I've bought a lovely porcelain bowl and have planted a lasagna of bulbs. Mum has everything she wants or needs now so really appreciates gifts that thought and time have gone into

We bought my gran of a similar age a lovely bird bath for her garden

I've ordered her a Cornish cheese hamper from her hometown.
Plus some Royal Honey stuff that she loves.

Mirrored jewellery box and a fancy glass for her gin

I have bought my mum a bee hotel and some m&s handcream (set of 3).

My mum mentioned over the summer, when I offered her my old mac before charity shopping it, that she regretted throwing away her long winter mac. She's getting one for Christmas as I found a nice one on eBay. I end up keeping an ear out through the year for random "oh we don't have X" comments and add them to the calendar for December.

What does your mum enjoy - breakfast hamper with jam etc. in it, a CD of music she'd enjoy?

I sourced some wine my mum loved last year and got her a shawl but don't have any ideas this year

I've got MIL a small memory box that I've filled with photos from over the years.

And the usual M & S exchange-ables!

I got my (late 60s) mum The Crown on DVD, as she doesn't have Netflix.

Garden shears....its what she asked for. Might get her wine as well.

I have to give my mum things she can easily carry home in a case. So, this year, I've got her:

A solar rainbow maker
Woollen gloves
An address and birthday book
A token for her favourite café
Bits for stocking: satsuma, nuts, chocolate bars, emery boards etc

I've got mine the thebookofeveryone.com based on the year of her birth with pictures of family etc. She'll love it because it is so personalised for her. Will get a few more bits but she's got everything she needs so it's just little things I know she'll like.

I have got my mom (70) some sugar free sweets and some max factor make up she asked for and may get her a wrap/cardi thing.
I looked at Betty's teashops - they do some foodie gifts that are delivered?

A guitar.. she's just qualified as a vicar and thinks that a guitar will serve her well
