GodReastieMerryGentlemen · 08/12/2016 12:27

Nope, I have no idea what a present shitting log is either.

See post 2 for links etc and note the addition of a link with more info to the mn Christmas appeal, a very good cause if you're looking to donate to charity this Christmas time.

margaritasbythesea · 09/12/2016 09:42

Lapin your link to the cardboard houses isn't working for me. Where are they from please?

neddle · 09/12/2016 09:43

Someone mentioned buying a domino rally not too long ago.
There's one on Amazon on a lightning deal for £8 right now.

drspouse · 09/12/2016 10:03

I don't suppose anyone has a Fatface discount code?
Apparently I had one and apparently DH told me he only wants one thing for Christmas, a Fatface jumper.
I wasn't paying attention. Now I've lost the code I had.

Mama1980 · 09/12/2016 10:04

My space NK stuff has just arrived, including the free goodie bag-I'm very impressed, its has the following in:
Mini black eye pencil
40ml overnight body treatment
60ml healthy hair treatment
Firming lotion/serum
Eye anti ageing full pot.

All of which is going to make a great present for my dd1. It's nicely packaged as well and looks bought rather than like samples if that makes sense. Thanks so much whoever linked GrinFlowers

Lapinlapin · 09/12/2016 10:06

margaritas they're from Hobbycraft.

trying link again!

Last time I tried to link to the page which showed the different ones, but that obviously didn't work! Trying again, but just with one. If you search though, there are different styles. When I bought mine it was in the sale, so down to £5.

trickofthetail1 · 09/12/2016 10:09

Curlyfrizzball, for DH's aunt, Leonidas are my favourite Belgian chocolates and they have a range of gluten free chocolate and sweet gifts which are available from Chocolate Expess with free delivery. Some of my family are coeliac and I have given their chocolates as gifts in the past.

Mummyreindeerlegz · 09/12/2016 10:11

Boots has some great beauty offers on at the moment. I got four full size freebies from revlon with a £15 spend. Would be a great stocking filler for someone.

DubiousCredentials · 09/12/2016 10:30

drspouse I don't have a fat face code but they are doing free delivery this weekend so that should knock a few quid off.

DubiousCredentials · 09/12/2016 10:32

Naturalblond my Boux Avenue pjs have been dispatched. I'd give them a call if I were you.

drspouse · 09/12/2016 10:35

Oh thanks Dubious!

Now back on PC so here's the link to the nice shopping/fold up tote bags:

miatui.com/collections/sue-eco-shopper

£5 each or 3 for £12 including delivery with the code SUE12

Great for teachers, adult stocking fillers, for people that can't be given chocolate or wine, and so on!

ASpiderInTheManger · 09/12/2016 12:17

Thank you for the sports direct advice.

This is a bit niche so not sure if anyone will be able to help me but does anyone know anything about ice skates? My nieces have both asked for a pair for Christmas, they are beginners age 6 and 12. I was looking at the sports direct ones but there's no reviews. It says they're heavily reduced but I'm sure they over inflate their prices massively to start with don't they? If anyone has any advice about beginners ice skates in general I'd be really really grateful. Looking to spend no more than £35 per pair. (The six year old has junior size 11 feet and the twelve year old has adult size 5).
Thanks in advance Flowers

neddle · 09/12/2016 12:46

Turtle bath toy that's also a thermometer. Less than half price to £6-80.
Looks fab for smaller children.

Rootvegetables · 09/12/2016 13:53

Ordered from studio for the first time. 050 worked for free delivery or 075 for £10 off don't think you can use both.

sixp · 09/12/2016 13:54

I'm really pleased with my Hype lucky dip bag. Thanks to whomever posted the code. Also just been delivered some free mince pies by an elf from Tesco!

CarrotVan · 09/12/2016 14:00

I need to get a load of token gifts for my mum to give to her carers and visiting grandkids as she and my dad won't think of it themselves. Anyone have any better ideas than a load of selection boxes and similar? I can raid B&M easily

insan1tyscartching · 09/12/2016 14:24

B&M had lots of nice mug gift sets in for a couple of quid which would be nice for the carers. Then perhaps stationery for the grandchildren.

trixymalixy · 09/12/2016 14:27

What was the hype lucky dip?

CarrotVan · 09/12/2016 14:31

Slight complexity is that the grandkids range from 3 upwards - the eldest likely to visit is around 20

bigredfireengine · 09/12/2016 14:37

This is a bit niche so not sure if anyone will be able to help me but does anyone know anything about ice skates?

I wouldn't buy skates without them having tried them on. You need to know the thickness of the sock underneath as well.
