 11pm! (With a demand that we go to the large shopping centre this afternoon to look for a top for tonight's disco! I think the teenage years are arriving!).

It's bright and fine here today, but with a bitter wind...I need to find hats and gloves over the weekend....

NoWordForFluffy · 26/10/2018 19:03

It was a mixed bag here today. I got hailed on in town but then it brightened up nicely! It's been really quite cold though.

Wreck, did you speak to the GP? How's DS now?

Our two are still coughing well and are both snotty. It's delightful!

I made a new curry tonight as we have a new cookbook. I made rice and peas and bus up shut to go with it and am now stuffed!
