Morning all! My wonderful DH has taken our boys out and left me to sleep peacefully. I’m still getting morning sickness so I’m not feeling great lately. I’ve never wanted a pregnancy to be over as quick as this one! And I’ve still got 6 months left. We’ll find out the sex in 3 weeks so that’s exciting.

We have spiders all over our house, we live in an old cottage that still has beams and the spiders love to hang out there. I hate them!.

The house was freezing when I woke up this morning so I have put the heating on, we’re thinking of a lazy bank holiday Monday. So have got some bath bombs ready for the boys and will give them all a bath when they get home and have put their lazy clothes on the radiator so it’s nice and warm for them when they get back.

No magazine in Sainsbury's but the range is full of Christmas stuff!

Afternoon.

Soooo busy since getting home: Dysoned the kitchen, cleaned bathroom, weeded the allotment, picked more blackberries (allotment and at home), mowed the lawn, harvested green beans, peppers and cucumbers, made curry for dinner and sorted the blackberries to put in crumble. Phew, ready for a sit down now!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/08/2018 17:04

I did
shopping today ,
managed to get the holiday washing done, either put away in Space Saver bags for storage/in wardrobes/in Charity shop bag to be picked up on Wednesday
Made a vegetarian chill for tomorrow
Wailed a bit over my hairdye (even though DD says it's really nice) I'm sure I'll get used to it. Washed it with Superdrug H&S to try and lift the colour a bit

Need to clean the guinea-pigs beds
Sort out bins for tomorrow

Back to work for DH and I, the DC are still on holiday Xmas Envy

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/08/2018 17:06

DD said today that she can't wait for Christmas now she's "so over summer"

We have September and Autumn, Hallowe'en and Guy Fawkes

I have my new winter boots (easily pleased ,me)

PhilomenaButterfly · 27/08/2018 17:09

DS2 and I went to the Sainsbury's café for lunch, he had pizza, a strawberry pavlova and a Harry the Horse biscuit, I had warm cheese and onion quiche, buttered baby potatoes and salad and a Twister. No Adventure today. Making spinach and ricotta cannelloni which we'll have with garlic bread. 😋🍕🍓🐴

Fstar · 27/08/2018 17:25

😭😭😭 went to my local Range and they had no christmas stuff! Still all summer crap 😢😭😢

WreckTangled · 27/08/2018 17:28

Oh no! Our range only opened on Friday so maybe that's why it's all there already? They had it next to the Halloween stuff and bbq's Hmm literally about six aisles of it.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/08/2018 17:54

This thread won't make the end of the month at this rate Xmas Grin

I saw some CapriSun pouches with special Hallowe'en faces on them .

The Christmas stock will be easing itself into Costco soon (usually when the schools go back, they call it "The Holidays" as it's a USA store )

And they do some pretty good Hallowe'en decorations but we make ours from random bits (huge spider in a web, Hallowe'en Tree , floaty ghost balloons , pumpkins with teeth Xmas Grin )

FurForksSake · 27/08/2018 17:56

Oh my goodness, must get to the range to see if ours has its stuff in. So exciting!

We went to an open air museum and had a lovely time looking in all the buildings. They have a prefab and I could just imagine having a 50's christmas in it.

Fluffy I will head onto the Hearst website as I have been searching for GH but to no avail and I need it to cope with the first weeks back.

PhilomenaButterfly · 27/08/2018 18:20

DS2 will go to bed at 7. 😴

FurForksSake · 27/08/2018 18:24

Constantly - if you find it can you share a link my lover? I too will need it to cling to in the dark times ahead :)

NoWordForFluffy · 27/08/2018 18:35

Here you are: www.hearstmagazines.co.uk/special-editions-subscriptions-good-housekeeping-get-ahead-for-christmas

It's linked on the thread about it (being like rocking horse poo!).

FurForksSake · 27/08/2018 18:38

I am a giddy kipper! THANK YOU

NachoCheese22 · 27/08/2018 18:43

Oooo I got the magazine in my local Tesco today! It's great, all of my nearest and dearest will be getting my homemade booze for gifts this year.

WreckTangled · 27/08/2018 18:43

Ooo thanks fluffy

Don't forget TopCashback for Hearst magazines.

WreckTangled · 27/08/2018 19:15

I wonder if my TopCashback for Hearst will confirm. If it does it makes it a real bargain

NoWordForFluffy · 27/08/2018 19:36

I had to put a claim in for mine, Wreck. Annoyingly!

WreckTangled · 27/08/2018 19:42

It's tracked so hopefully it'll confirm!

NoWordForFluffy · 27/08/2018 20:01

Ah, should be fine then! Mine didn't track. I had a bad weekend where bugger all tracked the other week!

NoWordForFluffy · 27/08/2018 21:01

Eek! Did anyone else just see the Strictly trailer?!

CrazyBaubles · 27/08/2018 21:41

Thank you for the countryfile link Mrsmad my vote went to Big Dipper

I haven't seen the Strictly trailer but realised today that GBBO is on soon so need to make sure I don't miss it like last year when I only got to watch the last few episodes 🙄

I've done some blackberry picking in the garden today. Was going to do more on the walk with ddogs but the eldest couldn't manage to go far enough so we didn't reach them. Will have to go in the week I think.

I have also dug out a Christmas bath set I had last year from a company called b.o.m.b - they're a bit like Lush. Found a gingerbread bath bomb which I used, was lovely and I can still smell it faintly on my skin.

I've been trying to keep my festive mood to myself as DH thinks it's bonkers but it was so cold today I put a hoody and bed socks on and lit a red candle. I was sat on the sofa minding my own business (looking at festive Pinterest boards) when DH looked across and just said "you look cosy. You're feeling Christmassy aren't you" Xmas Grin

SassitudeandSparkle · 27/08/2018 22:38

Yes, just saw it!

I had a cappuccino today, and the barista put a snowflake on it (the choc on the top) Never too early!

PhilomenaButterfly · 28/08/2018 06:50

Morning! DS2's watching TV, I'm in bed drinking coffee. Brew
