Getting stuck back into life again here. Definitely has an autumn chill to the air here, although the rain has gone away again for today.

Yesterday, I picked up some suncream in Boots (I needed some water resistant stuff anyway) and grabbed some aftersun as well to get a "Cars 2" water bottle for free for DNephew. Nice bargain.

Fluffy, I asked in M&S today and was told the book would be out in mid-September (there was definitely a shift to autumn/winter season going on in general).

I must go back into the C4 player to watch GBBO, I entirely forgot last night (I was deep into cleaning up the study). I might do it tonight while tackling the room again (it's really really bad!). DH asked me to do a room swop on the HGP !

I've just managed to get something spectacular for DD1 Ed Sheeran tix but knowing DH he'll want to give her them as a graduation present.

Mid-September, Biddy?! Talk about taking their time. Grrrrr! I want to plan!

Ooooo glad to hear @nickdrakeslovechild, and happy to help, I am very much looking forwards to it (also bought 2x Christmas t shirts today & Christmas jumper!) so very pleased they are good!!

DM is considering going to Australia to visit family next year, so that may mean the most difficult present of the year is taken care of as we'll buy her ticket together.
I'm hoping against hope that DH and I will have a lovely positive pregnancy test before Christmas so we'll do small presents to save money.
Which only leaves a couple family presents, but I get the parents to tell me what to buy the kids.
And all that means that I'll be able to concentrate alllll my effort on a beautiful house!

M&S had their Christmas cards and wrap in today. I didn't have time for a proper look, but it's all very exciting!

DD2 is Christmas online shopping. So far she has bought herself and DS Christmas bedding and is currently googling matching family PJs. Can't wait to see DH in a candy striped onesie.

She has also bought DS the DanTDM DVD - if you place your order today you get a signed copy. DS will explode with joy

DD1 is home later today for at least the next year. I will explode with joy.

They're all back to school now in my house so I feel properly on the road to Christmas now. I can shop for presents now without having to use my myriad stealth, distraction and sleight of hand skills!
I started sorting through my gift box and discovered lots that I had forgotten so I need to update my list.
I think I love this time of year best. There's all the joy of planning, before the pressure of time kicks in, and I love having all these lovely little secrets!

DS goes back to preschool on Monday (I can apply for his school place from tomorrow!) and DD starts school on Thursday next week sob

I think next year will be the one for proper stealth requirement in our house. DD is definitely curious / suspicious this year; I doubt anything will get past her next year! 😂

Yes Sprout. I watched a YouTube clip thanks DS of the great man himself pledge to sign every copy ordered in 31/8.

I wonder if we need to send up the bat signal to other parents? Surely their DC have been banging on for days about it but I'd hate anyone to miss out. DS loves his signed copy of Dan's book.

Dantdm is a youtuber that plays games and kids for some reason like watching him. Especially on minecraft

Thanks for the head's up about the DanTDM DVD. My 5 year old has been following him for about 3 years and will be made up with a signed DVD.
