Today is my wedding anniversary. I will be spending the day in my crappy job. But we are going 'out out' for drinks tomorrow night, so that's something (though normally a child is ill when we plan such things!).

Gosh that's a lot of house guests Katie :) Lots of very knowledgeable people on here though. We are having 5 guests from the 23rd to Boxing day

Unfortunately noone lives close enough for a day visit :( Basically am either prepping in advance and freezing or buying from M&S and shoving stuff in the oven. Have already told everyone I am not doing the washing up

Absolutely knackered to day had a horrible night's sleep last night as a result of my grandfather going into hospital suddenly with heart stuff...
He has v.low blood pressure normally anyway and his heart was beating too fast, GP took one look at him and sent him to A&E. He is home now and seeing a heart specialist today.

I am busy getting stuff done for Christmas had a Tesco order last night full of special offers for Christmas just have to divide it up into the Christmas bags now . Had a look at the star gift from Boots but it is not as good a deal as I thought it would be so not for me this year.

I have decided that wonky buttonholes on a baby cardigan are fashionable. I just need to see on 5 buttons at lunch, and then post it to DDad today so it will arrive before he closes his case on Tuesday. And I have to buy a card for fm for him to bring too as I ran out of time to make the one I planned and all that stuff is at home.

I just found this picture on an Air BNB listing and thought it might give you ladies a giggle... it's in France, so I wouldn't have thought they were completely unaware...

It is quite a lot. My mum and dad, two brothers and their partners, my husband and our four kids!. We're trying to do an old fashioned Christmas so will see how that works out!.

Ikea have their Christmas stuff in! I bought some really nice paper bags to put fudge in. I was really chuffed as they sent me a £15 voucher to spend, no minimum spend! Felt like stealing :)

I'm hungover! We went out for drinks last night. I am regretting it today (and hoping DD forgets we should be swimming!).

I think I might have finished my Christmas food shopping. I'm wracking my brain for anything I can buy in advance that I haven't already. Another couple of boxes of naice chocolates and I will stock up on some cleaning bits but otherwise I really think it is complete. Which is great as my bills will go back down to normal :)

I've also finished it, Fridge, aside from the fresh stuff.

I'm going to do my Christmas order soon, and just keep pushing it back until the delivery slots for 23rd open up (Sainsbury's).

I'm hoping the family will be happy enough this year, we have decided to give people gift vouchers and homemade fudge. I've covered off all the parents today (three sets), two sets are getting £50 theatre tokens and one £50 national garden centres. Hoping it doesn't come across as impersonal, just tired of making a lot of effort and it being off the mark.

I'm waiting for the supermarkets to start the offers on soft drinks like J2O, Schloer and Appletiser. I've got a couple of bottles/cans in the garage with my Pringles stash but definitely need more. I'll bake my cake this week and I was discussing puddings with DH this morning.

That sounds great Fridge. I'd be delighted with theatre tokens.
