Came across this lovely jewellery advent calendar that might be nice for teens.. still pricey at £38 but it's reduced from £65 with free delivery and includes some lovely looking bits, gold and silver-plated.

Sorry don't know how to neat link..

Thanks Carrie but I can't get past the referral page!

Wiifitmama · 07/10/2017 10:24

Now I need bargain chocolates to put in the three mugs! Something like Lindt balls?

Iwannasnack · 07/10/2017 10:38

Just to add dd got the small asda dolls house for her 3rd birthday. Really good quality for the price although the furniture hasn’t survived brilliantly. It’s mostly full of paw patrol pups but that’s ok. It was out of stock for ages when I wanted to buy it so might be worth getting it sooner rather than later.

friskybivalves · 07/10/2017 10:47

I am suffering from PBSD. Post Bridgewater Stress Disorder. Shattered from multiple attempts to buy until the wee small hours and now convinced they will renege on the deal!

Going to seek the safe haven of the Klevercase site instead.

Wiifitmama · 07/10/2017 10:51

I was sent a 25% discount code for Klevercase as a repeat customer. I am not going to use it now (having ordered twice!). I have no idea if it is unique to my account but if someone would like to try it, here it is:

KCLOYAL-esdd52ta

I am fairly sure it is a one use code so you will need to be quick.

Wiifitmama · 07/10/2017 10:53

While I am on a roll with posting....! I am a long time customer of PACT coffee. I think they are fab! I often give bags as presents too. Anyway, if anyone would like to use my referral code, it helps us both! You get £5 off your first order and I get £5 off to feed my coffee habit :)

YellowMakesMeSmile · 07/10/2017 10:55

Whyam, no as I haven't either Grin We have plenty already and £20 for three mugs still sounds expensive.

People can be funny re mugs, teachers end up with hundreds that they can't ever possibly use up, some like theirs to match their decor etc so it's always seemed a weird gift to me.

Gooseysgirl · 07/10/2017 10:55

Hmmmm.... I strongly suspect the team at EB have busted us Grin! I had received a free spotty mug already using someone's link last week. This morning I was going to try the 3 mugs for £20 trick using DH's email and bankcard, but got the 'delay processing your reward' message

Gooseysgirl · 07/10/2017 10:57

They must have a glut of those spotty mugs they want to get rid of... mine had loads of dust inside and it looks every so slightly out of shape Hmm

Wiifitmama · 07/10/2017 11:03

I agree about mugs being a difficult gift for some teachers - especially if they are older and have a home where everything might match. However, they are perfect for our music teachers who are all very young, just out of music college and living in their first flats!

drspouse · 07/10/2017 11:04

Right one more question - vouchers for my 11yo DN. She and her sister live in continental Europe and the older one is visiting the UK and I'm getting her some Top Shop vouchers to buy tat clothes for herself but the younger one will need something that's going to post to her (normally I get them both Smiths vouchers as normally they both come over).
I looked at Smiggle but it's much too pink and glittery for her. She'd probably like Paperchase but I'm not sure it would be good value for money as it tends to be quite pricey. Any other thoughts?

yellowsun · 07/10/2017 11:05

As a teacher, I have always prioritised my gifted mugs and will admit to leaving the 'best teacher' type Ines in the staff room. I always appreciate a pretty one through. In fact, I'm drinking tea out of a lovely gifted mug at this very moment.

Marshmallowpops · 07/10/2017 11:11

I just managed an EB order 3 for £20 order, at first it wasn't taking the extra £10 off so I changed one of the mugs like someone else advised (was having a tough time deciding between two mugs anyway so that helped!) then it worked!

For those with the 'delay processing your referral' maybe try opening a different browser? I got this message once but then I changed to chrome and it worked.

NotPennysBoat · 07/10/2017 11:16

@LittleFryingPan how about some nice chutneys? Posh crackers/breadsticks/oatcake type things? Amaretti biscuits?

BeaLola · 07/10/2017 11:18

Yes the EB thing worked just now & 3 for £20 inc P&P.

I didn't click on my referral code - I added it at end. I chose polka 1st & then 2 winter animals. Came to £29.90 & then added the £10 code advertised upthread & took it to £20.

BanoffeePieIsMyFave · 07/10/2017 11:21

'I am suffering from PBSD. Post Bridgewater Stress Disorder'
Can I suggest for the next thread title? 😂

PinkPanther27 · 07/10/2017 11:26

@Oreocrumbs do you have a link for the journal please? I've got the mum one and think they're a great idea.

WhyamIBoredathome · 07/10/2017 11:27

yellow my mum is a teacher. She has A LOT of mugs. After a few years they just
Got charity shopped because however much she appreciated the gift she doesn't need or have space for 50 mugs.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 07/10/2017 11:27

What was that mouldable gluey stuff?!

friskybivalves · 07/10/2017 11:28

Thank you wiifitmama! Just used your code for Klevercase and wish I had added more stuff to it!!!

swizzlestix · 07/10/2017 11:29

Great bargain for all those with slime obsessed kids like mine. Smile

Sugru!

PerfumeIsAMessage · 07/10/2017 11:30

drspouse- dd loves Paperchase, and although it's a bit dearer than other similar stores, it's quirky and IMO fairly unique and therefore good value for money- good quality too.

TalkingOrmer · 07/10/2017 11:30

IHope it's sugru.
