Went back to work properly (normal hours instead of last week's short days because officially I was still on holiday ) so haven't caught up fully in the thread.

I've had a headache and vomiting all day, I've been in bed since 6. The headache's waning, I feel a little hungry but not ravenous, I might leave food until tomorrow.

I've caught up on bake off, the dc enjoyed it too and dd is now watching last year's Christmas special

Just ordered loads of new clothes for the boys for the autumn, I love buying things for when it’s cold!

Mrsmad I don't think there's anything wrong in not buying each other Christmas presents. Me and DH tend to spend money together going somewhere and give token presents so we have something to open in the morning.

I haven't managed GBBO yet as DH is always around and he hated it 🙄

Have completed my first long day since coming back from my holiday. DH treated me to homemade curry for tea and we're now watching Blue Bloods together. We just had the first giant spider of the season scuttling across the floor Was bloody huge!

Does anyone know if there are any good period dramas coming up? They're usually on in the autumn and I caught a random episode of Downton the other day and remembered how nice it was to cosy down to on a cold evening.

Fluffy now you say that I'm sure you've told us before. I take it you deal with injury? I work for an insurance company so we are professionally supposed to be enemies I think but I'm in compliance support now rather than claims which suits me better as I don't have the stomach for negotiating injury settlements.

I think yours is a very sensible idea, MrsM. We're the same, buy throughout the year. I always suggest token presents at Christmas, but DH tends to go a bit mad on me

Morning. I managed good sleep last night. Think you just get so exhausted that you essentially fall into a mini coma at some point! Anyway, late night GP surgery today, so I'll call at 8 and see if I can get an appointment later. If not I'll go tomorrow.

Crazy, yes, injury claims, EL/PL. I was a defendant for a bit on secondment to one of the biggest insurers in the U.K., so I'm equally happy on both sides of the fence.

I hope all of the ill people are on the mend today. Seems to be the season for it.
