That seems lovely baubles. We’re wayching the polar express today and then writing some letters to Santa, DH has gone out whilst we watch it because he gets grumpy if we watch Christmas films before Christmas

Hi Heavy! You need to train your DH to embrace Christmas! I managed it with mine!

Baubles, I'm glad your mum came to the rescue. That's what parents are for.

I wrap all at once, Red. I forget what I've got if I do it piecemeal. Or I ruin my paper plans by not planning my wrapping carefully once I have everything and know the sizes of everything.

Wrapping is the thing I really dislike about Christmas fluffy so I do it in dribs and drabs. Also DS keeps stumbling on his presents while playing hide and seek so thought I had better wrap them!

I’ve tried Fluffy! Been together since we were 15 and after all these years he doesn’t accept Christmas until december. We’ve had genuine arguments about it!. Thankfully the kids love it

I do so love a rainy Sunday afternoon.

I love that butter dish Fluffy! I wish I could get away with buying stuff like that but DH would hate it. In truth we have nowhere to store more Christmas stuff so just as well really. At least he doesn't object to my crocheted decorations, although he has a certain WTF look about him IYKWIM

I bought a teapot earlier this year too! It's a bit smaller than ours now, but sits nicely on our tealight stand so will keep warm nicely!

Red I wrap all at once like Fluffy too. It's one of my favourite evenings - twinkly lights on, watching the Muppets Christmas Carol, drinking rum. I always do it without DH here so I can enjoy it without interruption (although I like wrapping presents in general which helps).

Heavy my DH is similar. He's changing very slowly and is willing to discuss Christmas in mid October now but we still bicker about when the tree goes up / when we should really start to celebrate.

Luki I had a flick through yesterday but haven't had chance to read it properly yet. Can't wait though - your pic looks so cosy.

Fluffy that butter dish is fab.
DH would wince if I bought more Christmas kitchen stuff (although I want to add glasses to my Spode Christmas tree crockery set this year). He thinks it's nuts to have stuff like that which is only used for Christmas

I am home, full and rested thanks to my lovely mum. Am now heading for a relaxed evening, pjs, film & crocheting and an early night!

DH did say that if it's our ONLY butter dish, then surely it's our all year round butter dish rather than a Christmas one. Maybe he has a point! 😂🎅

Been shopio this morning and got some bargains from Wilkos
10P For the robots, 25p for the stretch & flips and 50p for the top trumps.
I have just heard that my friends little boy has been taken into hospital in Diabetic Ketoacidosis, he is only 9 bless him, so l will take these things in for him and a magazine when l pop in. Think l was meant to pick them up for him.
PB l leave you unattended for a few hours and you go and change your moniker can't leave you lot alone for 2 mins

I have worn my coat today too for the first time in months!

FLUFFY - I so need that butter dish
I have had a good afternoon sorting out all the Xmas bits bought recently. The stuff bought it Jan sales is all safely stored on top of the wardrobes but thanks to these threads I have recently received orders from Revolution, toys for a pound, Amazon, Boots and many others. I have dumped these in my bedroom and left in the original boxes but they are taking up too much room so have unpacked everything and binned the packaging. Just stopped to cook our evening meal then I am back at it. (Bed can barely be seen currently. Oh well - it has to get bad to get better

I had a delivery with DS's PJs and socks this weekend. The socks are to go in his stocking but traditionally PJs are gift from my DM so it feels a bit bitter sweet to buy them as it is looking like DM won't be with us for much longer.

On a happier note I'm cooking the first roast of the season. I've also stashed some homemade chilli sauce, some red currant jelly and some red currant gin is infusing away in the cupboard.

I will be cracking on with my blanket for Woolly Hugs this evening.

It was so lovely to get up to a cold house this morning after weeks of sweating in bed each night.
The world is the right world up again and I am enjoying the dark rainy afternoon.
I am in the mood for s Christmas film but been over ruled by the majority. Ha ha x
