Thank you mammyaroundmadness. I've just ordered the Sylvanian treasure ship

ZIGGY911 · 24/09/2017 15:34

Helicopters were terrible, quality awful and can't use as a present.

Mrsmadevans · 24/09/2017 16:00

Apologies that should have read £4 for the tins of sweets in Morrisons. Also have a code for the book people TREAT40 for £5 off orders over £30 and £8 off orders over 40 offer ends midnight tonight sorry again if I am just repeating the offer

penstemon · 24/09/2017 16:05

I knew Amazon had delivered the Playmobil airport today. What I hadn't expected was for them to have left it tucked behind a pot plant by the front step with no packaging! Luckily, I spotted it first, hissed at DH to distract the DC and they're none the wiser. Quite close though

BayeauxT · 24/09/2017 16:23

For Sepsis upthread re Exploding Kittens... I bought the genuine one last year from Amazon at £££ and then a cheap £6 one from Ebay - I honestly could not tell them apart. Unfortunately my buying history doesn't go that far back so I can't tell you who the seller was.

Reastie · 24/09/2017 16:38

That metal detector looked ace. Dh has said he's always wanted one so would've been good for him and dd to mess about with but none in stock near me. If anyone else finds any good deals on metal detectors let me know Thanks

Hi Batty what is the brand on your flying helicopter ball thing? I want to see if I can order it from the internet.

Everyonelovessparkles · 24/09/2017 16:47

This thread moves fast, I had a look on the last few pages but couldn't see anything - elc / mothercare are doing 3 for 2 on all their own brand toys. Might be useful if you need a couple of big things??

OhHolyFuck · 24/09/2017 16:49

Hello everyone, was wondering if anyone had dobble at home? What ages would you say it would be ok for? DS1 will be very nearly 7 and ds2 will be 4.5 at Christmas, could they both play it? Thanks

NoWordForFluffy · 24/09/2017 16:51

I collected my Playmobil ambulance today, so we now have a set of the 3 main emergency services. 😁

d270r0 · 24/09/2017 16:54

Heres a link to see some of the lego christmas sets this year. Brickset Christmas 2017. And of course theres the wonderful Winter village lego christmas train and train station too.
I'd hazard a guess that the lego shop freebies will be the second one down, an 'advent calendar' similar to last years, and the ornament at the bottom.

Bdayblues · 24/09/2017 16:55

We have normal dobble, kids have all played it (at a competitive level Grin) from around age 5!

FoofFighter · 24/09/2017 17:17

@OhHolyFuck re Dobble we LOVE IT 😍

Last xmas we had from 3yo to 64yo all playing it and there's several different ways to play it too

tootsieglitterballs · 24/09/2017 17:39

You legend @BanoffeePieIsMyFave I'm on it! Hubby will absolutely LOVE that! He's obsessed with fruit & nut and we are both suckers for retro packaging!!

Cupoteap · 24/09/2017 17:40

Thanks guys but was more going from spending 80 on 1 ds to now over 300 for 2x 3ds's Blush

Haudyerwheesht · 24/09/2017 17:46

Enchantimals are reduced to £6.49 inI Argos and also on amazon

WheresTheCoffee · 24/09/2017 17:48

We picked up the metal detector this afternoon Reastie it works straight out of the box. It's worth keeping an eye on maplin, this is the second time I've seen this type of reduction from them. The first time I missed it!

scrappydappydoo · 24/09/2017 17:58

We love Dobble too and I was thinking about getting it for DN. However being the bargain hunter I noticed on eBay there is a game called Spot it that looks like Dobble even with the hand character but half the price - anyone know what the difference is?

Minster2012 · 24/09/2017 18:16

What's the difference between the kids dobble and the adults?

margaritasbythesea · 24/09/2017 18:17

d270r0 - thanks for the Christmas Lego link.

ZIGGY911 - That´s disappointing about the helicopters. It looked to me it was a brand called SYMA which gets reasonable reviews. I can´t seem to find an RC flying thing that is cheap and promising.

Is this the RC disco ball batty?

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 24/09/2017 18:18

Sainsburys have lots of sationery reduced. Some 15p stripe pencil cases from their panda range, lots of shopkins, minions stuff and a few more grown up bits, like notebooks. Was looking for the 7p panda stickers, but my store had sold out.

SockEatingMonster · 24/09/2017 18:21

@GinAndSonic wow, £37. Does he think children live on just fresh air and sunshine? Makes me so angry on your behalf. I hope Father Christmas brings him something suitably karmic. Like an STI maybe...

@ReindeerPoop I just discovered www.pricehistory.co.uk which can be used to search the price history of Argos items.

mammyaroundmadness · 24/09/2017 18:24

Monster high make up down to £5.99 from £15 on Amazon

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/09/2017 18:25

Scrappy I wondered this dobble is the European version and spot it the USA version. There are some differences with some of the cards apparently. According to the game geek website.
I'm going to get an uncle to buy it for dd and get the dobble version I think
