@WhyamIBoredathome at half price I was pleased with the box. It does seem pricey at full price , but I may get it from time to time when we are stuck in a food rut again. Given it included everything- even the rice etc I thought it wasn't bad. I have chosen things I wouldn't normally make and feel quite inspired.

The only downside (I got the four meal four person box) is I chose meat/ fish for each one which I wouldn't normally do as I felt it gave much better value. At around £6/7 a meal with meat for four of us (and there is loads so will do lunches next day as our kids are wee) I think it is worth it.

mrscrimbo that groupon for Starbucks is by invitation only. Shame.
whylam I've had gousto boxes before. Enjoyed the meals but I did think it was very expensive, if you payed full price. I got it on a groupon funnily enough why didn't they send me a Starbucks invitation? Angry

LostMyRubySlippers · 25/09/2017 17:27

I can't get the Starbucks on groupon either.. someone posted it on the last thread I think too. Thought I'd try my luck again today but still not working for me..

Jennywallpaper · 25/09/2017 18:02

Just received an email from toysrus for £10 off a £50 spend if you're a loyalty card holder

wishingchair1 · 25/09/2017 18:08

Tesco had some great deals on stationary for girls pen sets reduced from £4 to 50p etc. Lots you could split up for stockings etc.

Methenyouplus4 · 25/09/2017 18:44

I'm after about 30 small drawing pads/colouring books (for 5 year olds) if anyone spots any.

Reastie · 25/09/2017 19:00

Methenyou funnily enough I bought 20 small notebooks from Sainsbury's today reduced from I think £2 to 60p each in the sale. Going to use them for party bag bits for dd to go with the tinc stuff I bought. They also had nice metallic colouring pencils down from £2 to 60p and a few other bits.

SilverGiraffe7 · 25/09/2017 19:22

Methenyou - Baker Ross are pretty good for packs of notebooks.* I picked up gingerbread ones for my class there.*

Whatsername17 · 25/09/2017 19:26

Tesco have the shopkins Lego shopville thing at £35 apparently reduced from £70. I can't find it in any other shop full price. Is it a bargain?

SweetPeaPods · 25/09/2017 19:28

Any tips for the Argos 3 for 2?
Ds2's birthday is on 5th Oct and I'm not sure whether to play chicken and try and get his present in the 3 for 2 or just order it now! Do prices tend to go up or stay the same? Will I be lucky to get what I want?!

ShoppingBasket · 25/09/2017 19:33

Irish Smyths are starting their offer tomorrow, 10 off 50 and 20 off 100.

Haudyerwheesht you can order parts for Lego under their replacement bricks part of their shop online. I’ve ordered capes that have been torn for some of ds’ Minifigures before. They’re free and came really quickly. You’ll need a set number though but you do a quick search around their site to find a set with similar parts.

crumbsinthecutlerydrawer · 25/09/2017 20:01

*you can do

Matilda2013 · 25/09/2017 20:01

@sweetpeapods I tend to do a reservation for click and collect the day befor the 3 for 2. Then if the prices change and it's not worth it you don't have to pick up

TellMeItsNotTrue · 25/09/2017 20:17

Any ideas for a 6yr old boy, he likes football but has most football things you could think of, likes wrestling and outdoor activities

Autumnfieldsofgold · 25/09/2017 20:18

As I'm a techno virgin (ish) can a dot work perfectly well without Alexa or donyou really need both? Wondering about dots for my 3 dc 17,15,14 and the amazon £25 off if I buy 3 is pretty tempting!

SweetPeaPods · 25/09/2017 20:20

@matilda2013 thanks I'll set a reminder on phone

BanoffeePieIsMyFave · 25/09/2017 20:20

@TellMeItsNotTrue what about this outdoor adventure microscope from IWOOT? They've had it on their 3 for £18 a couple of times recently - currently 3 for £20

Haudyerwheesht · 25/09/2017 20:27

tellmelt what about the football training equipment in aldi? Training ladder £5.99 and cone hurdles £5.99.

TellMeItsNotTrue · 25/09/2017 20:27

Banoffee interesting, not something I would have thought of but I think it would be a hit (also just realised I should have put a price limit, Blush but this is under it anyway!) thankyou!

TellMeItsNotTrue · 25/09/2017 20:29

Haudyer sounds good, I will head out tomorrow Smile Thats my hardest to sort and look like he is done for Christmas and birthday now! Thankyou
