Ooh a new thread!!! There's a definite nip in the air which can only mean Christmas is coming!! My DH has even got the wood burner on - I think he's overreacting slightly!

Went for a drive today and picked up some fairyy lights to put around the living room. We want to go all out on the outside of our cottage. We’re going for really traditional decorations and are getting a balsam hill tree. It’s really hard to find a place for the tree in the new house

DH was surprised that I had the heating on this morning! 😠 IT WAS 9°! And I had DS2's socks to dry, or he'd have had no socks today!

Had macaroni cheese and garlic ciabatta for supper, DS2 will go to bed at 7.30. 😴

It is cold today and DH and DS have been out most of the day so I've snoozed and relaxed and thought about Christmas obviously

Wicker you're right , it's hard to find the space for the tree, When I look at houses on Rightmove , one of the things that draws me to a house is space in the hallway for a massive tree.

I'm planning on buying a Balsam Hill this year ( we bought a real tree last year and though it was gorgeous , there are downsides)

Though we have 3 bedrooms , one of them is a boxroom, (used to store bedding in Spacesaver bags, laundry baskets and other random tat) so DS (18) has the downstairs front room as his , we have the back room and kitchen/dining room for family.
In winter I need to find space for our guinea-pigs (they have the boxroom, I move everything out) and The Tree

My dc wrote their christmas lists today!! I've already got some of the things they've asked for - result!!

We’ll have the big tree in the living room, another big one in the kitchen, a 5’ in the hallway and then some smaller ones dotted around the house!. It’s going to be so Christmassy!.

We have a lovely little cottage with an open fire, whereas before we had a two bedroom flat that was freezing. So it’s going to be a lovely change!.

Wow. We've gone from no thread babies to having them all over!

There was a chill in the air this morning that felt really autumnal and got me all excited. I'm so ready to start Christmas shopping (and realise I'm a real amateur compared to most on here).

Ooh! We might get some trees for the boys room as well!

We have two fake trees as one of our cats eats real ones and then is sick The one in the main room is a massive 9ft jobby which I live and then a standard 6ft one in the kitchen diner.

Shh Mrsr8, don't let DS2 hear you, he'll want one! 😂
