I like gift cards as stocking fillers - anyone seen any special offers? I remember seeing a 15% off cards at Tesco ages ago and I've never seen it again (apart from in Costco).

I've never seen a Lego advent calendar as low as that.

The best price is usually a 3 for 20 or when smyths did their 20% off.

Did anyone else notice they're all £24.99 this year? I'm sure they are normally £19.99 except for the Star Wars ones.

How cute is this advent calendar? I had been thinking about making one with toilet rolls for the kids like this but now I am spoiled!

I should it possible to buy a card/voucher for Amazon? I know it can be done in US but I've never seen it here.
And can anyone advise on choc/sweets to send to US? Is there anything they don't have over there?
I'm holding out til end of the month for a smyths sale but it's driving me nuts because I feel I should be finished by now apart from twitching of course

ZIGGY911 - best game for kids of that age is the 221b Sherlock Holmes game. It was on offer on Amazon last year and recommended on these threads. It's been a huge success and a great family game. We tend to at in pairs and that works best for us.

Free filament pack for Maplin 3D pen - try the little pictures at the foot of the page. It's the black & white one. Sorry I can't post a link at the moment. I added it to my basket and it popped up saying 100% discount.

on the 3D pen page there is a red box at the right hand side saying 'add filament pack to basket'

Annwithnoe - what they don´t tend to have in America as far as I can tell is decent choclolate at all. My Aunt has lived over there for 50 years and is always in ecstasies in Europe. I send her one of these every now and again. I usually find one in Iceland for about 7 quid (but you´re in Ireland aren´t you?).

Have you ever tried Hersheys? She sent a bunch of American choclates over for our kids once and the kids couldn´t recognise any of it as choclate. It went uneaten - an unheard ofthing here.
