I need to

Panic buy another present for my mum
Panic over what I'm going to wear on Christmas Day
Finish icing the cake (it's marzipanned already)
Clean the bathroom
Clean the kitchen
Make up the spare room bed
Finalise the Tesco order coming tomorrow
Get turkey and beef from Costco (dh job)
Make lasagna for Christmas Eve
Make pear and cranberry pies

It doesn't sound too awful but with a 5 and 2 year old constantly underfoot I'm getting nowhere fast!

A million other things that I've forgotten.....

Also, decide if I'm going to get ds5 some aquaneads because for the last few days that's all he's been asking for even though he's never mentioned them until a week ago!

And all on a hangover while looking after the kids!! It was my works do last night!

Today is the big clean up, tomorrow is food shopping for my mum as she is working right up until Christmas Day, also need to do emergency shop after realising that I haven't got any wrapping paper for my DS presents and will probably end up buying him more stuff as I have the itch!

Tidy the house then Christmas eve morning buy milk eggs and bread rolls.
I have a parcel being delivered tomorrow with presents to wrap but that won't take long.
Both dds have got a wooden kitchen to share I need to put that together Christmas eve night as it looks to bulky to do now and bring down made up. I have awkward stairs .

Pick up the turkey from local farm
Buy turkey foil and nice pate
Make bread sauce in advance

Lots of collections; gifts, food, a couple of duvets.

Last bits of wrapping. But mostly done.

Bake in about 5 mins, last food shop tonight then done! This is unheard of and I'm sure I've forgotten something!!!

Clean the house. I started yesterday but the dc trashed what I'd done which resulted in a very stressed out me shouting last night before packing them to bed early.
Food shop. I don't make the dinner so that's not too bad but I have nothing in at all.
Find another present for dp
Pick up my prescriptions

This doen't sound much but I have sciatica and have just woken up with horrendous stomach cramps and queasiness that I'm hoping to God isn't the start of something.

Lots! I haven't got my head around it yet as I gave a big party last night and that filled my headspace entirely for the past four days. On the bright side, all the flowers are arranged, candles out, glass/silver/china out of storage - I quite like giving a big party a few days ahead of Christmas as it forces me to get guest-ready ahead of time.

Oh yes I need to and buy a selection of cheeses and pate as well as I'm Not ordering them online

Tidy and clean up the living room. I have two small children, so this is a never-ending task.
Wrap the last presents. May need some more wrapping paper for this.
Write cards.
Bake cookies. Christmas eve job with the DDs.
Change the bedding.

I think that's it. Probably ought to grab some extra milk, loo roll and nappies.

• feel very organised this year, but as went down with d&v Christmas Eve last year ( with 11 houseguests to cater for, and no one else so much as made a cup of tea) I think I'm over compensating to make sure everything's done. I also keep worrying that's there's still time for someone to get ill!!! Never crossed my mind in previous years but this year I'm paranoid !

Clean the shit out of the house
Alcohol run

Order some books on Amazon.
Go to the shops for presents for dh and Pil.
Run around with a vacuum cleaner.
Vaguely tidy dc's bedroom to make space for more stuff.
Make stuffing.
Prep vegetables.
Wrap a few presents.

I'm trying not to think about it but this is my to do list:
Clean the bathroom
Clean the kitchen (floor mainly )
Vacuum and dust all downstairs
Washing and putting clothes away
Food shop
Pop in to the city for a couple of last minute presents.
Strip and remake beds.

I'm now off to bury my head in the sand again!

I've got to;

Get myself down to Tesco between 11am & 1pm for my Click & Collect slot.
Possibly go to Morrisons for anything out of stock at Tesco (see above).
Clean bathrooms (why is this a Christmas related job?)

Then that is it.

Makes a change from my usual disorganised state!

And once the shopping delivery arrives, make stuffing and braised red cabbage.

Oh and, OP, Aquabeads are very fiddly and have a huge potential to get bloody everywhere!

DD (also 5) had some for her birthday. We've made a couple of things with them but she can't really get the beads into the little holes that accurately yet. I'd say it was better suited to a slightly older child. Unless you have a very patient & well co-ordinated 5 year old I suppose.

I've been thinking that re the aquabeads - my 5 year old is actually pretty good at that kind of thing but the two year old would also be doing his best to get his hands on them....
I'm sure he will be distracted enough by the rest of his presents!

All the food shopping on Christmas Eve morning. Prep food for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Put out snacking food for the family.

Unpack the essential rooms (moved house on Monday)
Collect the Christmas food shop
Buy DNieces gifts
Buy DNana birthday card and gift
Buy lotto tickets to slip inside adult relatives Christmas cards (cheapskate due to house move)

Oh and work 12 hour shifts today and tomorrow, followed by a 6 hour shift of Christmas eve.
Think I should start panicking yet?

pray that turkey arrives
pray that last minute ebay purchase arrives to be collected in argos (not looking hopeful)
assemble mahoosive main present for DC. Think this is going to take about 3 hours...
put the dining room back together after last weekend's frantic decorating session
hang the wreath on the main gates which has been sitting in the hallway for a week.

I'm knackered just looking at the list.
