Morning! On the way to work and dreading what my task list is going to look like! It's essentially going to be two days' tasks. Sigh. Plus I have Friday's emails and post to deal with. And I need to send out Trial bundles today. That's my first job before all others! Arggghhh.

I have a job application I need to complete today too, as it's the last day. I'll do it on the train home, I think.

It doesn't help that I'm exhausted due to my bloody shoulder. I'll be asking for better pain relief on Friday, I can tell you!

I live in Newport Mrs :) Dewstow was lovely but overpriced in my opinion. In work this morning and really not feeling it. Only 2 weeks and 4 days of my notice left to go though :)

yes you definitely need better pain relief. Apart from that I don't have anything helpful to suggest, just lots of sympathy. I keep waking up far too early, no idea why. Then I can't get to sleep at night because of DH moving about in the TV room. We're in a flat, so all on one floor.

I'm working in the shop today. Hoping we get a delivery of something because that makes the day go quicker...

My lamp is from the range I saw it online and was desperate for it then when I went in it was reduced to £14 but they only had the display model left and now they've discontinued it. Luckily they let me have it

I am back from my adventures (and, Oh BOY! was it an adventure!) and got almost no shopping done for lots of stupid reasons. But I took yesterday off work as well (DH was ill and I was trying to sort everything after the holidays, including the flooded washing machine pipework yesterday morning on load #6 with another 3 loads left to do!). And as the weather was good, I managed to get a few of this week's Holiday Grand Plan tasks done, and DD organized for going to her new school this morning.

Today, I am dealing with the paperwork mountain at work, and trying to get my head back on Irish time again (and ignoring the ominous rumblings of my own gut). I need to check my lists, and my budget. I have a few things to buy for this week (school stationary, sausage rolls were requested, and some birthday bits for various people) but I'm hoping to get properly started on the Christmas buying as well (now that my plans of holiday purchasing have fallen through).

And I need to get a brochure for feb mid-term skiing, as the summer holiday was such an, erm, adventure, that we need something to enjoy instead! (We were not planning on going this year, but DD wants to and both DH and I want a proper holiday of some sort).

Hopefully tonight I will get a chance to catch up on all the news....you've all been very chatty so that will take a while! !

Just had smoked haddock fish cake, buttered baby potatoes and salad in the Sainsbury's café. 😋🐟 The menu's definitely getting more autumnal. 🍃 The DC went off to my aunt's in time to have sandwiches on the train. 🚂

Fluffy it only starts this week so, unless your garden/front porch is bad, you can easily just jump in next week when it moves indoors (it’s living room and entrance hall the next 2 weeks).

I've got about 4-5kg of blackberries in the freezer already. Loads more still to come too. It's crazy how many there are!

I've got Home to homemade burgers which was nice. I slept awfully last night so am v tired and think DH felt guilty as he slept well and has the day off.
Tonight's plan is some boring budget / admin stuff and cook something for lunch tomorrow - soup maybe as the weather has turned.

Evening all, got all DS1s uniform today. He starts reception this year. He looks so smart in his new uniform but I just want to cry! I don’t want him to grow up.

We’re reallt struggling to buy presents this year, I hate plastic stuff

I'm going to feel like that next year when DD goes to secondary school! She's already looking far too grown up!

Thankfully l still have a 3 year old and 2 year old at home and another on the way, will keep me occupied for a few more years!.

Morning! I've been awake ages thanks to my bloody shoulder. Not good at all! Can't wait to get to the GP on Friday. I get to stay in bed for an extra hour as I'm on the late shift today though. Normally I'd go in early, but I'm taking advantage of the extra rest. Though I may end up getting up if I don't get back to sleep soon!

Heavy, my DS starts Reception next week. He's my youngest, so both will be in school. DD started last year. He looks cute in his uniform! And he's really excited too (DD can't wait to go back either!).

Fur, I love our Dyson for the every day detritus; wouldn't have it as our main vacuum though as it's not good enough for that!
