So, what's left on your Christmas to do list??

I need to

Panic buy another present for my mum
Panic over what I'm going to wear on Christmas Day
Finish icing the cake (it's marzipanned already)
Clean the bathroom
Clean the kitchen
Make up the spare room bed
Finalise the Tesco order coming tomorrow
Get turkey and beef from Costco (dh job)
Make lasagna for Christmas Eve
Make pear and cranberry pies

It doesn't sound too awful but with a 5 and 2 year old constantly underfoot I'm getting nowhere fast!

A million other things that I've forgotten.....

Wrap all the presents., will wrap two of the D.C.'s tonight. Then tomorrow as tradition will wrap everything else. And if previous years are anything to go by, the two dd's will wrap a couple of theirs

Write gift voucher cards
Assemble gingerbread train
Declutter and clean everything
Make beds for guests
Start to enjoy.... just finished work and I'm not feeling it yet!

Iron and put new curtains up
Tidy round
Wrap few presents
Wash xmas dress tights
Get raspberrys for pavlova
Make pavlova and trifle

I've got to run the hoover round the living room wash up a few pots and get my nails and eyebrows done and dd is getting her hair and nails done. Then movie time with a big tub of popcorn waiting for belle (princess from beauty and the beast) to come for a vist.

Are the majority of you single parents or something? You don't have to do all this. Delegate!!! don't martyr yourselves.

And if you are a single parent, cut yourselves some slack.

That's true Libitina, but I'm not sure DH would make a very good job of my nails; I've had more practice than him...

LBOCS2 maybe you could start teaching him now in time for next Christmas?

He does a good all-black polish (he was a teenage goth) but I've got snowflakes. This is advanced level nail art. And he is a teensy bit ham fisted, I've already had to tell him off for bouncing the sofa!
