I've found this Lego city set in Argos, seems really good value for £20 and looks exactly the same as the exclusive to Asda one that's £35

Sogrowjo · 21/09/2017 10:32

Talking - my 6.5 year old is getting:
Hatchimal
Little live pets maze & an extra mouse
Little live pets turtle
Little live pets chick
Couple of lego sets
LOL doll
Beedos shopkins set
Trolls DVD

Her main and most wanted present is the hatchimal.

The older two are wanted more expensive techy and pandora (Hmm) things 😩

Apparently the little happyland people are 3for 2 at Mothercare so £4 for 3. Might be nice for advent calendars or stocking fillers. Free click and collect.

happyland

If giving DD a hand me down bike what about an awesome bike helmet to make it all fun. You get sone lovely ones now. I don't think Children mind at all until they are older. DD2 adores her big sister so loves her things still.

bluesky · 21/09/2017 11:10

Snapfish have extended their 40% off til Sunday!

£15 minimum spend

Use code 40OFF917

The photo cushion I ordered for the inlaws is lovely, really good quality as well as photo quality.

friskybivalves · 21/09/2017 11:17

Baddest that is a genius idea.* I still shudder at how long it took to wrap DD’s new bike in brown paper last Xmas. Have just bought the Xmas pudding bin bags.* Thanks!

Badders08 · 21/09/2017 11:18

You're welcome 😁🌲

friskybivalves · 21/09/2017 11:19

Redken I also love the sound of the Lego drone.** Is it the £27.99 one? If you have it, do you think it’s worth the money? There are no reviews that I can see and want to make sure the thing will actually fly!

friskybivalves · 21/09/2017 11:21

Apologies for random bold. No idea where that came from.

handsfree · 21/09/2017 11:26

I don't suppose anyone would like to refer me to Next would they?

TalkingOrmer · 21/09/2017 11:42

@HandsFree I can if you'd like to PM me your full name and email.

DillieDoily · 21/09/2017 11:43

Just bought some cheap dolls clothes on Ali Express which I'm hoping will fit Baby Annabell. I'm very excited about the Santa outfit!

my eldest son had a scooter. When he'd outgrown it I put it away, got it out to give to my second child as a gift from him. (he helped wrap it etc)

when my second outgrew it, we put it away. This summer I got it out, we wrapped it and my youngest child now has it (it was a gift from both of her big brothers...)

nothing wrong with doing that!

yumyumpoppycat · 21/09/2017 11:49

Hauder there are lots of snaps on my 7 year olds list and yours! I have just collected Barbie Chelsea club house which was on sale in asda and it looks quite cute (based on the box) it has a little lift on the side. It does heave the dreaded words Unassembled on it though. £15l

yumyumpoppycat · 21/09/2017 11:49

Chelsea clubhouse

drspouse · 21/09/2017 12:06

Did anyone get their Hotel Chocolat monthly box selections yet?

I realised we had these as a present from someone else recently (so I won't get it for them) and DH didn't really like them but there's a third couple who we usually get foody presents for who we haven't bought this for...

But it would be good to know the expiry date.

Oh and other ideas for foody presents!

drspouse · 21/09/2017 12:08

(Will be getting more coffee packs)

drspouse · 21/09/2017 12:08

(Aargh and drink is OK too but probably not a full case).

Equimum · 21/09/2017 12:10

Does anyone know if there are ever good discounts on VTech switch & go dinosaurs, please? DS1 has just spotted them in the Smyths catalogue and is now desperate for some. He loves both dinos and transformers, so they will go down well, by tI hate spending much on plasticky things.

NotPennysBoat · 21/09/2017 12:12

My coffee arrived today! It's a decent size for £2 and smells divine!

To whoever was 'regifting' the bike - we did the same for DD2 this summer, but bought some cheap streamers, a basket for the front and a dolly seat for the back!! Neither child even mentioned it used to be DD1's bike!

Not sure it's officially Christmassy, but I'm on the lookout for miniature Baileys (the pocket sized ones) and definitely not Christmassy - the limited edition Peanut Butter Twixs (Twixes? Twixii??). I've looked in Sainsburys and Tesco and haven't been able to track them down yet!!

tiggersdontlikehoney · 21/09/2017 12:21

not pennys it's a good sized bag is't it?

This morning DD (will be 4 at Christmas) informed me she wants a Unicorn for Christmas. What kind of Unicorn? I asked.. A Flying Unicorn mummy...

Am looking for a nice cake set - like this look of this but not at £28:

www.amazon.co.uk/Tidlo-High-Shape-Matching-Cupcake/dp/B004LWZ5H6/ref=sr_1_36?ie=UTF8&qid=1505992679&sr=8-36&keywords=play+cake+set&tag=mumsnetforum-21

drspouse · 21/09/2017 12:22

I've hidden my coffee in the wardrobe and haven't taken it out of the cardboard sleeve - what's the use by date on yours?

MrsCrimbo74 · 21/09/2017 12:28

tiggersdontlikehoney Flying Unicorn £9.99 at the Entertainer was £34.99 it's pre-order only get in quick

BanoffeePieIsMyFave · 21/09/2017 12:34

@tiggersdontlikehoney what about this in Asda? Or this in Jojo Maman Bebe?

wornoutboots · 21/09/2017 12:35

I've asked my 7 year old what he wants.. he hasn't listed anything that's under £40 and we're skint!
it's all games for consoles we don't have, and the consoles to play them on.

We're skint, I've warned him that we're going to have a lot less presents this year but obviously he thinks that expensive games are more important than paying the morgage and feeding the family.

(the 5 and 2 year olds are happy with whatever, as far as I can tell.)

What cheap things do your 7 year old boys want?
When I was a kid, 7 year old boys were playing with action man and star wars figures, or were outside but he just looked at me like I was mad when I mentioned it...

tiggersdontlikehoney · 21/09/2017 12:41

Can't see a date on my coffee, but have already thrown the outer sleeve away so maybe it was on there somewhere. It just has packed/sent dates. Doubt it's going to make it til Christmas, it smells too good!

Thanks for the links Grin
