A couple of people have been looking for Disney store codes. I was looking back over notes from last year and late October/early Nov they had discount offers so hang on another week or two!
We got the Aldi candy grabber/claw machine which is still going strong and very popular with visiting children. The secret is to tape up the speaker grid to dampen the awful racket music
Aldi (Ireland but UK usually the same give a week either way) have brushed cotton bedding in next week in various styles, that are chrissmassy but subtlety so for those of you that need to introduce the Christmas bedding tradition discreetly best leave Christmas grinch DHs to another thread
Tiger have pug candles for anyone working that theme. €4 I tried taking a picture but it didn't come out very well.
They also have candles shaped like candles in a candle stick. Various colours. A bit gothic. Might be good for Halloween? €2
Great time to stock up on stocking fillers because tiger change stock each month, so teens less likely to come across the stuff you've bought for them, when they are shopping for their friends in December!!
In specifically Irish bargain news: Bookstation have some lovely adult colouring books. Two Harry Potter ones (magical creatures and magical places) for €5.99. Thought they might be a nice addition to Harry Potter themed hampers. They also had Lord of the Rings and Hobbit (2 for €5) and a fabulous Terry Pratchett Discworld one (2 for €8) Of course I actually left with none because the weird pricing system hurt my head but will probably get them for teen nieces when I've had a nice cup of tea and thought about it.
