Morning all. I always wake before my alarm on work days, but usually around now so that's not too bad.

Hope your GP is sympathetic on Friday, Fluffy. Not being able to sleep always makes pain so much worse!

I think reception children in their uniforms look too cute, like they're dressing up. I need to start looking at schools for DS next month, as he starts next year. It's crazy, though! He's still a baby!

I'm planning a hybrid Holidays Grand Plan/Organized House & Holidays plan. Some weeks may be a token effort, as I'm on a training course next month, we're visiting DPIL in France for a week in October, and then a week away at the beginning of December. I figure anything is better than nothing, though!

Meant to say, I wasn't planning on sorting the front garden yet as the veg patch is still going but next door put their house up for sale yesterday. I don't want viewers thinking they don't want to live next to those scruffs !

Am I the only one who goes straight to Rightmove when one of the houses down the street goes on the market?? #nosy

I need to weed the front garden as they've gone mad again. Thankfully it's not a big job as I keep on top of it. Our poor back lawn still looks a bit sorry for itself in patches though. Hopefully that'll sort itself out over time, if not I'll put seed down in spring.

I have to print the Grand Plan later, get going. There's not enough hours in the day right now though!

Though, weirdly, one has gone up near us and it's not on Rightmove or the agent's own site. Makes me think it's godawful inside. One of the front windows is hanging off a hinge Kirstie and Phil would despair of its kerb appeal and shows no sign of being fixed. It's not in a great position anyway (backs into the park and kids hang out at a little building next to it / sit on its side wall), so you'd think they'd try harder to make it look more appealing!

I am tired yet again but managed more sleep than the night before last which is something I guess.

What is this Grand Plan? I have a lot of decluttering / rearranging of rooms to do- could it help me with that?

I have a long (11 hour) day in work today (overtime on top of my normal day) and already regret agreeing and I'm not in the office yet!

I've got a shark cordless and I love it, it's amazing!

My dc need to go back to school as they're being horrors.

I'm going to see my friend and her new baby today! So excited. I didn't sleep great as was having awful dreams

On the train to work. Last night was all about keeping DD calm and getting her to bed reasonably early to conserve energy - new school is 8:40-5:45, and expects a lot of homework, plus 3 study sessions (90 minutes each) per week! But she enjoyed her first day.

We were in China, at the world championships for DDs sailing. She enjoyed it, and did better than she hoped despite almost no wind (kinda vital for sailing!).

I’m not worried about the front garden as lots are still blooming there. I’ll probably clean the windows and sweep the front porch and side alley over the weekend - for the dust that builds up to form “soil-like pockets” for weeds. But the leaves haven’t started to fall yet so there will be sweeping again then.

This weeks main priorities are:
DB birthday
Sew up hat for newborn DN (arrival expected today)
Finish emptying suitcases - and clear out guest room again as DM likely to need a bed tomorrow
Organized Cubs programme (but no meeting this week due to lack of leaders)

Train at station - gotta go!

I got a new dyson v10 yesterday, it is awesome!

That’s great that he’s excited Fluffy, so is my Arthur. But both me and DH hated school so we’re wondering how long it will be until he does too.

We were up at 6 this morning, we’ve told all our extended family that we’re expecting so everything seems real.

Crazy ladies getting up so early! I'm only up before 7 if one of the kids wakes me.

Starting reception is always a big day, how exciting and nerve wracking at the same time!

I didn't get up until half seven. The dc were already up but generally they are capable of getting up without an adult.

Baby cuddles were amazing! He's so cute and I didn't feel broody at all! I'm going to do some baking this afternoon.

Sorry to hear of people struggling to sleep :( DS let us sleep until 6:15 which is definitely a lie in for us!

Bought DD a phone online from EE, bought her a purple long sleeve top and leggings for her birthday from Amazon. She'll order her FNAF plushy when she gets back. I didn't think I'd be able to buy it all in time for her birthday, but I managed it! 😆

We had homemade pizza for dinner, it was amazing. I might do it as our dinner on NYE with loads of bought in sides.

I've got a job interview next week I found out today, at a firm in my town which specialises in motorcycle claims. Really want it. Have to get revising!

Good luck fluffy! I have managed to do something to my back (DH thinks it is a trapped nerve) and am hobbling around. Thankfully DH is doing DS' bedtime so I have chucked two potatoes in the oven and mixed together some tuna and mayo

Evening all
Been busy up the parents today,
DH cooked them and us a lamb dinner , it was delicious , he is a great cook . Did a lot of cleaning, washing, ironing and changing the beds, hanging the washing out etc etc took mum to the hairdressers phew! Busy and very tiring, came home and collapsed in front of the telly. Watched Basil Rathbone in the Spider woman and 2 episodes of For the People, think Ally Macbeal with no songs lol
I like it anyway . I saw GBBO last night it was so lovely to see it again ! Am watching Bodyguard too now that is spellbinding !
DH and l have agreed to not buy each other any Christmas pressies. Before you think we are being nasty to each other or on the verge of splitting up . We aren't at all just that we buy stuff all year round as we want it, just bought him a Video player and a Capture device to turn all the children videos into Files on a USB stick so we can all watch them again, haven't seen them for about 15 yrs!

Anyway the video player and the CAPTURE device cost £ 50 and before that he had new front car mats for the car , £55 the big softy wanted ones with the car name on them so they were a lot of money , then just before that he had a wireless scanner which cost 90 quid so he is doing very very well thank you! I suppose l am writing and telling you all because l feel guilty !! I shouldn't feel guilty because l only had 3 dresses and a tartan trenchcoat
