Firefly I like your thinking On the plus side generally animal fences are not too high in voltage, DH when he was in primary went on a school trip to a farm, the farmer said it was an electric fence and any brave kids should try it, DH put his hand on it and said it doesn't work - farmer said put both hands on so he did and apparently his hair stood on end! cue lots of kids touching the wire. This was almost years ago, don't think he would get away with it now!

Thank you for the good wishes for Shaky , he is doing really well and l would say is back to near normal
My poor DD2 has been up all night in agony with an infected, impacted wisdom tooth , she is on the list to have it done , went to emergency dentist appt this afternoon and she has been given a weeks course of Amoxicillin. She has slept since we come home and is feeling like she has been dragged through a hedge backwards and she looks dreadful love her. Hopefully she will be fine very soon , l am sure she will once the AB's do their job.
Psb l don't know how you can function on the sleep you get m'dear we had chicken with sweet chilli sauce (lloyd Grossman jar) done in the slo cooker with some wholegrain rice and it was very nice , l was shocked lol . Hope DS2 enjoyed the Basketball too

Firefly we put ours up the middle of Nov last year and l think it was too early too. Am putting ours up the 1st or the 8th Dec this year . Thank you for the heads up on the GH offer too

PSB how do you cope with the tree only going up on 24th! Me and DH start bickering about it mid November and I put it all up as near to the first weekend in December as I can (DH wants 12 days before & after but I like to take it down on NYE).

I had a 2 day migraine that culminated in me lying in my bed from 3pm yesterday until 7am today and didn't fully recover until lunchtime when my appetite hit me like a tonne of bricks and I ate biscuits
And to top that off, there were swarms of ladybirds in town this morning and I hate them (I flapped like a possessed person and had to walk away as fast as I could ) so all in all, it's been a rubbish few days! Onwards and upwards though - I am online Christmas shopping again this evening

We've got swarms if ladybirds outside our house. One fell on my head when I drew the curtains 😭😭😭😭 I hate them! There's currently one that keeps flying into the light

Crazy it's just one of those things. It takes up the whole wall side of the table when it's up. It makes meals very cramped. We don't take it down until sometime after the 6th though.

DD's on her tablet in bed, she may have the start of flu, so she doesn't have to get up in the morning. She's nauseous and she's got a bad headache. 😭

I've just hung the washing out. Lovely drying day tomorrow! I like it because I can get 2 lots of uniform, 2 lots of pyjamas, a PE kit, a swimming kit and Bear out there at once, which I can't on radiators. 😆

I feel like we should wash something to hang out tomorrow, but we aren't due to do another wash until Thursday as it's bed-changing day for the DC then. We have got two loads dried this week though. We have a fair amount of line, so can get 2 x 11kg loads out to dry at once.

MrsMad you're more than welcome to the ladybirds - they're a fear, verging on a phobia, of mine I called my DM to tell her and she helpfully advised me to avoid Pontypool park as there have been loads swarming there apparently.
My reaction to them is embarrassing, I run if possible then spend ages imagining I can feel them on me and patting down my clothes and hair. If I can't run I flap around a lot and try not to cry

Fluffy yes, migraines are awful and they are happening more often the older I'm getting (isn't it meant to go the other way?)

Morning! We manage Mrs! Pressies stay in our room apart from stocking pressies, cards go on a ribbon in the hallway, we have decs dotted all over the place, and last year DD bought decs and did their room too! I buy a new dec every year.

Morning! I've just got on the train. I left early as I'm changing banks and needed to change my new card's PIN at the cash point opposite the station. Then the bloody train was a bit late. I've been waiting for a fair while!

Thank god it's Wednesday today. I'm looking forward to the weekend! I should hear about the job today apparently. I'm nervous as I really want it. And there's only 1 job too, as people don't often leave. Most places I interview at need people quite often, and don't have as many people to interview, so this is a weird feeling. Same as the last place really!

The X stitch tree is looking fab!

I’m just keeping moving in a forward trajectory. Got back from a 2 day conference in Vienna late yesterday, and have decided to cancel my overnight trip at the weekend - i wouldn’t have had time to do much anyway and would be utterly wrecked for party next weekend.

I started the 2nd last scarf on the plane to Vienna though - and got about 1/3 done already! I need that and another on needles finished first though for international postage. And I may have a chance to avoid another international postage if I get 1 bag of things wrapped this weekend - but that’s a big “if”!

I didn’t get much time to shop in Vienna but found a lovely book and craft shop in the train station (so very expensive!) and it had some nice things out already - I got a couple of pairs of Christmas socks for 2 new babies, and a St Nicholas slipper tree decoration and some Prickkland chic figures to put in it for dd on 6th Dec, and then slipper can go on the tree.

Ahhh Crazy it must be terrifying my dear , l am terribly afraid of heights , to the extent where l won't go in lifts with glass floors . I think they will be gone very soon so don't worry it's probably their time for hibernating if they do hibernate. Hope you are much better too

Phew my cat and kitten have made it back to Ireland safely 😁 love my fur babies and may have cried when I got the picture of them snuggled up at home 😂
