lifelongfrugaleer · 24/08/2017 20:14

vino or whoever is it the whole set you get for £6.19 I'm confused

Llamacorn · 24/08/2017 20:16

Thanks very much margaritas those ones on eBay look quite good, they look kind of similar to k'nex is that right?
She has with the brio construction before and don't think she really liked it, have never heard of zoobs before! I did see they are doing a coding Lego this year but I don't know if she will be too young for it.

vino I was one of the idiots last year who bought the real unicorn brushes for my dd - I was on a waiting list for ages and payed a stupid amount and they aren't really anything special tbh, and quite scratchy! Think I'll buy the 'fake' mermaid ones for her younger sister this year to see how she gets on and how they compare, unfortunately my 15yr old dd is a bit of a make up snob so can't get away with things like that for her!

WreckTangled · 24/08/2017 20:19

I still can't get the Converse code to work Sad

RJnomore1 · 24/08/2017 20:21

The works have one of those light box message doo dahs for £8 in the sale

PamelaEwing · 24/08/2017 20:22

Doh Vinci by play doh - Take anywhere art studio kit. £5.99

Complete art set with an easel, 4 Deco Pop tubes and a DohVinci Styler you can use to decorate the 3 art boards.

VinoTime · 24/08/2017 20:35

lifelong they do a lot of different sets at different prices. I bought 11 piece #4 from the dropdown menu and the whole set was £6.19. If you select different ones from the menu, it should display a picture of the set you've selected and the price.

VinoTime · 24/08/2017 20:39

Llamacorn I was on the email waiting list thingy for them last year but I didn't manage to get any!

There was a poster who asked about makeup bags for the brushes - I found some metallic/holographic ones in Peacocks the other day that match the brush style brilliantly. DD was with me so I couldn't get one at the time, but I'll post a picture of them the next time I'm in.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/08/2017 21:00

Thanks vino

NextInLine · 24/08/2017 21:03

I've just ordered the colour your own playhouse from hobbycraft that Tiggles posters.
I used deciding code: 58TPDCP2
took 20% off making it £20 with free delivery. My boys will happy with it I think.
Also ordered a wire wreath frame to make my own wreath this year 😄

Tickyboovicki · 24/08/2017 21:38

Carrie76 · 24/08/2017 21:46

@wrecktangled the converse code didn't work for me for a while either. I didn't have enough information in the address line, I put only my house number in the first line after ages of trying i put the street name in there and it worked. Don't know if that helps!

SideOrderofSprouts · 24/08/2017 21:48

We have unicorn, mermaid and Harry Potter
Wand brushes in my house. All off eBay. All
Brilliant

RJnomore1 · 24/08/2017 21:54

I've given in and ordered the unicorn brushes.

Baaaaa

penstemon · 24/08/2017 21:56

Thank you margarita for the Playmags recommendation. I have had my eye on those for years but could never really afford a big set and thought the little ones looked a bit dull. That's DD's birthday present sorted!

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 24/08/2017 22:12

Just ordered from Superdrug , DH wants Paco Rabanne 100ml millionaire for xmas. I priced it up everywhere and then thought of Superdrug. They have 20 % off for members of their beautycard. They have a lot of perfume 20% off if anyone is interested. I saved nearly 10 pounds on the lowest price elsewhere . It is one of his main pressie so I splash out on it because he loves it .

margaritasbythesea · 24/08/2017 22:49

penstemon - I hope they are good. They've got great reviews.

Isadora - the straws aren't like Knex at all really. They let them build really big stuff. It depends if you r dd would like that. There is currently a five or six foot letter h resting against our house which D's built to welcome a friend called Hannah home. DS and DD built it this afternoon and I helped them get it up against the wall. It doesn't come out every day but it's always fun when it does.

margaritasbythesea · 24/08/2017 22:50

Not good for building forts though, which is what I had in mind when I bought them.
