Thanks Onwith I'll look into that for next year! (Santa home visits)

NoWordForFluffy · 13/08/2018 20:05

You’re only allowed 2 steroid injections in your shoulder in your life. And I’ve already had one! I’m going to ask for an ortho referral bearing in mind my history. I don’t want conservative management, I want a plan for the future from an expert!

15 people takes the piss, flapjack. I’d be complaining to the powers that be. It’s hospital, not a youth club.

I don’t buy the tubs of chocolate. M&S biscuits, on the other hand. Yummy!

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 13/08/2018 20:09

Thanks for all the lovely birthday wishes, anyone I haven't thanked yet!

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 13/08/2018 20:24

My aunt and my dad came, had lunch in McDonald's, DS2 had a cheeseburger happy meal and an ice cream cone, DD had a McChicken sandwich meal and a mini Galaxy Caramel McFlurry, my aunt had a cheeseburger meal and a mini Dairy Milk McFlurry, my dad had a flat white, I had a chicken legend meal, dropped DS2 off at Adventure, my aunt and my dad left, my aunt took DD's clothes from camp back with her, picked DS2 up at 5, had pulled pork burritos for supper, DS2 was in bed by 7.30, DD will go at 9.20. 😋🍦🍧☕🍔🍟😋😴

Happy birthday Psb and Mrsb's dd!

Oh wicker I hope your ds is better soon and nobody else catches it.

petal I am also trying to cut back so looking for any tips!!

Wreck the decoder kits sound interesting, do they look any good?

flapjack sorry to hear that your still in hospital with dc, hope he's better soon. I've spent a fair bit of time in hospital with my dd, it feels like you're never getting home! Fingers crossed it won't be long.

Thanks for the tips for a gift for ds, camping stuff would be right up his street!! Especially the flint and steel to start fire - he would absolutely love that. I'm planning getting my youngest dd a toy kitchen, I bought all the bits in IKEA last week. I was actually going to get the kitchen from Ikea, but think we'll go for the Asda one as it looks lovely.

WreckTangled · 13/08/2018 21:31

Yes lost it looks good and has previously sold out so we've got more in. It's age 7+

WickerHippo · 13/08/2018 22:32

Evening all, thank you for all the well wishes for Benjamin.
I hope your DS gets better soon, Flapjack.

We’ve finally settled Benji, he’s not been able to keep much down today but seems better in himself than he did this morning. So far none of the other boys seem to have caught it. So fingers crossed it stays that way!.

Mrsmadevans · 13/08/2018 23:01

Ahhh Fluffy l totally agree with you if your shoulder has given you grief before and you had an injection of Cortisone already. DH has no previous problems so l am hoping the injection will do the trick. Fingers crossed for your xray tomoz .
PSB that sounded like a positive feast in Maccy d's today ! Smile
Enjoy your day tomorrow .
Night everyone Smile

Morning! In bed drinking coffee. I'm trying to wake up before DS2, I think it's worked! 😆Brew

NoWordForFluffy · 14/08/2018 06:16

Morning!

I hope Benji continues to improve and nobody else gets the bug, Wicker.

Mrs, FWIW, the injection was great and lasted about 6 years before I needed to go back to the GP for painkillers. But I think I need a proper examination and long-term plan given that I'm still comparatively young and it's my dominant arm. Think I need to learn to use my other arm more!

That GH mag is rather elusive, isn't it? Does anyone want me to see if I can find and post one to them?

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 14/08/2018 06:21

I'll have a hunt for it today too.

AceyMac13 · 14/08/2018 07:13

Morning all! I am currently sat in my spare room attempting to sort some of it out as it will become the nursery for baby! So far I’ve found all the Christmas stuff I bought in January; wrapping paper, Christmas tree, cards, oooo it’s really put me in the festive mood!
I nipped into Sainsbury’s local yesterday to get a Victoria sponge cake slice that I’ve been craving soooooo bad (thanks baby) they restocked the bags for life and they were all Christmas ones haha.

