I've just ordered an emoji advent calendar for DD.

MelinaMercury · 12/08/2017 21:52

Ooh, found you all again. Phew! :o

Annwithnoe · 12/08/2017 22:01

Not sure if it's been mentioned already but prezzybox have some nice bits and pieces in their clearance section.

Is it really bad that I'm considering a chocolate willy mould for DH? He's really, really hard to buy for Confused

Annwithnoe · 12/08/2017 22:06

cos I know you really want to see it

Duchessofealing · 12/08/2017 22:06

lost if you go to www.poundland.co.uk and search beer you can see them - you can also find your nearest store - hope this helps

Methenyouplus4 · 12/08/2017 22:41

Eldest DS is after a Levis t-shirt (type with just name written on front) in white with red writing- Thinking Very/ La Redoute etc sometimes have code for spend a certain amount&get stuff half price?

Any other options?

QueenofallIsee · 12/08/2017 22:59

I am going with stockings from Ali as well, thanks!

PicardsCombOver · 12/08/2017 23:00

Did somebody mention that they were looking for Moshi Monster stuff? 'Half Cost' have single bed sets for £3.99 and watches for girls. It was there 20 mins ago but I cant link!

MooPointCowsOpinion · 12/08/2017 23:07

Christmasunicorn we've just bought our two Moana obsessed kids a heart of tefiti necklace each, it was £10 but it was out of stock almost everywhere, Disney store and Argos both completely sold out, but we found two left in tesco.

They are so cute, they open and light up with the heart inside. I would hazard a guess they will sell out quickly over Xmas.

They also had Moana activity book with 12 figures inside and a play mat, under £5, they've played with them constantly.

MooPointCowsOpinion · 12/08/2017 23:11

I visited Argos clearance today, got a large BB8 teddy for £5 (£30 in disney store, £35 in John Lewis), that my youngest had her eye on when we were in the Disney Store last week. They also had pink cupcake moshi monsters holder said with 10 monsters in for 99p, down from £10, I got one for an upcoming birthday party.

Also saw lots of Lego, playdoh, doh Vinci, and my husband became very worried when I dropped everything I was carrying and went back out to fetch a trolley...!

It's never usually this good in there, I'm going back tomorrow for a ready bed for £10 for my eldest, she's been asking for one for ages.

If only they had heelies or clip on heel wheels, anyone seen those for a good price?

wobblywonderwoman · 12/08/2017 23:19

Could someone advise me.. We have got our two boys (aged three) a basic paw patrol vehicle each. Remote control hot wheels cars. Dinosaurs. Stocking fillers.

So for their birthdays before Christmas they are getting an elc castle with knights etc. The other is getting a Paw Patrol Lookout.

On the whole they have plenty. The usual stuff. Trains, dressing up box, puppets and garage etc.

But I don't want to fill the house with stuff either but still they are so small they love 'big toys' (obviously)

Do I get them scooters - ideally I would like to stretch to the 3 in one micro scooter and a cheaper on (maybe paw patrol) as at least they will use them outside.

Or do I get a trampoline ?

One of them is fascinated with a playmobil set - sorry for rant. Just if anyone had good ideas. I would appreciate it.

Steph999999 · 12/08/2017 23:33

Methenyouplus4 Swindon and Gloucester have Levi outlets which may have what you are after. There may be others around the country so could be worth a goggle if neither of those are local to you.

MooPointCowsOpinion · 12/08/2017 23:45

Wobbly I think of playmobil as an investment as they play with it for years, we got the farm set when DD(6) was 2 and it's still played with equally by both our girls, at 2 and 6.

Eldest has just grown out of her first scooter, and she's had it 3 years and used it regularly. It's a good toy.

I'm not a fan of trampolines, so I would definitely go with playmobil that packs away small and scooters that can live in the garage.

wobblywonderwoman · 13/08/2017 00:23

That is great to hear it is still used at 6. Thanks so much. moopoint
I think winter or summer they would use playmobil.

Annwithnoe · 13/08/2017 00:42

picard thanks for the moshi tipSmile

wobbly I'd steer clear of the trampoline for a while yet. We get great mileage out of ours but I waited til they had grown enough sense that I don't have to stand over them on itHmm. I'd opt for the scooters.

Haudyerwheesht · 13/08/2017 01:00

You're here! For a while I thought everyone had forgotten about Christmas for the day - as if!

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 13/08/2017 01:08

I'm buckled tae fuck, so marking my place tae swatch later

LostMyRubySlippers · 13/08/2017 07:07

Duchess thanks Flowers

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 13/08/2017 07:10

Wobbly also a resounding yes for playmobil. My ds got the zoo set when he was 3 and still plays with it multiple times a week. You can also buy extra enclosures and animal families to add to it, so I've got him some extras of these to go in his stocking this year.

I've also bought him some new playmobil sets this year which were really good value in Argos, they were mentioned on the last thread - a police van and a knight set, both of them around £10 or less I think, which is excellent value. And I plan to buy him the knight castle as his main gift.

(If this sounds like a lot of stuff it's because his birthday is also 5 days before Christmas Grin)

Amazon also have the police helicopter for a good price atm, around £8-9. It's in my basket and I'm trying to resist it...

imip · 13/08/2017 07:16

Yes, I'd hold off the trampoline also, but scooters will be a fabulous investment! 3 is the perfect age. Get the micro scooter.

Maybe just start with a little bit of play mobile? See how it goes. I've got 4 primary dds, and while they've liked playmobile, it's not used even weekly. Dd4 would use lego weekly, however.

Methenyouplus4 · 13/08/2017 07:42

We have micro Scooters which they love, bought second hand off local selling pages for between £10-£15 each in great condition. Ideal as not worried about scratches etc as didn't pay £££.

Just stuck a big bow on and they were too young to realise they weren't new.

AllTheWittyNamesAreGone · 13/08/2017 07:42

Chocolate Willy mould- for the man who has everything

Nearlyadoctor · 13/08/2017 08:02

Wobbly Dd is now 10 and still plays with her Playmobil, admittedly its sporadic but as others have said a good investment cost per play so to speak.
With regard to scooters at 3 they're probably a little big already for the 3 in 1 micro scooter. I would suggest the normal mini micro scooter, I've just bought one for my nephew who will be nearly 3 at Christmas £51.40 from Smyths in their 20% off event or Micro scooters have a launch offer of free helmet with each scooter worth approx £27. Dd had a Maxi micro and then a micro sprite - money well spent!

DumbledoresArmy · 13/08/2017 08:14

Just to add.
I bought some Thunderbirds toys in our Home Bargains the other day.
X1 full set of the vehicles for £9.99. Priced up & these are £20 on sale at Tesco & Amazon etc!

Also I bought the Thunderbirds 2, the green 1 with the yellow submarine. For £4.99!!

They're all good quality & make noises etc.

tootsieglitterballs · 13/08/2017 08:18

Anyone seen the Christmas rubber ducks anywhere for a reasonable price?
