So what is becoming harder to get? The only thing I have had a bit more trouble finding is the rainbocorn. Do you think this will be a sell out?

ToastyFingers · 04/10/2018 11:45

The LOL under wraps dolls are proving difficult at the moment, I got both dds and niece one for their stockings but ittooksome serious detective work to find somewhere that had them in stock.

Christmascookiesmmmm · 04/10/2018 11:55

I also found LOL under wraps very difficult to get!!

nickdrakeslovechild · 04/10/2018 13:33

Amazon have the LOL under wraps, due in stock 6th Oct but can be bought now.

PinglePongle · 04/10/2018 13:45

Lol under wraps was £10.89 at Amazon yesterday too!

ToastyFingers · 04/10/2018 14:29

I know! it's been discounted on and off but only ever for an hour at a time and I kept missing it.
I messaged Amazon and they gave me the £4 difference as a goodwill gesture though.

nuttynutjob · 04/10/2018 14:33

According to Smyth's website there will be more rainbocorns in November/December

BlueOooChristmas · 04/10/2018 15:10

We're lucky that we never struggle at Christmas. Our DD's birthdays are the end of October and start of November so we generally have a hit list of must have toys for Birthdays and Christmas sorted by the start of October.

We've already picked up Rainbocorns, Pomsies and LOL Under Wraps. I was trying to dodge Poopie (because ugh) but I think that's the dark horse this year! My eldest has already mentioned it several times and the kids in her class are talking about it too. The only thing worse than having to buy Poopsie, is having to buy Poopsie at an even higher inflated price. So I think I might just bite the bullet.

Well I’m feeling on fire this year, super organised. Last year dd really wanted a fingerling and a hatchmal, bot fairly last minute and I couldn’t get hold of either for love nor money.
This year I’ve been hasty and ordered the lol house as soon as pre orders opened in the summer hols(madness!) so hoping she will go crazy for it as it will be her only present bar her stocking! It arrived a couple of weeks ago so I’m glad I pre ordered early as I think some parents will have a nail biting wait to see if it arrives before Xmas.

She has been going on for over a month about the stupid poopsie unicorn and I categorically said no I’m not getting it, not a lie as she’s having the house, but my mum has 8 grand kids so we used the Argos 3 for 2 to strategically buy, so her and another similar age gchild are having a poopsie and the younger girl a baby Annabelle, much more palatable at £33 each rather than £50! I may be wrong but I think by Nov it will be hard to get hold of.

Girls are so easy to buy for, now it’s just teenage ds’S to worry about, much harder!

snowmanshoes · 05/10/2018 13:56

And now there are the new hatchibabies which my dd has been waiting for 5th October to see what they look like. I kow she'll fall in love hen she sees them but with a Jan birthday she doesn't have to wait too long if it has to be put away until then.
I've also managed to grab a lol under wraps, rainbocorn and luna pomsie so feeling much more smug than I was last year! I've had some epic fails over the years so fingers crossed for a bit more success with this one.

homebirds · 18/10/2018 18:47

My daughter (8) just seems to want everything so what do people think are the must haves?

Ds 6 has the hp lego quidditch set. It is a ornament as really flimsy compared to most lego we have had

Tringingle · 18/10/2018 20:47

Got the lol bigger surprise for dd she's 6 and a few more bits, might get her a Polly pocket too an my ds who's 4 wants a robot and a telescope, got him a few transformers too

choli · 18/10/2018 20:56

I am sure that the "hard to getness" is deliberately engineered to get the lemmings to buy this (generally pretty crap) toys. Rather like the Beanie Baby craze, where shops were paid to put handmade "We are out of Beanie Babies" signs in the window to whip up the falose idea that they were selling out wildly.

SD1978 · 18/10/2018 22:15

Shopkins have also released a poly pocket type thing. Shopkins lock

wonderandwander · 19/10/2018 06:17

The rainbocorns....
Two options on amazon. One £25 one £39.... I can’t tell any difference. Can anyone clarify please??

Mumofboys95 · 19/10/2018 09:55

Baby shark

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 19/10/2018 10:09

For anyone still looking for LOL Under Wraps, Amazon have them in stock for £12 at the moment.

wonderandwander · 19/10/2018 11:40

I have no experience of fingerlings

Too babyish for an 8 year old boy? (The Dino one)

lms2017 · 19/10/2018 16:06

Hairdorables has been requested by my niece!

ClosedAuraOpenMind · 19/10/2018 21:54

Hairdorables are selling at £10.50 on amazon at the moment, down from £14.99

LittleNapRefuser · 19/10/2018 22:36

LOL products are absolutely awful for the environment. The amount of plastic packaging is obscene. If you haven’t already, google IPCC report to see the effect plastics and excessive consumerism toon along with pollution will have on the environment in just 12 years. It’s shocking. If you’ve got children, I would highly recommend reading about it and beginning to make small changes. Less plastic is a good place to start!

Saymaname · 20/10/2018 07:00

Loads of lol underwraps in our Asda
