For me it's Ferrero arsing Rocher to take to SIL's tomorrow. The ambassador will not be spoiling anyone this Christmas in the Cherry family. Asda had mountains of the stuff in yesterday, but I'd already done the shopping and couldn't be arsed going back to the tills. Not a single one there today, or in the Spar. Oh well, that'll learn me.

What did you not get for tomorrow, in the way of shopping/presents/food?

Not shut here either. Sunday trading hours are the more relaxed 11-5.

It's not more relaxed, it's still 6 hours, just chosing a different time to open.

Lemonade forgotten here. Hopefully my wonderful SiL is coming to the rescue tomorrow.

StillTryingHard · 24/12/2017 19:43

AA batteries. Everywhere run out. Plethora of AAA though. 🙄

BexleyRae · 24/12/2017 19:51

I'm doing a leg of lamb holly so I'm planning on using vegetable oil now, like I use for a normal Sunday lunch.
I just wanted fancy roast potatoes

stamps feet in a huff

ILikeyourHairyHands · 24/12/2017 19:55

Piccalilli! My Boxing Day pork pie is bereft.

Cagliostro · 24/12/2017 19:58

Something for dinner tonight! Just me and the DCs as DH is at work. Takeaways are open though...

Firenight · 24/12/2017 19:59

Herbal tea

Hallamoo · 24/12/2017 20:01

Cranberry sauce - no one cares.

cuirderussie · 24/12/2017 20:03

I remember sending dh and ds for a last minute Xmas eve shop dash to get me some bayleaves. They came back with a bottle of Baileys Xmas Confused

Caenea · 24/12/2017 20:12

Tinfoil here too! I have some left, but I doubt it's enough

But not the end of the world - the lovely Muslim family who own and run the corner shop down the street are open ALL DAY tomorrow so if I do need it, DP can go for a wander down.

Which will be good actually, because I also forgot to take them their mince pies and lemon cake I always do for them at Christmas. So really, it all works out.

Timmytoo · 24/12/2017 20:14

Best thing ever for headaches. It relieves them immediately. Mix a very small quarter of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper with a bit of water. Works almost straight away!

Caenea · 24/12/2017 20:15

@BexleyRae if you're in the Halifax/Sowerby Bridge kind of area (super long shot I know) I have half a jar of goose fat in the fridge. I've used it a couple of times but prefer beef dripping so I've got that in for Christmas.

It;s yours if you want the stuff and are local enough to get it.

hashtagelfie · 24/12/2017 21:04

Wensleydale with cranberry (I ordered but Tesco didn't have any)

Batteries

Calpol (ds age 5 had to learn how to swallow tablets at 1am this morning)

BexleyRae · 24/12/2017 21:20

Sadly I'm nowhere near you @Caenea. But i like the idea of beef dripping, I think that will be a new year's experiment

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 24/12/2017 21:30

I have some piccalilli you can have @ILikeYourHairyHands; feel free to pop round and collect it (and it's from Booths, so it's fancy!).

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 24/12/2017 21:31

@hashtagelfie, crush tablets and put them in neat squash. I couldn't swallow tablets for years, so that's what my mum did!

Vicks30 · 24/12/2017 21:47

I have everything, maybe more than we need. Think we will have lots of leftovers. Son is getting over ear infection so only just getting his appetite back. I’ve got tonsillitis which only discovered today and luckily my BF had a course of penicillin which the dr gave him before he had his tonsils out months back, he never used so started taking them. Hopefully my appetite will be fine but the last 5 days only ate 1 meal a day. Luckily there will be 10 of us for dinner, so the other 9 should be able to make up for us 🙈

Nothomealone · 24/12/2017 21:52

Sausage meat for stuffing, do I cut down to one pack of sausages for pigs in blankets, and use one pack of sausages for stuffing? Maybe.

Payfrozen · 24/12/2017 22:12

Nuts. Nuts in shells to go in the stockings.
We do have satsumas though Xmas Blush

MaroonPencil · 24/12/2017 22:19

Eggs. For our supposed scrambled eggs and smoked salmon breakfast. But the Spar is open tomorrow morning so...

LockedOutOfMN · 24/12/2017 22:21

We live abroad and crave Boots chicken and stuffing sandwiches. Flew to U.K. on Friday but still haven't managed to buy one. Didn't think of it until reading this thread.

Christmas-wise, I wanted to buy a voucher for my older brother but it's not available online so I could've trekked across town to buy one in person...

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 24/12/2017 22:28

I've got all the Xmas stuff sorted, but run out of sugar, eggs and butter. Wouldn't be a problem but DS1 doesn't like Xmas food, so one of his gifts is a massive box of brownie mix. Which will need eggs. Oops. He'll be going without until Boxing Day.

Merry Xmas one and all x

ILikeyourHairyHands · 24/12/2017 23:06

Excellent @ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy, I shall be there in 10.

Thanks very much!

Solly76 · 24/12/2017 23:37

Forgot red wine to go in the warm spiced punch

FitBitFanClub · 24/12/2017 23:42

Gaah! Just realised we don't have a single dishwasher tablet left!!!

Emergency text to guests to bring some!

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 25/12/2017 00:04

Our neighbour knocked on the door earlier asking for a carrot for Rudolph, she had 2 very upset boys 😂 luckily I stocked up, and in return she's given me some tin foil. Hurrah!
