Thread 20 - I want a present shitting log

Nope, I have no idea what a present shitting log is either.

See post 2 for links etc and note the addition of a link with more info to the mn Christmas appeal, a very good cause if you're looking to donate to charity this Christmas time.

Anyone lookibg for a useful extra present for people (or indeed as a good teacher present Symphony), I've just bought some really nice reusable shopping bags from Mia Tui (miatui.com) and having got them and realised how useful they are, I've just put another order in for some more to give to my mum, sister and aunt.

They're the sort of thin shopping bag that you can fold up into themselves to have in your handbag, they're big enough to go on your shoulder but short enough so they don't drag on the floor if you hold the handles in your hand.

However where they differ from the normal cheap ones you get from the supermarket is that inside they are split into two halves plus there is a large zipped section across the entire middle which means that if you want a really light bag to go out there's a safe section in it that you can put your purse and phone etc in. And it means you can be a bit organised while out so have your stuff on one side and your dc's stuff on the other, or your book and jumper on one side and shopping on the other, and so on.

They're really nicely made, nice and strong. And only £5 each or 3 for £12 including postage (there's a code on the product page). At £4 each they make a great present (and light and easy for a young dc to take into school compared with a mug or bottle of wine!)

The company also makes nice reasonably sized and brilluantly featured handbags (they won an award for best baby changing bag recently to add to their collection of awards) - I'm not anything to do with them other than being a satisfied repeat customer who happens to come from the same town!

Has anyone ever bought one of the photo charms that fit on Pandora bracelets? My MIL has one and I was going to get one for her with a photo of DD but the reviews from the 2 sites I've looked at are a bit hit and miss!

Asked at end of last thread, but I'll try again, are there any M&S codes still around? Would love to get DSis a cashmere jumper, but at £75 it's well over our usual budget. Thanks

Help! Need a present for DH, got him concert tickets (for tonight) but babysitter has fallen through an we can't go. I've bought him a couple of tshirts and a book. He's into craft beer, but makes his own so beer is probably a no no.

GinAndSonic · 08/12/2016 16:31

Checking in

IAmAPaleontologist · 08/12/2016 16:45

That's it! I'm done! Dd's birthday had been lost in the post finally arrived yesterday. I have wrapped everything, I have the birthday stash, the Christmas stuff, the stocking presents in labelled bags. Everything is done except some yarn bowls that I need to pick up from a local potter but he wanted to keep the ones he'd made for me to display at some local fairs. He only lives down the road so I'll get them when he's done all his Christmas selling Xmas Smile

NotSoNewNow · 08/12/2016 16:52
