Fantastic ideas, thank you so much. I'm such a forward planner it will be hard to hold my nerve until after Christmas but it's the sensible thing to do.

imsorryiasked · 18/09/2017 20:56

John Lewis has the Paw Patrol Weebles Seal Island down to £14.99

Ilikesweetpeas · 18/09/2017 21:02

Does anyone have any suggestions for an 11 year old boy, he's in year 7. Looking to spend about £10-15. I have no idea!!

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 18/09/2017 21:10

nigella on pinterest people make snow men with marshmallows, pretzels for arms and icing for their faces. Could be an activity or for party bags 😀

boredofmyoldname · 18/09/2017 21:16

Lots of people on HDUK saying they're getting confirmation of fire engine only to have it cancelled later so keep an eye on your emails.

Carrie76 · 18/09/2017 21:18

20% off on www.whistles.com

Redken24 · 18/09/2017 21:19

Does anyone remember the laser cut signs from last year? I'm trying to find as it would be a good add on.

totallyLosingIt · 18/09/2017 21:20

@Tickyboovicki I am SO sorry. Shortly after sending that message this morning I went into labour! Still waiting to be discharged from the hospital with our little bundle, and don't have the codes with me! I hope you've managed to get a code elsewhere now though.

busyprocrastinating · 18/09/2017 21:21

I tried earlier to order the fire engine and it said out of stock. I just went to put on a stick alert and managed to order one. Hopefully my order won't be cancelled as it is on the top of ds Christmas list.

Tattybogle89 · 18/09/2017 21:22

Don't know if the fire engine 🚒 was being bought for less than £20?! As I cannot have anymore playmobil in my house or I will cry.
But both Tescos near me had plenty stock instore at £20 if it.

Also, I spoke to the manager at Smyths toy store today (as the predicted 20% off everything date had passed) and he said there is a 'big event' happening in the next couple of weeks.. that may. It be 20% off , but keep an eye out online and it they expect a big turnout?! Whatever that means.. he wouldn't give any more info!

boredofmyoldname · 18/09/2017 21:22

@ilikesweetpeas, not bargainous but in budget and £14.99 at Smyth's I got my 11 year old a Starcube puzzle.

It looks pretty cool, he likes fidgetty strange little things so I'm hoping it goes down well. If not I can't wait to get my hands on it :o

busyprocrastinating · 18/09/2017 21:22

Stock alert- not stick!

Tattybogle89 · 18/09/2017 21:23

@totallyLosingit Flowers congratulations 😁

christmasunicorn · 18/09/2017 21:23

Congratulations @totallyLosingIt Flowers

PosyBoo · 18/09/2017 21:24

Ilikesweetpeas I have 2 nephews this age and although I sounds a bit rubbish they are always most grateful of cash/iTunes voucher. I tend to buy a small something and wrap a £10/£20 note around it. For example I've done a bundle of their favourite chocolate bars wrapped in a note with a big bow. Or a note around a jack wills body wash ect. It's taken me years of stressing (I also have a 15year old nephew) worrying that they'll think I don't care and haven't bothered to get to this point. They know I care, they don't need some rubbish gadget that will be put in the back of a cupboard and forgotten to prove it.

boredofmyoldname · 18/09/2017 21:25

Oh wow Congratulations @totallylosingit, admiring your commitment here:o

VinoTime · 18/09/2017 21:25

Congrats totally Flowers

I was in Pound World today and they had a big display full of American candy. I managed to pick up boxes of Nerds and Everlasting Gobstoppers for a £1 each for DD's stocking - very cheap compared to some of the prices I've seen for American imports in the past. They had loads of emoji and unicorn tat in as well that would be great for small stocking fillers. Picked madam up an emoji mug.

Butterfly scarf arrived from Twinkle Deals! Waiting for DD to stop faffing about and actually go to bed so that I can take a picture take a look at it!

SimplyNigella · 18/09/2017 21:26

Snow marshmallows- fantastic idea!

PosyBoo · 18/09/2017 21:28

Having said all that.....the star cube puzzle does look very cool Grin

winewolfhowls · 18/09/2017 21:28

Hope you have gone with a suitably festive name?

LostMyRubySlippers · 18/09/2017 21:32

redken its lasersmith for the wooden signs. I ordered from them last year & planning to order more things this year

nigella I was going to suggest marshmallow snowmen too - we went to a Frozen party years ago & they had little 'do you wanna make a snowman' kits in the party bags that were v cute

LostMyRubySlippers · 18/09/2017 21:33

And congratulations totally

SimplyNigella · 18/09/2017 21:33

I need to buy some marshmallows now to experiment on for research and tasting purposes Grin

Redken24 · 18/09/2017 21:36

SimplyNigella · 18/09/2017 21:44
