What do people buy their husbands for Christmas?!

Every year I'm stuck on this one. We may do a budget solution this year and get ourselves a couple things we want like a nice grill pan but I'd still like to get him something ... not a very materialistic guy, likes sports, reads a bit, loves musical theatre...

I am buying mine a voucher for a day at a local French cookery school, aftershave, fancy chocolate and a few books. Everything will be consumed or passed on hopefully. I am tired of clutter! It's bad enough with the dc

I've just got mine a novelty t-shirt and a rugby ball from his favourite team. Replica shirts are too expensive. I will get him some nice booze nearer the time. One of our supermarkets did personalized whisky last year and I hope they do it again.

We bought ourselvs a nice grill pan last year. Might get a pizza stone this year.

Bought my dsf Tom Hanks collection of short stories. Would that be any good?

We're buying a joint gift of a holiday at center parcs just after Xmas

In the past I've bought nice polo shirts, theatre tickets, a trip to Vienna, a sat nav, and for tickets. This year I'm struggling but may buy him an iPod.

Wr are trying to declutter so I may get him a pampering sesh at a local posh barbers. They have vouchers for hot shaves etc. He also loves to cook so I may get him something for that.

If I'm out of ideas I just buy a mixture of things - some of his favourite treat toiletries, a voucher for his favourite clothes shop etc. The more practical the better!

I'm getting Paul Heaton gig tickets, a smoothie/juice maker, nice organic coffee and dark chocolate and obviously new boxers.

In the past he's had a Fitbit, a Kindle, sporting equipment or accessories, hobby related bits etc.

No idea, I asked him what he wants and he said razor blades - he has no imagination!

Experiences are better than gifts. I doubt he needs very much and choosing clothes can be a minefield.
A wonderful experience for to share. Christmas is really about the dc in our house, we always enjoy a romantic christmas eve and open presents and drink champagne then once they are asleep. The actual day is all about the little ones :)

We don't usually bother as his birthday is November and kids get priority, but I've seen a shower speaker (he likes to listen to music in the shower and sing along) that I'm going to get, t shirt/accessories from his favourite designer brand, sweeties and usually something related to his car as it is a classic vehicle that needs a lot of TLC and maintainence.

I don’t think they make iPods any more...

Books. Socks. Cuff links. Handkerchiefs. A framed print? Or a framed poster of his favourite film?

Pants, socks and some very nice alcohol.

I've also arranged baby sitter and booked restaurants for us to have date nights.

I'd feel like my dhs mother if I bought him socks and hankies. Nobody really wants those things as gifts do they.

My husband is a strange beast - he always asks for (and genuinely appreciates) socks!

Luckily we share a hobby* so Christmas is normally pretty easy as I get him stuff for that. In addition he normally gets games, books, movies, tshirts or gadgets - I seriously lack imagination. He’s appreciated Lego in the past but with a 2 year old in the house i don’t dare anymore.

*hobby is wargaming. Not mysterious at all, just seriously geeky.

I'm getting him a Fitbit and probably a football top!! I am exceptionally bad at getting him gifts so feel quite proud that I've already thought of something!!

An Xbox game that I can’t get till nearer the time and I think I’ll get him a new football top. He doesn’t want to do presents this year but i cant do it ill just give them from the kids.

I decided this year not to buy anything (it's also his birthday in December), I am going to take him away for a few days instead. Hopefully make some nice memories instead. I have been desperately materialistic my whole life, which I deeply regret. I hope trying to make memories will last longer. I don't mean that to sound desperately worthy, I mean it as a polemic against myself and my years of total silliness.

It's our birthdays in November and December and our anniversary in Jan. So we usually go away somewhere as our 'present' for all things, with a small thing to open on Christmas Day (usually a t shirt or something)

I got a Cornerstone shave kit last year with a personalised handle. He really liked it and I've continued to buy the products through the year for him. I think I'm going to get the leather washbag from them for him this year
