I'm always confused with the criteria for Argos 342 - would a steering wheel for an Xbox be eligible? Or a netball net?

(by the way thanks Socks- I'll check that price check app/page out looks great!)

RJnomore1 · 25/09/2017 20:32

Hi are there any offers for dots on their own? Just one? Dd has just announced that her Bluetooth speaker is dodgy.

Haudyerwheesht · 25/09/2017 20:34

tellme you can also get a training kick ball for £8.99 on aldi which is basically a belt with an elastic length which has a harness at the end which you secure abnormal football into. You can then practise keepy uppys

Haudyerwheesht · 25/09/2017 20:35

A normal not abnormal!

Haudyerwheesht · 25/09/2017 20:36

And also on amazon not aldi!! Argh!

Pumpkintopf · 25/09/2017 21:03

Autumnfieldsofgold the dot is the interactive speaker, Alexa is the interactive operating system-like Siri on an iPhone. If you mean can the dot work without an Echo-yes, absolutely.

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 25/09/2017 21:15

Lots of people mentioned penguins. B&M had a really gorgeous large mummy and baby set for £15. Couldn't get a picture or I'd have had to buy it as had DS with me. They had other animals but the penguin was the nicest I think

lionsleepstonight · 25/09/2017 21:19

Is there some kind of deal on the hotel chocolate tasting club?

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 25/09/2017 21:45

Was just thinking about the Argos 3for2. They sell a 3 pack of lol dolls for £28. So if you bought 3 packs during the offer they'd only be £6.20 a doll Blush

Autumnfieldsofgold · 25/09/2017 21:49

Thanks Pumpkin, so the echo dot will work without Alexa? And is it ok with just wifi? We don't have any 3G or 4G coverage for about 50miles and wasn't sure if it needed that too?
Sorry for the stupid questions 😂

Annwithnoe · 25/09/2017 21:50

Disclaimer: I've never bought in the Argos 3-4-2 but I've heard that the trick is to fill your basket and click it through at midnight, as if you wait til the sale actually starts nothing will be in stock and you'll end up buying stuff you didn't want and convincing yourself it's a bargain.

They definitely hike their prices. Last year the Lego advent calendars worked out the same price as they were in smyths.

However I think Amazon and possibly John Lewis price match during the 3-4-2 so worth checking them if you can't get what you want in Argos.

This whole post may be completely wrong. Hoping some more experienced posters might verify or refute.

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 25/09/2017 21:54

@Autumnfieldsofgold

Echo and Dot are two different things - one is large and one is small. They both operate using a system called "Alexa". I think the Echo has slightly more functionality but essentially they're very similar things and other threads on mumsnet suggest either are fine! Both operate using wifi.

Divingheadfirst · 25/09/2017 21:59

Does anyone know if scooters or bikes are included in argos 3-4-2

Haudyerwheesht · 25/09/2017 22:04

I'm 99% sure bikes are NOT included

Matilda2013 · 25/09/2017 22:07

Scooters are included we got the flick scooter last year as well as the barbie house that stayed at half price

Autumnfieldsofgold · 25/09/2017 22:14

Ginger thank you! Was confused as Amazon call the dot an "echo dot"!
Am sorely tempted now 😃

Iwannasnack · 25/09/2017 22:29

How often do Argos do the 3 for 2? I have a pita fickle DD who will probably change her mind several times before Christmas.

namechangedtoday15 · 25/09/2017 22:32

If anyone wants a code for the PACT coffee, its NICOLA-1BA6AD

slithytove · 25/09/2017 22:41

So for the Argos 342, can we set up the click and collect after midnight tonight? I.e. Very very early Tuesday morning and will that be valid for Wednesday?

Coldilox · 25/09/2017 22:46

Was in my last cal Quality Save earlier, they had Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig surprise eggs for 49p each. Also got a Marshall backpack water squirts thingy for £6.99

Coldilox · 25/09/2017 22:46

*squirter

Haudyerwheesht · 25/09/2017 22:48

slithy yep

singadream · 25/09/2017 23:23

I am going to go to Smyths tomorrow to look for dd's bday gift which is £120 (gulp) so that's £20 off or £30 off if I buy some other stuff which I no doubt will. Do you think this offer is as good as it will get? If I get £30 off a £150 spend that is 20% off anyway so no need waiting for the 20% off sale

VinoTime · 25/09/2017 23:32

Beautiful metal jewellery box is down to £13.99 from £29.99 on Amazon. All 5-star reviews. Could be used for all sorts, not just jewellery. It's got an expensive antique look about it - might be great or all those Lisa Angel orders we want to keep for ourselves bought Grin
