@choccy - slime kits for the 10 year olds? my nieces around about that age are loving making slime etc.

What about aftershave or ny caps for the older boys? Lynx do a good range now of hair wax and afterhsave you might be able to pick.up 3 for 2? im sure character socks would go down a treat too pound shops always have them in.

For 3 years now I have refused the chocolate coin/lollipop maker, but dd has asked for it again! I'm sure I read here of a better alternative involving Lakeland moulds but can't find the post. Any ideas welcome!

I also now need to join the fingerling and hatchimal bargain hunt (she decided to write her Christmas list last night!)

Divingheadfirst · 08/10/2017 08:00

We have the chocolate coin maker and I wouldn't recommend. Its very fiddly and quite a messy job.

I would recommend the chocolate bar maker however. Much easier to use.

strawberrypenguin · 08/10/2017 08:00

shentok try eBay for bargain sets of Pokemon figures.** They are tiny and clearly not ‘official’ but we’re good enough that I could tell which Pokémon they were supposed to be so I’m guessing DS will have no problems when he gets them!

WhyamIBoredathome · 08/10/2017 08:01

Buckeejit Canton Tea company do a lovely range of loose leaf teas. I don't have a code or anything but I ordered from there for OH a few years ago and he's ordered quite a few times since as he was impressed by the quality. They used to do a tasting type box with small quantities of a few different teas to try. It came nicely packaged too.

Hedgyhoggy · 08/10/2017 08:06

What would be a good slime kit and simple but explosive science kit. Bargainous of course!

gingerbreadmam · 08/10/2017 08:21

id have a look on amazon hedg or argos then can read reviews and price up elsewhere.

baker and ross often get a mention for crafty stuff so might have some good kits and the works is worth a look too.

Could google what you need to make it and buy the stuff seperately and make you're own kit.

lionsleepstonight · 08/10/2017 08:29

@shentok I can't find who I used last year on my eBay order list. I only paid about 1.99 and they came from China. They were great. Only thing is the really cheap ones have a long delivery time, so just check that out to make sure you get them in time.

RJnomore1 · 08/10/2017 08:53

Some teapigs temples in a Emma bridgewater mug would be a lovely present.

margaritasbythesea · 08/10/2017 08:58

Hedgyhoggy - There are these two at The Entertainer. I haven´t had them but the first on gets good reviews and I am sure the second one had good reviews last week beause I ordered it!

Nothingrhymeswithfamily · 08/10/2017 09:04

gogo
The coin maker is shit honestly don't get it! Its messy, fiddly and disappointing.
We got this last year www.lakeland.co.uk/71776/Make-Your-Own-Chocolate-Coins-Kit

The elf bought it as an activity as "father christmas had run out of coins, can you make him some more?"

Really, really good
We have a chocolate melting pot www.lakeland.co.uk/71925/Electric-Chocolate-Melting-Pot-CM103?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIpbDejcjg1gIVbgDTCh0z6QxXEAQYASABEgJgwfD_BwE&src=gfeed&s_kwcid=AL!49!3!225334744525!!!!44001918008!&ef_id=WdnbygAAAGN2tzBR:20171008080322:s
Thats good for dipping marshmallow and fruit in. But also for the coins as it takes the risk out the microwave ruining your chocolate

AlbusPercival · 08/10/2017 09:09

The pure leaf tea is much nicer than tea pigs I think, it comes loose and in nice tea bags

girlsyearapart · 08/10/2017 09:14

I just ordered some horrible science kits off Amazon which were £5.99
One slime and one bouncy eyeballs ...
For whoever was looking for teenager caps sports direct has under armour ones for £10

RedBlu · 08/10/2017 09:14

I am getting pissed off with the EB mugs. Tried twice using different emails and both times for that referral delay and it said they would email me but they haven’t.

The 2 for £30 deals ends tonight to is an thinking they are trying to wait for that to end

SnowBodyforrrrm · 08/10/2017 09:23

I had exactly the same issue @redblu I've given up 🤷🏼‍♀️

yumyumpoppycat · 08/10/2017 09:23

Nothing I love that chocolate coin idea!

Wiifitmama · 08/10/2017 09:23

I did manage to get the EB thing to work in the end after many tries (a couple of days ago now) but this morning I got emails about the referral code to give to others and there is a long list of terms and conditions at the bottom which basically state offers can't be stacked. So, they are definitely on to us! I do wonder if they will honour the orders made.

SpiritedLondon · 08/10/2017 09:29

I found a lovely pink and gold trio ( cup, saucer and small plate) in a vintage shop for £4 and thought it would be lovely with some tea and home made biscuits as a teacher gift. I might try and look for some more to keep put by.

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 08/10/2017 09:59

Does anyon know if the lol 3 pack was part of the 3 for 2 in argos? I think DD would love these , but dont know if its worth attempting to buy the huge one. So was thinking of getting a combination of the bigger balls and the lil sister ones, and possibly a few of the fizzy ones, though she would want to put these in her bath so may give them a miss.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 08/10/2017 10:10

It was time but was sold out by 7am when I looked.

LancashireTea · 08/10/2017 10:16

@buckeejit I quite like Bluebird Tea from Brighton (also online) as they do a wide variety of different teas. Some are flavoured and lovely. They've based themselves on a Canadian company called David's Tea which is amazing. But doesn't ship here sadly.

Check out their Instagram as they might have a code.

Methenyouplus4 · 08/10/2017 10:17

Was there an offer with The Body Shop mentioned previously?

PerfumeIsAMessage · 08/10/2017 10:23

Seconding "Send my Bag"- they are brilliant- I spend 2 mths in the UK in the summer shopping working, and always ship about 60kg of stuff back, and am in the process of shipping out my old stuff that was still at my Mum's and despite looking into zillions of removal sites, (who wanted something like £900 for 100kg) send my bag works out loads cheaper. They pick it up from your house, or you drop it a petrol station or whatever, and 4 days later the DHL oor other courier brings it to you. Fabulous service. And makes me wince when I remember 15-20 years ago paying about £70 for a parcelforce package of about 15 kg.

Thanks for the Zeek vouchers thingy, I will get some of those for dnephews who are 18 and 20 and I've not seen since they were 3 and 5.

Whoever was asking for Claire's codes- if you hang fire till about mid-Nov or even later, they do massive knockdown sales - 2 years ago I got about 10 sets of multiple earrings for dd for about £8 in total.

I got some L'Occitane bargains last night- on the Italian site though, so don't know if the offers are the same on the UK site- should be I imagine. I got the advent calendar which I was getting anyway- which took me over the price threshold for a £10 instead of £20 gift set (step-sister sorted) and then I found a code (in Italian HIDRATAZIONE) which gave me a £25 skincare kit free. Might be worth fiddling around to see if there is a similar UK code.
