For me it's Ferrero arsing Rocher to take to SIL's tomorrow. The ambassador will not be spoiling anyone this Christmas in the Cherry family. Asda had mountains of the stuff in yesterday, but I'd already done the shopping and couldn't be arsed going back to the tills. Not a single one there today, or in the Spar. Oh well, that'll learn me.

What did you not get for tomorrow, in the way of shopping/presents/food?

I nearly didn’t get wood pellets... had to have emergency prime delivery today at a lot more than Icould get them for locally.

DS is getting a pizza oven fired by wood pellets, the local farm supplies shop always has bags of them , except for when I needed them yesterday ( apparently their supplier had a flood and no stocks around).

I didn't get any wine for home. Now I'm ill and will be missing christmas and probably won't feel like having a drink anyway (been in bed the last 2 days), but I wish I had wine!

Littlelambpeep · 24/12/2017 16:07

We have yet to get a carrot as I made carrot and parsnip mash and froze it.. But will get one from mil.

Ontopofthesunset · 24/12/2017 16:08

Well, they're not shut here! Sainsbury's open till 9pm, newsagents till 6, corner shop till at least 10 and maybe later, he says, if he gets people coming in panicking....

Kenworthington · 24/12/2017 16:08

Not wine? That’s a Christmas calamity! 😩

WheelyCote · 24/12/2017 16:08

Not shut here either. Sunday trading hours are the more relaxed 11-5.

We don't have enough milk. Despite getting a new bottle yesterday and being put from after breakfast it has almost gone

MakeItStopNeville · 24/12/2017 16:13

It’s only 1110am here and waiting for my food delivery. Once that arrives, I’ll be able to work out what I’ve forgotten. I’ve already realized I forgot the bacon. Oh! And I’ve got to get my British sausages out the freezer!

Hoppinggreen · 24/12/2017 16:14

Dog poo bags
Neither local small supermarket had them.
Totally ruined Christmas ( not really)

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 24/12/2017 16:16

TBF I wouldn't be impressed if I turned up to Xmas dinner and they were serving dog poo bags Wink

BonnieF · 24/12/2017 16:18

Christmas cards.
Christmas decorations.
Tree decorations.
Fairy lights.
A Christmas tree.
Christmas crackers
A turkey

It's just the two of us, so we do Christmas in a fairly low-key way. Plenty of very good wine, though Grin

BexleyRae · 24/12/2017 16:20

Goose fat for the roast potatoes.
I've basically ruined my Christmas dinner

Piffpaffpoff · 24/12/2017 16:21

Non alcoholic drinks. So it'll be orange squash for the non drivers Grin

HashiAsLarry · 24/12/2017 16:22

Prosecco. The shame Blush
not that there's plenty of other wine types, spirits and other booze here
