Do parents give presents or are they all from FC?

Maybe a question asked previously on here but me and DH always have this every year. Do you give presents to children or are they all from Father Christmas?

Only stocking presents come from FC in this house - all other presents are from real people.

Tree from/to everyone else. Including the gifts that the dc have selected, wrapped, etc, for us, each other, friends and family. All tagged and ready to go eyes pile

One present from me, something that wasn't on her letter, all the rest (msin presents and stockings) from Santa.

DS got a Lego advent calendar, PJs, abolk and some chocolate from us on 1st December.
He’s getting a book from us on Christmas Eve.
All else from Santa.

Stocking from FC, everything else from whoever is giving it to him

To add- presents from friends and relatives from them so he can thank them.

(Large) stocking and one 'main present' from santa here - main present is just usually the thing they want the most i.e. Can be a big thing like this year ds' phone or a bag of apples as requested by dd!

Rest come from us / family.

Only the stocking from St Nick the rest from whoever gave them.

Children do notice that Granny only bought a present for mum and dad no matter what many people will tell you. It was important to us that the dc understood that people did buy gifts for each other and that it was really important to thank those people. Its difficult to get your dc to say thank you for gifts to people when then believe that Granny didn't buy them anything at all and it all came from St Nick.

We don't go mad with spending. Ds has plenty of toys, and we get him things during the year as well.

When I was growing up, stocking and "parent" presents were from FC, presents from aunts, GPs etc where from the giver.

For our DCs, stocking (large) from FC and a few presents from us, GPs etc under the tree from the giver (or given in person if seeing them close to christmas).

We do all the santa presents. Presents from other folk still get delivered from him.

Dd doesn’t really know the difference yet. But we do one special present from Santa and everything else is from myself and dh

All from parents, nothing from F.C. The kids know he’s just a game we play around a Christmas time and that we get and plan everything.

BiL always used to insist all presents for DN were from FC

Fine when DC are tiny but a tad ungrateful as they get older. I think it's important to recognise the generosity of family/friends

All the gifts I give are from Santa.

Stocking from Father Christmas, most others also from FC. Adults don't get anything from FC and our presents go under the tree before the big day, so we also put a couple under to the kids "from us" so it doesn't look like we only buy for each other and not them
