I’m looking for ideas. What’s everyone doing?

OP posts:

Usually it's avocado on a bagel and scrambled eggs. But this year I heard someone say 'pigs in blankets and a runny fried egg in a cheese bap' and frankly I've thought of nowt else for weeks!!

fluffydogs · 28/11/2017 22:08

Erm selection box, when else can you eat chocolate for breakfast?

LoveYouTimMinchin · 28/11/2017 22:09

For those who are hungry - toast and marmite, marmalade or jam. Or cereal. Juice, tea, coffee, milk. Satsumas, bananas, grapes will all be there if you want them.

I don't make a big thing of breakfast! I'm too busy trying to get lunch ready.

Eilasor · 28/11/2017 22:15

Fresh coffee, oranges/clementines and cookies first thing while we open presents in bed (6-7am)

Cinnamon and blueberry porridge and bacon sandwiches (10-11am) with fizz.

We're hosting this year so I can have it exactly as I like... bliss.

Loungingbutnotforlong · 28/11/2017 22:27

Jus Rol pain au chocolat. Super easy. Hanging on to a ‘reasonable’ time before we can crack open the Buck’s Fizz. Grin

elQuintoConyo · 28/11/2017 22:40

GoingRogue Spain Grin

Unfortunately i have tried googling but can't even find an image for 'gingerbread man frying pan'! It was only €5.

Perhaps i should start an export company for such whimsical things. It is very cute, i hope it does a good job.

OliviaStabler · 28/11/2017 22:40

Champagne and toast

KiaOraAura · 28/11/2017 22:43

A selection box of course. God, there are some unsophisticated buggers on this thread Grin

TheBlueMeaniesAreComing · 28/11/2017 22:44

Either soda bread with bacon bits and cheese melted on top or bagels with bacon and spreadable cheese, orange juice, tea or coffee

KiaOraAura · 28/11/2017 22:44

Ah fluffy, we are kindred spirits

hashtagelfie · 28/11/2017 22:45

Pop tarts and lucky charms Blush

wishingitwasfriday · 28/11/2017 22:46

Eggs Benedict, is a family tradition.

BikeRunSki · 28/11/2017 22:48

DS (9) will be having his now traditional Nutella and bacon croissant. Hmm invented at s Premier Inn buffet breakfast a few years ago.

DD(6) will probably have peanut butter and banana sandwhiches, because that is what she has every day.

Not sure about the rest of us.

pinkmagic1 · 28/11/2017 22:53

Mince pies and quality Street, more than likely!

Taffeta · 28/11/2017 22:54

Last two years we have made Kringle but lots of other cooking going on on 24th, so probs toasted panettone this year.

NIbbles at midday and lunch at 3ish

Goshthatwentwell · 28/11/2017 22:58

Full English with gammon instead of ham and gherkins. We always had to get up super early on Christmas Day to do the cows so starving by 8am, It's stuck with me.

KalaLaka · 28/11/2017 23:01

Chocolate coins and tangerines!

cornishmumtobe · 29/11/2017 05:08

A few years ago my mom told my dad that for Christmas Day breakfast he could have whatever he wanted. The tradition now is that he has onion bhajis Grin

CiderwithBuda · 29/11/2017 05:19

We usually have a fry up mid morning. We have Christmas dinner around 4. Don't open th fizz until we are getting the dinner ready and we have some canapés/nibbles and play a board game.

I would love smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels but I'm the only one.

CiderwithBuda · 29/11/2017 05:19

Cornishmumtobe - my DH would love that!

gemdrop84 · 29/11/2017 05:57

We normally have smoked bacon sandwiches (after a few chocolates) with a glass of bucks fizz or babycham

Bowerbird5 · 29/11/2017 06:04

A cup of tea and DD will probably come into my bed to open her stocking like she always has( she is now 26!) and then pancakes with maple syrup and bacon for me when we get up. We have a decent breakfast because her brothers are usually all working and Christmas lunch revolves around when they finish.

ElfrideSwancourt · 29/11/2017 06:28

Homemade croissants, pain au chocolate and crunchy nut cornflakes, with champagne to drink 🍾

slimyslitheryslug · 29/11/2017 06:37

The DC and I have a bowl of cereal at breakfast time; smoked salmon & scrambled egg with fizz around 11; eat around 3pm.

Wilhamenawonka · 29/11/2017 06:46

Christmas tree made of fruit (to get something healthy into us)and possibly pain au chocolat as a treat