WreckTangled · 14/08/2018 07:36

Working in the shop again today. I would like to start Christmas shopping but we're so poor! We've had a really hard war financially and I decided to book lapland so haven't managed to save anything Sad I also have no idea what stocking fillers to get ds. Dd is easy not as any stationery or 'make up' she will love. He's a bit more tricky as all he likes is his bike and YouTube HmmGrin

TheWoollybacksWife · 14/08/2018 07:53

Wreck if it's a push bike rather than a motor bike then a surprise hit with DS last year were the cycling gloves I bought for his stocking. They were about £5 in Sports Direct. If it's a motor bike then I'm stumped Grin

Perhaps some merchandise from his favourite YouTuber they are bound to have some

I bought DS the DVD of Ready Player One yesterday. DH did the ShockHmmConfused faces and I'm sure I heard him mutter that we hadn't fully unpacked from our holiday yet but he hid it in my secret stash anyway.

WreckTangled · 14/08/2018 08:11

Thanks woolly good thinking. It's a push bike but what he really wants for Christmas is a dirt bike. He's only 5 though so that won't be happening..

Mrsmadevans · 14/08/2018 08:45

Morning all Smile
I hope all the little ones are better this morning.
I woke to the morning feeling quite Autumnal and it is lovely.
Off up the parents this morning to sort them out and mums teeth or lack of them Smile
Fluffy that is very heartening to know the injection lasted you 6 years, poor DH is in great discomfort from his shoulder bless him. It is shocking how horribly upsetting this injury makes one feel. His is not in his dominant shoulder so l am hoping . Good luck today!
Constant, that Panettone looks just lovely such a pretty festive packaging. Love it!
Woolly thank you for the heads up for the dvd , l think l am going to get it for my DGN who is nearly 9 by Christmas do you think it is suitable for him , he is nuts on the PS4, SCI FI and Star wars etc.
Wreck , don't despair over the cost of Christmas , l am sure things will be fine, happen that we have all been there one time or another my dear. You have booked Lapland, so really is that the main family present ? They will love it I am sure! Also the boards here will help you re the present budgeting and buying the bargains too. I think we all buy too much and they don't need any of it really! Flowers
Acey l love the Christmas supermarket bags lol and your nursery plans sound just lovely. Ahhh such wonderful memories, we had Laura Ashley wallpaper for our 2 girls . Smile
Such blissful times .
Right l had better get up and go to the parents . Have a lovely day everyone Smile

Mrsmadevans · 14/08/2018 08:48

Wreck he is so small in the picture ahhhh Bless , so sweet.

TheWoollybacksWife · 14/08/2018 09:01

MrsMad I think he might be a bit young for it. The DVD has a 12 rating. It was a 12A at the cinema which means it was passed for under 12s to watch it with an adult - DS saw it at the cinema with his big sister. There is some gaming style violence, a fairly discreet that doesn't look right even though I checked the spelling scene with nudity and some bad language. There are also references to other films including The Shining. TBH from that description I think my DH will have a fit of the vapours if he watches it even if it is a Spielberg film 😂.

SideOrderofSprouts · 14/08/2018 10:55

Morning All.

The kids are playing play doh, I’m looking at amazon to add things to lists. And we’re watching miracle on 34th street

Christmas bags for life? Xmas Grin I'll need to check those out after lunch! "But Muuuum, we're supposed to be spending my money!" "Yes dear, but they're Christmas bags for life!" 😂

JurassicGirl · 14/08/2018 11:16

I tried to convince Dh to watch National Lampoons Christmas Vacation last night but he was having none of it Sad

However I did order a 'Buddy the Elf' funko pop to add to my Christmas decorations. Can't wait til he arrives!

Also got my Feves nativity set out (to post on another thread) which made me really happy!

Photo attached in case anyone wants to congratulate me on my fabulous set Grin

AceyMac13 · 14/08/2018 11:23

@MrsMad - love the sound of the Laura Ashley wallpaper you had for your girls :) still attempting to sort the spare room but this nausea is flooring me, just want to find out what I’m having so I’ll have more of an idea for a nursery theme :) I’m nearly 8 weeks so have a long way to go yet 😂
Postman just delivered a lot of parcels, whooops he didn’t look happy! With a big family and 5 older brothers I have to start early or it won’t get done at all 😂

SideOrderofSprouts · 14/08/2018 11:28
