My fruit is soaking for my puddings, ocado sent no lids for my pudding basins so I need to locate some cheap 1 pint pudding basins with lids.

I'm picking up the HGP on kitchen week, my kitchen cupboards have never actually been emptied.

Woolly - thanks, needed some external validation :) I am going to put them in homemade gift card wallets so they are personal :) Good point about the soft drink offers, I could do with stocking up on a few of those too. Nice for the children to have some fizz on christmas day :)

NoWordForFluffy · 15/10/2017 15:10

I got some half price Schloer the other week from Sainsbury's, along with a load of snack food which I mainly paid for using Nectar points.

We've spent loads of them recently, but Swipe and Win took us back over £100.00 which is a figure I find strangely comforting! I'll spend most of them before Christmas, I think though, what with the booze double up in November, which I love plus the fresh food still to buy.

FridgeCut · 15/10/2017 17:56

Ooh I think I have some Tesco vouchers I can spend on Heroes and bits, I always forget about those. No idea how my nectar balance is, I am mostly Ocado or Aldi. Tesco I use for fuel so they just add up in the background.

I've booked a second Christmas delivery slot for ocado, the 20th December. That one is free but still need a £90 minimum spend. Closer to the time I will work out what I am buying and how long it needs to last. Most of mine is stuff I think actually I could get a little sooner. I might do a meal plan for the week before and week after Christmas and go from there.

£100 of nectar points is brilliant, we always used to get lots and save them for Christmas.

NoWordForFluffy · 15/10/2017 18:19

We've done well this year with Nectar points. I've already spent about £80 worth this year. It's worth having insurance with them as you get double points on your shopping while you have a policy. I also sign up to their regular double / bonus points promotions, and they send vouchers to delivery pass holders a fair bit.

In contrast we've only managed £17 in Clubcard vouchers all year! We'll convert them to Pizza Express vouchers for a visit near Christmas. 😁

FridgeCut · 15/10/2017 18:29

I feel pleased to have £6.50 in clubcard points :)

NoWordForFluffy · 15/10/2017 18:42

That's better than nothing! 😁

Mrsmadevans · 15/10/2017 19:34

I managed to get RAC membership for the 3 of us in the house from Mr T using my clubcard points and they have a new thing this year where you can pay the extra if you haven't enough points. I was so pleased!
Been busy last couple of days so not been on here, weather going to be bad tomoz by the looks of it , be careful everyone .

FridgeCut · 15/10/2017 20:11

Have you lot heard of Hema? Just bought some christmas bits from there as they gave me £5 off a £20 spend and free delivery over £20 and 15% off today. www.hemashop.com/gb/ Definitely worth a look.

70
That's only 10 weeks away!

Sitting at the airport waiting for a flight - DH working at home as all schools closed, and my offices are closed, due to hurricane Ophelia! Airport calm though just yet.

I could have done with a day off

NoWordForFluffy · 16/10/2017 06:23

Will you get back ok later, Biddy? And do you have your cards with you to write?!

I need to write my 'home' cards this week as we are off down south this weekend, so I'll get those done to take with me.

Minster2012 · 16/10/2017 08:39

It was still dark this morning when we got up at 6! Weird as it was summer weather yesterday! I need to ramp up Christmas card buying & ensuring we have enough crockery etc for Christmas!

BiddyPop · 16/10/2017 08:51

Tonight, I get to go from Warsaw to Brussels, having got up at 3am, I touch down at 11pm and make my way to my hotel! Not back home until tomorrow night TG.

No cards as I have Scouts and a school committee paperwork to do. Cards are for next week's trip🤶🏻

Mrsmadevans · 16/10/2017 09:11
